I dont know how to go about testing my ram, but the game ran fine on a much older Win7 so that could be the problem Edit: tried it again, and as soon as I posted this, some green showed up on the status bar. Guess the comp just needed a good rest, but ill keep an eye on it

I recently found my old copy of Sacred 2:Fallen Angel in some stuff that I thought got left behind when we moved a couple years ago, and today I decided to install it on my Win7 for a nostalgia trip. So I put it in, went through the pre-installation checklisty junk, and then when it got to the actual installation, it sat there for about 30 minutes doing absolutely nothing before spitting out a "cyclic redundancy check" error. I thought maybe I hit a button I shouldnt have, so I tried it a couple more times with the same result. I really want to get back into this game, but Google only gives me extremely confusing answers for the Steam version of Gold Edition. Any idea what's going on?

Never mind, I figured out I could grab the file straight from the disk lol

It has now been 3 days and I have yet to recieve a reply. Googling it gives me tons of tutorials on how to modify items but not how to get itemtype.txt back. Official Sacred 2 forum has locked out new members so I cant ask there. I am desperate to get back into the game and I dont want to spend all day re-installing and re-patchiong the game again

So I booted up my copy of Sacred 2 this evening and noticed there was something wrong with the main menu. I didnt really think anything of it because im used to this POS laptop being glitchy, but then after trying to log in, I got a black screen for about two minutes and then it crashed. I tried to boot it up again and got the same issue so I went into the game files and ran a comparison against a list of all the files that I made when I first installed the game, and it turns out my itemtype.txt file is missing. TL;DR: Does anyone have an extra copy of the itemtype.txt file for the v2.43.0 base game, or know where I can find one?
