  1. OK, so bargaining is flippin awesome! I was sitting at about 220 at level 83 in gold level and it was just OK at best. I'd find the odd piece here and there but it was often frustrating. Well, I finished the campaign in gold and moved to plat, and then had the good fortune to run through plat with a very nice fella today. So, Sitting in Niob with my first character Blacksmith/shopper inquis now and after 2 hours of shopping I'm sitting at character level 89 with 332 buffed(mastery level) bargaining and the stuff im finding is just incredible! LOL. I LOVE/HATE this skill! I really don't think I can spend so much time with all my characters doing this but there is NO doubt if you want the goodies that bargaining will pay out in plat/niob for sure!(Curious...does EP also Really start to pay out big in plat/niob with high buffed skill?) Is that a good level to sit at for a while? I think I could squeeze another 10 points or so(I'm currently using all +11 relics and almost every slot has a +8 all skills in it but a few here and there) Woo, nice love this skill now Just as I was typing this alt tabbed back in and just found a ring with +8 skills/32% Deathblow One question regarding blacksmithing, I have noticed even though my buffed skill has gone up nearly 100 points since entering Niobium that I cannot smith higher damage. Do those three smithing arts only go up with hard points perhaps? thanks!
  2. So, yeah! I'm curious about Map uncovered and survival bonus in relation to magic find. Does anybody even have an educated guess as to how much these might add? Do we guess only Very slightly? Moderately? Maybe a fair bit when you consider both? I read someplace that having a ton of +Magic find is likely more beneficial that EP + SB + Map uncovered combined. Is there any truth to that? Anyhow, thanks all! Have a good one!
  3. Yep, sure can. Here is a SS of both my level 85 Tinwora's. One is smithed a bit but you can still see it lacks the Regen time it's supposed to have hehe. and my smithed one I really hope it's just the 85 ones for me AND that I get lucky soon and find one or three lol
  4. Hrm! Just got another one! GRRRRR. Same level to, level 85. Is it possible that just the level 85 ones are bugged perhaps? Can anybody confirm that the Tinwora's curse above level 85 HAS the item modifier Regen time: minus whatever. BOO, that is another tinwora's I can't use. Still using a level 29 and a 50ish one I'm 80 now! lol.
  5. I use dual Tinwora's curse on my primarily magic using Inquisitor. Nothing gets me going more than finding a new one So, today I happen to find a new one! level 85(I'm currently 72 now) and I'm like Heck yes! So, I call up my mobile chest imp and open my blacksmithing panel to do some tinkering on the spot. I finish up and equip it right next to my other level 50 something Tinwora's and all the sudden my regen/cooldown goes up! UP:) It should have stayed about the same possibly even 0.1 seconds down as the Minus regeneration time should have been slightly better. I look closely and notice there is NO regen Item modifier!?!? How can this be? I've found a total of 5 now in my time playing and ALL of them but this one were all the same, identical other than level etc. So what's up? I feel cheated lol! A Gimp Tinwora! Was this just some bug somehow or does it sometimes just happen that uniques can spawn minus item modifiers or even with extra modifiers? GRR! I don't like that one bit lol
  6. Indeed! What is the shadow trick lol. My Bargaining/Blacksmith Inquisitor could sure use any help getting through some ranks here. What's this trick? lol
  7. So, I plan to buy the EU version plus expansion in the next week or 2. I've looked about, likely missed something someplace but I cannot find the info I'm looking for. Can I still use my US characters(likely not right?) ? Or heck, is there any point to keep playing other than to test some builds atm? Hrm! Oh, a second and totally unrelated question lol. I've been told conflicting info on this...on the CLOSED NET servers can I move on to gold level Before my level is 60 if I complete the campaign? or must I be level 60 regardless of finishing? I was under the impression only SP you could do this, but somebody in the lobby today said if you finish the main campaign even in the closed net servers you can move on. I hope I can, would be nice to move on before hand if only for the shopping/smithing etc Thanks!@
  8. Yeah, there was plenty of standard servers both last night and early this morning. However, about 5-6 hours ago me and some other were booted from our game and there has not been ONE server available to me since and I have not been able to create. I can still see a ton of ADDon servers though, course I cannot access those having bought a US version BOOO!
  9. Rings, amulets, socketables: Look for + all combat arts, + all skills, + nefarious/astute aspect, + opponent's level for deathblow. At level 35 you should have 60% deathblow or more. At level 60 you should have over 70% deathblow. At level 100 you should have over 75% deathblow and at level 140 you should have over 80% deathblow to keep your damage output high. After reading this whole post I admit to being jealous of the niob shoppers etc These caster builds are WAY more difficult/challenging with just your own buying power. I went a mainly(has some melee...but focus on spells) caster Inquisitor with bargaining/blacksmith as well. So that obviously hurts my combat skills a bit but I'm having fun so far. I took in order Bargaining, Dual wield, Armor lore, Gruesome Focus, Astute Lore, Combat Discipline, Constitution, Blacksmith so far and will have Concentration at 50 and Astute Focus at 65(it's hard on the regens getting both concent and focus this late lol...but almost there) I'm not going to list all my equip currently but it's not bad certainly. My bargaining skill is buffed 108 atm at level 47 and I usually do a full level to 1.5 every 5-7 for set pieces so I DO have decent gear for a self getter. My questions are thus: How the heck you getting such high DB% AND still maintaining some decent levels of +all and +combat arts. I have the two weapons below socketed with All gold level damage on the officer's and the Tinwora's with 2 amulets that I got lucky on and had +2 all/combat each for a total of +4 to both(is there a +3 level range or does it shoot up to +4 skills in the 60's?) Officer's Saber - 3 gold sockets + 1 elemental modifier socket - great for customization for a lot of %deathblow Tinwora's Curse - -regen time; + all combat arts; 2 gold sockets + 1 elemental modifier - great with its + all combat arts and regen time reduction YES, I could wash the officer's and add all DB rings but they only spawn for me in the 18-20 TOPS % range yet(and with gold level smithing that is about 55% damage and 60ish attack value gone). I did a little testing and grabbed from the shop 2 weapons that had a BASE 24-25% DB and 2 sockets each...adding 2 DB rings each AND I have those set gloves with the DB%. When I equip those my raw damage goes WAY WAY down(of course) and my DB% only reaches 69-70 ish. I went and did two Griff/Boar runs and once they hit 70ish% I swapped weapons and I honestly did not SEE any difference. Could be observer error...but is losing all that +damage and +all/combat arts Really worth the DB? Higher levels when I can shop +DB AND combat ok. But pre 60's that is so rare I have not even SEEN one yet lol. You guys are much more experienced than me...I WILL listen(I'm not a total stone head that will not take advice lol) Is dropping all that RAW damage/att% and those extra +All/Combat arts worth it for DB? For instance, in silver with nobody in the server. My levin array does about 880 or 920(can't remember lol) damage at 47 plus whatever the same rank for clustering maelstrom does. I run into Orc caves and IF I can scoop up even one of the spiders and more than half the time if I don't all the orcs die in one cast anyhow or have so low health one regular swing drops them. Obviously add people and that is out the door. I'm assuming the DB would help in a full server where they actually have enough HP to live through the initial volley anyhow yes? See, I'm all just being silly here. It doesn't help that my Cluster/Raving/Levin combo is a regen of 9.8 seconds lol. But, no concentration/focus yet I'm likely finding my own problems already hey? I need to get to those levels and those extra skills ot make an acccurate judgment because as it is now I CANNOT make a second cast in the orc caves with that combo or even just Levin itself lol. Generally speaking though, is it worth dropping all those other bonuses for DB? Thx LOL
  10. Well, I'm much more magic oriented atm. My main combo is Clustering Maelstrom + Raving Thrust + Levin Array Anything of 4-5+ mobs everything dies including champs in silver and most things being +4 levels(orc area) atm. Even in the orc cave where I sometimes only get the 4 champ orcs if I grab all 4...they usually die or are so close one melee and they are dead. So yes, magic is my thing with melee mainly being for groups of 3 or under or bosses. Now that I think of it I think I should change my question to mean mainly Boss level mobs with VERY high HP totals etc. Maybe 2 sets of weapons(yuck lol! sometimes it takes enough time for just the dual wield to be filled out nicely lol) one with ALL damage etc for mass murder points and one with higher DB as I'm sure I could just use the high damage set till the Boss hits my % level and then swap to DB to Double KO them down? Anyhow, thanks gogo! My shopper is right now at 30 fully buffed 74 Bargaining. So, about 2.5 times my level which gets me what I need atm. I know it's not the 3X people recommend but honestly I'm not sure how people get that level after about 20 if it's their FIRST shopper lol. in Gold I can see it. I have plenty of +4 all skill rings/amulets and have 2 swords waiting that have +6 all skill AND 2 slots(I have blacksmith to...so even though silver they are easy to slot) I know it can be done, mainly through pumping bargaining directly a little more but not sure I need to atm as even when I hit the shop to just sell and am sitting around 44 bargaining I still occasionally see light sabers and I believe they are rank 12 items yes? I actually find no difference when I have my full set on for 74 and when I just walk in and have 44 lol. Anyhow, I hope by gold I can have around 180 buffed for 3X level will be fun! I love shopping lol. Thanks!
  11. Which is better overall? I know different cases can change ones answer but what would you all say is "Usually" the better? I am level 30 on my shopper/smith Inquisitor, Gruesome/Supremacy with an emphasis on Area of Effect(magic more so than melee) I'm still new-ish to sacred so I'm not sure if I should be throwing DB items into those sockets, straight Damage arts in or a mix. Grr Is there a general consensus here? plz lord don't tell me it's completely user taste Thanks!
  12. Sorry all, I would have asked in the TG boards but they seem a little slow atm and I know lots of people patrol in here So I've made myself a utility TG with this build http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9517 That Dobri has constructed. Now, I've played some slower characters in other games....but am I setting myself up for one heck of a gruesome leveling grind with this guy? hehe. So far in Sacred 2 I've played a few flavors of seraphim(dual wield shopper and BFG) Fire HE, Inquis, and a SW ALL of which seemed immensely more powerful Do TG's just happen to take a long time to ramp up or as I asked before, am I in for a nightmare of a ride here? It seems the single target damage is very low and the Area of Effect although OK is nothing to write home about as yet due to regen etc etc. Now, I must confess I'm only level 14 atm lol....BUT, as I stated as well ALL of my previous characters felt just sooooo much faster and fluid while killing etc Being a Blacksmith/shopper I expect some slow down. I'm really just curious if later down the road they Do start to pick up some? Would my pick have been better spent on an Inquisitor and getting the utility skills? Yes, I KNOW I can just try both but I do actually have less time than I'd like and even getting my TG to 14 has taken me 2 nights now(only a couple hours a piece) Anybody have any advice or insight? I was thinking I could drop EP for Source warden lore for at least a nice Area of Effect or two down the road and will gladly if you all think it might be worth a pick(still a loooong slog to 50-65 though if it's this slow the whole way through lol) I'll do it if it needs to be done, just looking for some info Thanks all!
  13. Hey all! I'm late to Sacred 2 but LOVING it thus far. I played a bit on normal to get the hang of it etc and have since moved to HC(little did I know it would still share my loot box from normal! nice!) I'm playing a High damage fire HE with shopping and it's been a blast so far, HE's just Wreck everything so far when you start socketing +skill/Combat skills lol, Wow! Currently I do constant Orc cave hunting mixed in every 5 lvls or so with a full level of Boss(Griffin and Boar) runs for loot along with my Constant checking at the merchants. I DO know that come gold the orc caves does seem to slow down a fair bit(my seraphim is 65) I'm wondering if there are any excellent places that just screem Area of Effect plz! Something good for a fire HE that is not quite as confined as the orc caves(I don't find it dangerous...but if you DO screw up it can go down hill fast lol) I've heard mention of Werewolves(heard not so good with fire though?) and jungle as well. Can anybody explain where those areas are and if they are actually better experience than Fast orc cave runs>? I have one other question, I never see anybody else playing HC Little bit sad lol. Is it only like this in the early stages(bronze/silver)? or does it continue all through gold/plat/niob. Seeing as how nobody is around I thought I had best make myself a blacksmith character to, Almost wish I had not taken bargaining on my HE and just made one character with both but whatever. Do any of you fine gentlemen/ladies have an opinion on which class might be the Easiest leveling that can also take blacksmith? I was thinking TG or Inquis but having never played either I'm not sure, I have somewhat limited time so making the right choice now is preferable lol. Anyhow, thanks all!
