  1. Its a good question. Wiki vs forums The Wiki was created as a matter of structure...things dont get put into it or created for its unless a concept that wishes to be published. here in the forum, especially with many many thousands of posts, we find ourselves swimming in an ocean of posts, all in modding general with some sweeping out into other places.. as Im not a modder at heart im a loss to know where to keep what kind of modding posts where and which new groups or groupings to make ? Kind of like a Wiki but only comprised of posts I especially noticed this a few weeks ago when looking at Modding... Modding has so many levels of expertise within it, beginners guides, damage types , game mechanics, behaviors adjustments, ... Guess what Im saying is rather not than us put all like topics together is there a way to bring groupings to all the topics general modding so that when someone looks down, they can perhaps see an index and then drill down quickly to knowledge they need? This worked very well when we brought all info from forums to the wiki years go and it got it organized, and now years later seems like we have same thing here at darkmatters again tons of high end reference material that can get lost if its not given order. How to organize this huge body posted knowledge into easily and eve progressively read reading? I can give some advice to a project of this magnitude but unfortunately im not a modder at heart and I would be missing that talent needed to make all the modding data here at DarkMatters become easier to find, read and use it to synthesize more data with If i went rambling sorry, just first cup gogo

  3. @Lindor I can't find the last place where we were talking about tracking down certain things in global.res, so I'll just post this here with the rest of the global.res stuff. I have a very useful file, that is all of the hashes and corresponding Loka-ID's from the last official release of the game (from the decoded german global.res, I believe). Using this you can cross-reference what lines of text are linked to what functions, as well as how to construct pretty much any Loka-ID you might ever need. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10oCMnqKRq7rG6MUHRZ1asqd9KyRHepUQ/view?usp=sharing

  4. High Elf Level 1(+bonus) Supreme Start View File [Silver Difficulty] Entire Chest [Consumables] 8500 High Elf Runes, 1000+ Blue, Red, Yellow Potions. [Level 1|2] Amulets, Pendants, Rings [Level 15|16] Paragon Ring, Pendant (all skill+) [Level 20] Paragon Ring All items were gathered in silver quality, however the Paragon Rings & All Skill+ Pendants are Niob quality. Many potions have extremely high gold values if sold to a merchant. Removed: [Level 1] High Elf swords, hefted, staves, pole arms, bows, shields of Legendary quality (+ a Rare sword & shield) I ended up leaving these in for other people to decide, but for me they are game breaking so I no longer use them. Instructions: Be sure to back up your existing chest.sacred2chest file before doing anything! Installing this file will overwrite your Shared tab in your player chest. For XP, it's located in: C:\Documents and Settings\<userID>\My Documents\Saved Games\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 For Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\<userID>\Saved Games\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 After you've backed up your chest.sacred2chest file from the above folder, copy the chest.sacred2chest file to your save game directory and restart your game. You can then find the armor in your shared belongings chest. Grab the armor pieces you want and then save your game and exit. You can then restore your normal chest.sacred2chest file to the Sacred 2 folder and restart and continue your game. 5. Hello Lindor, Thank you for checking out the file! I created it from a tester perspective as I spent about 250 hours (I'm just over 320hrs total) using downloads and trying many many builds to level 50-120. I tested a LOT of High Elf sets, builds, and shoppers (b/c of their 4 ring slots and 2 pendants). What I learned about extremely quick leveling is GI Runes are king, but so is a godly level 1 weapon. This Chest File is what I used to power my testers to at least level 20 where I would start gear and build experimenting with Downloaded Sets. This chest file also allowed me to very quickly establish a small shopping network for levels 50, 75, 90, 110, 135. Very useful to quickly find a balance between character level & Bargaining skill to maintain tier 12 vendor items as long as possible (I went too high and had to delete characters at first). I personally have deleted all the weapons from this chest file. They served a purpose; expedient knowledge gain through experimentation. I now play a 100% unadulterated High Elf Pyro with no downloaded item files. I'll likely start a Serephim soon, but I can't decide right now. There are a few tempting class picks. Thank you for the link! I have started reading some threads on this subject, possibly in there - Schot posted one about using Bronze server to farm Griffon (drops capped at level.20). I'll probably be doing stuff like that later. Right now I am going to push the story hopefully to plat. Big dreams for this one. Thanks again and nice to meet you!

  6. Hi Bladesinger How kind and generous to share the good stuff with us! Thank you, you are definitely a good addition to our community if I'm allowed to say. I noticed your interest in up- and downloading Sacred 2 items. Maybe this topic is of some use for you: It may look like it was little bit of a controversial topic back then, but nowadays people are quite chill. Not only is it good for creating testchars if you're running a different game version than the item uploader so you aren't dependend on legacy items which have bug potential, it's a super useful guide for any modder as well. Have fun!
