  1. Sadly, it wasn't suddenly released as it was actually announced way back in 2010 They've actually had a fairly decent or at least average time to work on it, though some games can have an even longer development time.
  2. The game seems like it is pretty much what the developers said it was going to be all along! I like how even when the first snippets of info came out several years ago about the game, people immediately were like "Oh my gosh! Don't do it like that!" but they clearly ignored ALL feedback! No temple guardians!? That was my favorite class in Sacred 2! Of course I knew they wouldn't be a playable class for awhile now, but none at all and not even a cameo? I have this reserved for preorder...starting to consider canceling it. I thought it would at least be a fun solid beat-em-up.
  3. I can't understand why they wouldn't include loot drops? That just feels like a major oversight.
  4. As I suspected, this looks like it could be fun in its own right, but for the fact that I see no loot being dropped (as has been already established somewhat by the devs)! The way they've made it just begs for loot to be constantly dropping and all I see are little bibs and bobs of experience orb looking things? I guess I'll find out whenever I actually get to check it out for myself!
  5. It does sound fun, but not the rpg we were hoping. I was also hoping it would have mazes, caves, and forests to go through that weren't simply corridors. I think they got confused on what an rpg is supposed to be
  6. I'm guessing it will feel like some combination of Diablo 3 and Dragon Age 2 with no open world map, very simple leveling system, and possibly definitely no loot. Whether it will be fun or not is unknown because no real gameplay has been shown other than the few second snippets in shown in the trailers? It might still be fun, but nothing like the other Sacred games. If you squint really hard, the Safiri warrior kinda looks like Mayor Haggar and you can pretend you are playing fantasy realm Final Fight?
  7. Shhh! Don't give them any more ideas about DLC content! For instance, what's with this entire extra character class being locked out to everyone but those who preorder? I'm sure it'll be available for a $15 DLC package later! Something is wrong if your sequel to an rpg game takes away and starts with less character classes than the previous entry in the series!
  8. Apparently, the release date has been pushed up from the end of August to the beginning of August, so the developers must be confident they have done everything they can to make the game playable to justify releasing ahead of schedule.
  9. I would be happy just knowing what game already in existence will be most similar to Sacred 3. It doesn't sound like it will be like Sacred 2, that's for sure. The easiest question in the interview asked what customization will be offered to the player and the dev instead states that they have simplified the rpg - you can upgrade armor and weapons and choose combat arts. So basically, it will be like every other game where you upgrade weapons and choose skills? That really said a whole lot of nothing! You can do that in God of War! Sacred 2 gave you access to all the combat arts if you read a rune for each one, but you had to choose which one's to focus on! Is that what they mean? Maybe they should have interviewed someone who coded the game instead of the producer? It gave the impression of someone who knew what they were talking about, but is terrible at explaining what is really special. And we still don't know what this game will really be like!
  10. Do you think this game will be more like Champions of Norrath? Those couple games had fairly linear maps, but they were big and had you going around to many places before you would progress to a new area. It also had very simple character customization aside from what loot to equip. Simply choose which of the 5 basic attributes to drop some points into and then decide which tech tree points to use for your next skill. I hope that's what they mean by simplified. Honestly, I didn't think Sacred 2 was that complicated to begin with. It just had more than simply pouring points into stamina. Certainly, to be considered an ARPG it has to have some experience point allocation, otherwise it is just high fantasy Streets of Rage and you certainly didn't "level up armor", as the devs called it in the interview, in streets of rage. (Although you didn't really level up armor in Sacred 2 either - you found newer and better armor.)
  11. As long as the single player game remains intact, I would not mind an mmo mode. I think the main focus should be on the single player experience as mmo quests tend to fall into the kill so many spiders and return to quest giver type. There were enough quests like that in the games already!
  12. I would at least like to see what the developers come up with for the game. I assume it probably hasn't changed much from the original description that had been given, but no news has come out about the game at all except for the brief couple paragraph preview over a year ago. The Sacred Citadel game was released, but that was never supposed to be like the actual Sacred 3 title. I'm not very excited, but what comes out could still at least be fun, maybe? They are still releasing it right? I saw where the release date has been pushed back to December?
