Full Version: Planning ahead for an Inquisitor

I'm currently running a build inspired by the MTCityHunter guides. My intention is to go right to level 200 without dieing. Thus being able to survive niob is my biggest concern, whilst still being able to lay out the damage. Basically I'm looking for some advice on which, and what order to get my last few skills, that will insure that I can survive. I'm still uncertain on bargaining(I have no shoppers), while bargaining will help mid to end game, surely a character without will surpass it?

Currently level 29 with the following skills(hard skillpoints)

Astute supremecy Lore - 29
Armour Lore - 16
Combat Discipline - 1
Concentration - 8
Tactics Lore - 19
Nefarious Focus - 9
Sword Weapons - 1

So, the last three skills will include constitution and astute focus, then probably either bargaining or toughness. What would be the best order to take these, and which of bargaining and toughness would help ensure I live to continue the glorious Inquisition(what it is I'm inquisitioning I'm not exactly sure).

Currently I'm just going around Area of Effect farming as its incredibly good fun, and I dont feel that my single target dps is that strong at the moment, and the soul reaver buff gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Thanks, any enlightenment on this would be much appreciated

ps. I know dual wield is more effective, but I like 2h swords icon4.gif

edit: lol, this forum still surprises me, even auto editted my area of effect abbreviation

Someone help, pretty please! level 31 now and only 4 levels before I have to choose next skill! Feels like I need all of them.
Grindtime33
are you a caster or melee?

Focusing on astute Area of Effect supremecy(see what I did there? 2biggrin.gif), with gruesome CAs for bosses, and Netherworld debuffing.

If you lacking in equipment would pump up bargaining next level. Depending on how your regenerations are for astute the focus would be great for the higher level without penalty and also the regen time. Keep in mind if you do bargaining you need it at least 2x player level to get good equipment. But relics help with that I believe you will have +3 at your level right now. So 6 of those is 18, plus your all skills. I think bargaining is a great tool to find + skills rings and ammys plus good equipment if you can't find sets you like. If you dont have a bargainer I say you need one. But however hahaha lots of buts umm...the constitution adds tons of hp depends on how many health potions you drink lol. Sorry not much help. But my inquis I started is only 18 right now I don't have any set items either blah, its tough right now for him.

I rarely have to use pots, as with my Area of Effect grinding the soul reaver keeps me 100% He is godly right now in that department, although I have been avoiding bosses because I think I lack the single target dps. My main concern though is setting up for the higher levels, will I have enough survivability if I take bargaining. The class is a blast though, clustering maelstrom>levin array>raving thrust is pwnage when you have them modded. Raving thrust>clustering>levin is great too, but sometimes awkward to target. Its great just blowing up 30 mobs, then entering god mode with soul reaver mwuahaha =)

I would say bargaining. You need to find good rings and ammys to socket in your stuff for higher levels in my opinion. The + all skills, +all combart arts, DB, Chance to Evade and so on. Thats so tough because I think Constitution, Astute focus, and toughness is essential for end game. Hmmmmm......

Well I have 3 slots, so probably is going to be bargaining, astute focus, and constitution. I just fought Gar Collosus, and it took ages. Mainly because I couldnt hit him, I guess bargaining would help with that.

Get deathblow up to 50-60% more if possible and you will destroy the bosses. also, -opponents chance to evade

Rusto:
I think the short answer would be - Astute Focus, Constitution and Bargaining.
Unless you can get online and trade for/have someone smith your all skills, deathblow etc, etc... then you can drop bargaining for Inquisition or Netherworld Focus (for modding either your attack spells or Soul Reaver) and to have high-level Combat Arts from those aspects.

I started one of these guys this week... a return to my favorite character! So far so good, but I also fear getting to the bosses until some better gear is found. At the low levels, I feel it's best to have a little of each of Attack Value +%, Opp. Chance to Evade, Chance Opp. Cannot Evade and Opp. Defence Value when fighting bosses. Inqui's get 4 rings, so it's just a switch-out from my exploring ring setup to bosskilling setup.

Typically, attack rating is no problem because of Reaver, but the colossus is pretty far away for dragging a couple of orclings to be able to use that strategy, so another way to increase the Chance to Hit will be needed. The guardians are the other boss that is hard to use Reaver-souls for fighting.

Yea, I remember using a lot of - chance to evade stuff for my SW spectral hand build, I'll keep it in mind. Also about the deahblow%, its funny you should mention that Grindtime. I found a hood with +% to find valuables, I wore it for the hell of it, and I got a 2h sword with 37% ish deathblow within ONE MINUTE of putting the hat on haha.

So anyway Before I just blitzed the orc lands and got to level 35. I took bargaining, bought a couple all skills stuff, now my regen times have halved lol.

Happy days, love this game.

haha, yeah that is crazy man. Good luck with the Inquisitor Im currently on my first one as well. Doing the caster build instead though. We'll see how it goes.
