  1. I added a couple of new features since last weekend. Most importantly, cave entrances are now marked on the map and you can also see where they lead to. You can click on a marker and copy a link to it to share it with others. You can also click anywhere on the map to create your own marker that can be shared with others too For example, you want to show someone where is the Thorwyn's Club? Well, here https://sacredmap.netlify.app/?x=31265&y=11396 . I also added descriptions for some markers - if you notice something off - let me know. What is interesting about caves is that some of them were created but are not accessible from anywhere. Some of them are empty but some have mobs inside - maybe they just forgot to connect them? For example you can clearly see 2 cave entrances in Embalmed Forest that just don't work or 1 on Crab Island. But the caves are there just the entrances were never connected
  2. Hey, Some time ago I got inspired by a post on a Polish forum where one of the users was trying to create Sacred map from minimap tiles in a browser. I actually thought it was a great idea because I didn't even know about existence of such map. That's when I found out that something like this is already on SacredWiki, although I wanted to have a more "complete" version. It sounded like a fun challenge. So I started slowly coding the website, almost 2 years ago I believe. Well, that's how things usually go with programming side projects, I worked on it for a few days and left it, came back for next couple of days months later and so on. This weekend I finally finished zooming (I purposefully wrote it from scratch rather than using existing libraries) and deployed it on a free hosting so it's available for everyone now You can check out the map here: https://sacredmap.netlify.app I just want want to point out that I will be slowly updating it but I wouldn't count on frequent updates. But the map is certainly not finished yet so eventually some new features/markers will be available
  3. Actually the maximum number isn't that surprising because this is just the range of unsigned int type. As it goes for Sacred 1, it is impossible that they would have used unsigned short int, because it would mean that the maximum gold is 65 535 and we know it isn't. I'd also say that I don't believe they'd use signed types so it's either the same (4 294 967 295) or maybe they used 64-bit type (long long/QWORD) which would give us the maximum amount of 18 446 744 073 709 551 615. But to me, it doesn't make any sense and probably I can safely say: Sacred 1 has the same value of maximum gold as Sacred 2, which would be 4 294 967 295. Well, if they messed up a little and didn't set it to unsigned, then the maximum value would be 2 147 483 647.
  4. So the Greed ability is very useful since it really helps with finding all these rare items. The problem is, as Dragon Brother already mentioned, that base chance for finding a rare item is rather low. Actually, I always valued 2 other statistics above the one provided with Greed, that is Survival Bonus and just raw amount of mobs killed. I don't think it's effective to just walk around and look for "champion" mobs or even take a really long walk just to kill a dragon. The way to gather as many rare items as possible is to kill as many monsters as possible. So now you want to find a spot where you can kill a lot of mobs, turn on your Greed (it should be Greed, then War Cry, not the other way, and you need War Cry because of the defense decrease) and farm, farm, farm... Also, keep in mind that you defiitely don't want to die to have your Survival Bonus on highest %. Later on, you will be leaving most of the rare stuff on the ground just because you will not have free space in your chest and backpack Good luck.
  5. You can access this cave from Bellevue. For more accurate descriptions You should probably search through the internet, it will give more information I guess. From www.sacred.pl : And yeah, this is the same place as the quest You mentioned
  6. If we do count Finished Prototype Sword then we will have some more -Sunglasses - mission on the island in the south-east direction from Khorad-Nur. -Battered Machette and Hockey Mask (Jason items) - both lay on the ground. Available by going through the trees in Drakenden. -Thorwyn's Club - I have no clue how to call the place where it is. Between Hedgenton and Drakenden. There is a way form both of them, through the cave. You end up in very beautiful spot, there should be a grave under the tree. Click on it, your tem wil appear. -Lightsabre (only for Seraphim) - go to the cave in the north-east from Bellevue. There is a quest to rescue a girl from Sakkara Priests. When it's done head to Aish-Jadar and then head east. You should find burnt monastery, dead Seraphim and Your new Lightsabre. -Shadow Sword - this one is tricky, not every time is a unique. You can find it in the underground of Dryad Forest (there is a Babylon V ship as well). It one-shots You so it will probably take some time until You can figure out the way to reach the sword ^^ -Hack - through "Where is the blacksmith?" quest in Bellevue. -Book of Wisdom - complicated I would say . Obtainable in the series of quests "Path of true warrior" (direct translation from Polish, I'm not sure if this is correct one) -Golden Shield of the Gods - this one oesn't lay on the ground, isn't obtainable by any quest. Just "good-to-know". Go to Tyr-Haddar with Disarm skill. Find Elven Captains and fight with them... They will eventually drop that shield
  7. Yes, of course Just one run through lagged BC longed like 6 times more than with any other character I tried to do this with. Dagger Stare only affects about 3-5 mobs at the same time and doesn't deal that much damage, so killing 50-100 mobs that are around You would take ages. Stomping Jump doesn't have large Area of Effect (or maybe it's even single target, I don't remember) and depends on Your % to hit an enemy. Very little time You can save, at least You gain a stun. Yeah it really bored me. My Gladiator turned into a killing machine when I got full Icons+Fadalmar+Andiell but really... any character can do this and it's kinda "noobish". Without that, I can't imagine for example doing region boss solo with Gladiator.
  8. For wiping out massive waves of mobs (for example when You want to lag some caves) the best are classes with high-damage Area of Effect skills. With this in mind we can already rule out Vampiress and Gladiator. Seraphim has her Rotating Blades of Light and Celestial Light but they deal rather low damage compared to the rest. -Battle Mage: Ice Shards(Blackstaff)/Fire Spiral(Byleth). Both builds are quite effective but I'm rather a fan of Ice Shards one. Isn't that dependat on terrain as you need enough space around You to cast Fire Spiral. -Daemon: Poison Daemon/Blazing Disc. First one seemed little bit more tough at the start but then the damage is really outstanding, especially with Tree Rage. Second one is kind of "easy mode" because discs are doing all the work for You. I got really tired of casting them tho -Dark Elf: Poison Mist(Haborym). Amazing damage, easily destroys tons of mobs and bosses (struggles more with poison-resistant ones). Got yourself as much poison damage boost as possible and You are ready to go. -Dwarf: Flame Thrower. Actually, same story. The differences are that Your dealing fire damage and You can't setup boss mobs so easily because You can't stack Your damage. -Wood Elf: Penetrating Arrow+Multiple Shot(Ettol)/Call of the Ancestors+Thorn Bush(Xrystal/Meg An-Enid). First one is very fun but requires A LOT of clicking. With full Ettol set on Niobium mobs have their physical resistances reduced by 93% so... Magic build is also ok, also requires quite a lot clicking. Both of them have same weakness: WE is really squishy and it will be hard to lag caves (at least solo) because You can die instantly. I mentioned lagging caves which is possible only when on the server but this is why we have Tunngle :> For the most damage I would say: Poison Mist DE. That build mentioned here is ok, almost what it should look like.
  9. Just checked it out for You: "I have to leave" "Death can be beautiful like this" "Run for your life" "............." "Argh... heeeeeelp!" "Ahhh, a demon!" And that's pretty much all. I'm not entirely sure wheter there will be some more if You do more quests and will be better recognized in the town, I couldn't test it right now.
  10. The question is, have You even tried to run the server without forcing to work on just one core? I remember my mate had to do so some time ago but I always don't need to do this. It just... works. Also, switch Your type of connection to an ISDN option, no matter what it is in fact. About Your question: you should try it out Yourself, it won't destroy Your PC
