  1. Do certain parts only drop from specific bosses? I need one item to complete a full set for the achievement. I've farmed the Griffin countless times (must be over 100+), but it just keeps dropping the same 6 set pieces ad nauseam. I'm looking for Fadel's cord (elf, waist), but yeah, no waists are ever dropping. Doing it on silver just to 1 shot it.
  2. Hiya, I did read your build and did take some tips away from your thread. It's why I dropped riding and EP. Been so long since I played this, what I stated in my build made sense at the time, but coming back over a decade later, it made little sense. Plus I think the build stood up because I had all the +skill stuff at hand, and decent gear back then too. I must have had a lot more patience back then too, as I stated defence first, attack second. The problem I have now, that defence was slowing things down to such an extent, I was ready to bin it. Wasn't dying, but wasn't really getting anywhere fast. I do now have both GT and RN down to around .5 secs. Utterly devastating things now on gold and I suspect I'm under levelled being only level 52 and 80% of the way through. trying to rush to plat so my shopper can get the decent stuff. All that said, the further I'm getting into gold, the more the lack of defence is showing. Still have no deaths, and around 85% survival bonus, but things are getting hairy at times. So gonna have to concentrate more on defences now, now my regens are at a good place. I suspect if I stepped into plat on a level 55, some bosses will 1-shot me.
  3. So I've shamelessly been playing this build again (now level 50), but kinda did something different. I dropped riding and EP, and took bargaining as I had no choice but to go with bargaining as I had no shopper. Being on console, I can't download other folks builds. So in place of "riding", I took combat discipline, albeit it much later on and just went with bargaining. No doubt it's a strong build, but it starts off really slow. Like really slow. Kinda found it boring at first because ice damage kinda sucks at times. Especially against the undead. Didn't help I had little or no +all skills or deathblow jewels. It's those that make this build shine. Something I had to do too was initially make a fire elf just to farm the white griffin, as the ice elf just wasn't cutting it even on bronze. I could kill it with ice, but it was taking waaaaaaaay too long. But eventually got some decent set pieces with sockets on them. Level 50 and now on gold, it's ripping through most mobs, but at the expense of lacking some defence, so have to chug a few potions still. But without a doubt one of the best boss killers in this game. Even at low levels, it chewed through anything that wasn't the white griffin. Plus that griffin is annoying with it's debuff thing it has going on.
  4. Do not even remember doing this. lol No idea what the hell I was even babbling on about. Have to admit, making a shopper is a chore in the extreme, more so because you gimp yourself in the beginning. So the EP makes sense.
  5. Good to see you're still running this joint. Games, just the usual fair with the likes of Diablo, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc etc. As you can see, my gaming preferences are a tad limited. Gotta give Sacred 2 credit, it's not aged badly at all. I was expecting to take a hit on the reality v nostalgia side of things, but it's all how I remember it. Having to learn things all over again. Also have a new xbox account from my 360 days, so have to re gear and make a shopper all over again. Iirc, blacksmithing was broken on console along with some other things, but yeah, it's still how I remember it. Weirdly enough, I still remember the map pretty well and boss placements etc. So farming hasn't really be the ballache it could have been.
  6. No idea when I last played this game, maybe around 2011, I dunno. But recently went back to xbox, after years on PS, and noticed this game was back compatible (and only under £4), so I thought, why not? So aye, how are you all doing?
  7. I'm glad they've taken the route that they did with Sacred 3 as I would have felt I was missing out on something had they stuck to the Sacred formula. After the way console gamers were treated by DS (being told bug fixes etc were on their way, only to be shafted and fed more lies), I haven't bought another DS game since and never will. All Deep Silver needed to do was act with some deceny and honesty by telling us we were unlikely to recieve future patches and I and most other console gamers would have accepted that, but they chose to string us along in the hope of selling a few more units on the 360 before the game hit the bargin baskets. Hell, just look at the state of Risen on the 360 to see how little they care about the crap they shovel onto consoles.
  8. At least it's lost the dodgy music from 2.
  9. haha, I never saw that massive link at the top of the page. D/L it now. Thanks again, Schot!
  10. thanks for the reply. It's next to impossible to get the gold edition and the places that do sell it are asking around £40 (pc games here in the UK usually go for £30). Can't even get it on Steam.
  11. Hi, looking to get into Sacred 2 again, but this time on the PC and was just wondering if this laptop will run the game. The GPU isn't the greatest. Laptop specs: Processor: Intel Core i5-2410M (2.3Ghz) RAM: 6GB RAM Hard Drive: 750GB HDD Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Screen: 15.6" Optical Drive: DVDSM Graphics: nVidia Geforce GT520M (1GB Dedicated) Any help greatly appreciated, cheers!
  12. Remember the game is 0.5 out with it's percentages for some bizzare reason. To get the achievement you actually have to have 19.5 or lower. It's the same with the 50% map revealed achievement too. You get it once 49.5% of the map is revealed.
  13. There is, it's called the game manual that comes packaged inside the box. Surely half the fun with Sacred 2 is learning through actual experience, which like any game of its kind, involves discarding a few characters along the way? Too many console players unwilling to put the time and effort into learning a game that has a steeper learning curve than the likes of Gears of War etc.
  14. With Divine Protection up and running, armour becomes somewhat insignificant. Chance to evade modifiers, Battle Stance and Divine Protection is all I used with a similar build. Didn't even feel the need to take armour lore past 20 soft points. All my sockets contained were chance to evade, deathblow, life leech, +all skills and +all Combat Art's. Anything else was merely because they happened to be the secondary effect on those particular jewels. Like any toon build, it's all about utilising the skills at your disposal and this particular build has some of the best defensive Combat Art's found in the game, so I wouldn't go worrying about armour values like I would with a HE. Whilst I agree there's a difference between those values you mentioned, they're a little bit overkill. Even on the highest difficulty, the game isn't so insanely difficult that you need to have PS at level 150. I don't think I've ever taken PS over level 60 and never encountered an enemy I couldn't take down quickly with a level 60 PS. the only benefit I see having regen per hit with this build is if you have no intention of utilising deathblow.
  15. I don't think regen per hit is really necessary with this build. I'll assume his spamming skill is PS, which has an animation time of around 3-2.5 seconds, so no real need for it. Regen per hit is useful for skills such as Darting Assault or something similar which has a much lower animation time. Also, reading through his posts, he's needing to sort out his defence rather than his offence. I have never used regen per hit on this build as it's somewhat wasted. I also think battle stance, with the correct mods, allows you to easily eat waaaaaaaaaaay above penalty. Around level 40 eating BS runes shouldn't have too much of a knock on effect. BS has a very low regen penalty compared to the likes of Barkskin etc. He's also lacking Deathblow which is obscenely over powered once you get it to 60% and over. Enemies that are a chore now suddenly become irrelevant. Having around 40% life leach also helps you regenerate health, so that too is useful. Yeah basically, if you're going toe to toe with enemies you're needing a decent defence (Divine Protection) and a means of disposing of them quickly (deathblow)
