Where do I find this for the steam version of sacred 2 gold? I've looked in users/ascaron/sacred2 but all there that's there are saves. Don't see a balance.text Using windows 7

So I have a question that I never understood, and still don't. I see a lot about having "shoppers" for new characters to supply them with stuff. But how do they use it when there's level restrictions on everything? You can't equip a level 100 gem or ring if you're level 10. So what benefit does this high level character shopping for others have? Can you socket the high level gems into low level weapons? That's the only benefit I can see if it works. Other than selling the high level stuff for tons of gold. What am I missing?

Yeah I'll just install them both to be safe. No big deal. Does it tell you where to put the patches in your folders or do they go there automatically? I noticed some might need some type of enabler

Hi I'm new to the forums here. I loved playing Sacred 2 on ps3 so I recently purchased Sacred 2 Gold for PC on eBay from the UK. I wanted to play it with Ice and Blood and the steam version would take days to download on my horrible internet lol. I was wondering if once it arrives will I need to download any patches? I've read about a 2.40 patch on here. Any help is appreciated!
