Hello,

 

I'm czevak, a moderator from the german official Sacred 2 Forum. We were able to recode the XMAS-Land from version 2.34 into Ice & Blood v2.65.1.

 

I wonder if you guys could try this mod on the international Version of Ice & Blood, since I think the scripts and pak files should be the same.

 

My Modification should work for SP, LAN and Open Net (XMAS enabled server needed to join, or open your own). (EDIT: *duh* Sorry for the closed/open brainbug confusion)

 

There are two files in the Zip-Archive: xmas-enable.exe to install the modification and xmas-diable.exe to revert to original v2.65.1 (to be able to play closed again).

 

Disclaimer (just to be on the safe side): I am not responsible for any damage to files, characters oder equipment, that may arise from using this inofficial modification.

The zip file contains two Patches. The one (xmas-enable.exe) activates the Christmas Island quests in Sacred 2 Ice & Blood v.2.65.1 (and incidentally some changes to the map of the island), the other is the original state v.2.65.1 Restore (for those who want to play in Closed again).

 

Notes:

 

* As the dragon mage was implemented only after v.2.34, he can play through the quest line though to the end, however, shall not have its own set of Xmas as a reward from Weihnachtsoger. Instead, he receives the set of the shadow warrior, which has been adjusted so that he can attract. (The cap keeps ready a little surprise.)

* The patch is compatible with my Chatbug patch, since the Xmas-patch does not rely on the Sacred2.exe.

* The quest line in Artamarks gate, which usually leads to the island could be affected by the changes on the island map. We are sure to 99%, that this quest line with durchspielbar Xmas extension is (among other things have been added cleanup scripts that provide after clearing the mess that it as unobtrusive as possible), but recommend that before starting the quest, simply to remove the Magic of Christmas . (Better safe than sorry ...)

 

 

How-To perform: simple and be happy. The patcher detect the installation path for Sacred 2, check the current version and patch if everything fits.

Well everything worked fine until I should open my present, there was no way to interact with it so I couldn't open it.

 

Here stands my Shadow Warrior and is so dissapointed that he couldn't open it:

Aw crap...we modified the SWs Reward-Quest to give the Dragonmage also something...guess now it's only DM. I will look into it. Thx.

Were you able to do this in Closed net or Lan? I've gotten the zips loaded and when I try and log into closed net, I create my own server, I get a message to check my internet connection. So I tryed it on Lan and so far its working.

Ok so I checked this out, Download of the patch was good. Unzipped patch and ran the install and everything was fine. We can only play the patch on Lan, SP, or Open net. . I tryed to run Closed net but no joy. So only got to run Lan. But that's ok I at least got to run the quests. In the town where most of the quests are happening I found that after completion of the quest my camera would shake like an earthquake. I got this to stop by walking over to the monolith. And I ran the quests with my Shadow Warrior, only toon I have saved. No presents for him I guess he didn't follow Rule #1 and #2 enough. After I finished the quests I ran the uninstall and it worked fine also.

And we have family Pictures for Xmas. Thank you so much for the patch. Only thing that I wasn't expecting( call it a glitch or not) I had a LAN party of 4 players. 1 High Elf as leader, A BFG, A Queen of Blades seraphim, and Dragon Mage. when the HE hit the Present I got 4 sets of HE gear. I was hoping each player would get the Set for there class. but no worries. I'll just run it again for each Class so the whole family can get their presents.

If I may speak for all of us at Dark Matters, Thank you very much for bringing this patch to us at Xmas. There are hundreds of new members that have just joined us this past several months that may have never gotten the pleasure of hunting Christmas trees, polar bears, and the fun of building a snow man or decorating the Christmas tree.

 

I think this quest chain is as exciting as Ice and Blood is. even though it is small in scale compared to Ice and Blood, it is something new and unique to those that joined the Sacred2 family just this year.

He doesn't have a lot of armor just a huge amount of hit points and that expulse. I just took him using a zero time level 200 dryad with full Detheya's set. 5% Life Leach from the set. He had 1,600,000 hit points. I was on Plat and he was level 126. that Detheya's set is awesome. she's a real boss killer with that set. only took like 10 shots with RI modded for double hits.
