  1. A few years later, revisiting this character-idea. Initially forgot about this thread, made a new elf and came to a similar/but not entirely identical build: Armor Lore Constitution Shield Lore Bargaining Enhanced Perception Concentration DA Lore DA Focus AP/MS Focus Speed Lore Have to read up on why to take MS or AP as secondary buff. Remember both had their merits, but can't find the corresponding threads. Fire it is! And Speed Lore requires another offensive skill... what to take as #10; guess I'll go for Spell Resistance.
  2. just got a few deaths on the last swirling mist of miasma, smooth/problemless run until then. can't stand this, starting over again.
  3. Thank you, doing exactly that. Final build, now playing. Just got in Orc territory on Silver at level 18 and counting! * Enhanced Perception * Armor Lore * Constitution * Toughness * WE Lore * Tactics Lore * Pole Arms * RT Lore * RT Focus * EW Focus
  4. Thank you, pole arms it is! If I understand correctly the Cursed Forest is in Ice & Blood and as I play on the xbox, I'm limited to vanilla. I'm unsure on taking Warding Energy Lore, is it worth it if I'm not into micromanaging my Warding Energy all the time? I'm mainly thinking on using DP in boss fights, but not really into keeping it and WE up all the time. With the above in mind, and reviewing all Seraphim skills, I come to 12 skills which look good. Gotta drop 2: * Enhanced Perception (will not drop this) * Concentration * EW Focus * RT Lore * RT Focus * Pole Arms * Tactics Lore * Armor Lore * WE Lore * Constitution * Toughness * Combat Reflexes?
  5. Copy/pasted anmd edited from gamefaqs: Have played Sacred 2 on and off since release, but never reached niob and/or 200. Furthest I got was a Dark Melee High Elf level 128 into platinum. I lost all saves since. Now doing a Seraphim run from scratch. I'm currently considering the following build to take into NIOB: - Enhanced Perception - Armor Lore - Constitution - Toughness - Tactics Lore - Dual Wield (or Polearms?) - EW Focus - Concentration and either: - RT Focus - RT Lore or: - CM Focus - CM Lore My envisioned choice of Combat Arts will be: EW (main)- Soul Hammer, Pelting Strikes, Battle Stance (Buff) and either: CM (occasional) - Baneful Smite, Radiant Pillar, Hallowed Restoration, Cleansing Brilliance (Buff) or: RT (occasional) - Archangel’s Wrath, Flaring Nova, Divine Protection, Warding Energy (Buff) Tough choice. Overall I like the CM arts more, but DP is just so good not to use! Any tips/prefs which would work best as back-up for a melee seraphim? You might also see that I'm thinking about using polearms instead of dualwielding. I think it'd be great fun, but not sure whether it's viable in Niob?
  6. should've posted this in the seraphim guids section, sorry!

  8. argh! second death! I'm still in Gold, level 59, Seraphim Island. there's a quest where you get teleported to an arena to fight demons. 3rd wave of demons I died somehow. I was spamming potions and it didn't help. were the first potions I had to drink in Gold... I was so piffed off, I put the game down for the rest of the evening. Will pick it up again another day.
  9. Happy to read this thread and to see that part 3 is still in the making, last thing I could find was that press conference in 2010 or something similar.
  10. Thanks for all the comiserations. I'll get over it. If he debuffed me it would explain why the hitpoints went so fast all of a sudden. The build works great, I'm really happy with it. So I'm sticking with her anyway.
  11. Level 44, just finished silver campaign ten minutes ago. 0 deaths, killing everything with 1 or 2 shots, great bosskiller, hardly ever need to drink a potion. UNTIL I had to fight Nimonuil! The Barsteward killed me in 30 seconds. There went the Survival Bonus down the drain. Still able to kill the Nameless Guardians in about 7 minutes. Magic Coup only, it was like cutting cookie dough! Starting Gold soon, but might play a bit of Amalur first.
  12. I guess, you're right on that front. I guess I'll go Ice when the time comes. Thanks all!
  13. thanks for all the welcomes! I still find it a really tough choice between MS Focus or AP Focus. For me it's all about what buff works best. Incandescent Skin or Crystal Skin. Been reading up on it all day, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus on the different message boards. Ice seems like a safer choice, with armor increase and the option to reflect magic (all enemy combat arts?). But the damage reflection of the Pyro buff is sweet too. Thankfully I'm far from having to choose yet, because I have just started this character and only planning to take the skill as one of the final two skills. Any input will still be appreciated. (Maybe this thread should be moved to the High Elf board?)
  14. Thank you! Glad to be here, started my silver run yesterday. This is the build I'm leaning towards: 1 Armor Lore 2 Constitution (at CL, at least until Mastery) 3 Shield Lore 4 Bargaining (at CL) 5 EP 6 Concentration (5) 7 DA Focus 8 DA Lore 9 MS Focus (or AP Focus?) 10 Combat Discipline Not sure how many points to put in each skill yet. I think it's imperative for survival to get constitution to mastery ASAP. 5 in concentration seems enough initially as I don't see myself running 3 buffs anyway. If my melee elf won't work on higher levels, I might try a Devout Guardian TG Build, but I really want to try this first. By the way. Incandescent or Crystal Skin? Damage reflection vs Damage reduction?
  15. I think I'll go for another Melee High Elf, as I had the most fun with a similar build in the past. thanks anyway.
