  1. A cautionary note to Seraphim players about 2.34.2 , the current online version. I’ve noticed when I have an NPC accompanying me that the regeneration aspect of Hallowed Restoration no longer works.
  2. HC is a great way to make you proud of the build you've created. In SC, you die, lose your SB, and, well... so what, the resurrection shrine is right around the corner. HC mode, you care about your character. Losing your character is painful, especially to bugs. And I've lost'em both to my own actions and glitches. But my characters journeys before they died more than made up for their loss. Ultimately, the satisfaction I have in my current character is not something I could get in SC.
  3. Are you wearing items that in some manner cut down on the enemy's chance to evade? That's something that can have almost a one to one ratio for increasing your percentage chances of hitting.
  4. Many people seem to believe that the energy shield is good for the TG, because it can regenerate, but a poor choice for the Seraphim, because it can't. But instead of considering it to be something that has to stay perpetualy on, to directly keep the character alive, I employ it for something else. Namely, to test the waters in new encounters. While it will go down in a long fight, the amount of damage it takes in initial contact can provide an excellent indicator for whether health pots/ healing Combat Arts will be sufficient, or if you need to bug out. If it's only getting plinked, you'll probably be fine. But if it takes 1/2 or more damage right off the bat, you're in a serious fight, and need to take action as appropriate, whehter it's firing up all protective measures and gutting it out or bugging out entirely. By now, many people have played every area multiple times. But even for them, encounters in known areas can be "new" because of the many dynamics in online play, such as the number of people on the server, or adventuring with those of a higher level. So, using the shield as described above can still be valuable for them.
  5. Well, at least I know it wasn't just me. For Schot, Gogo, and the others, sorry about my abrupt disappearance. I got zapped from the server for whatever reason, and afterwards I could not get into the server lobby screen at all, even after multiple tries. Hopefully I can hook up with you all again soon.
  6. Hello, I'm interested in MP HC, and D.A.R.K. seems like a good clan to be part of for doing that. I hope to earn that trust through playing online with some of the members here, but have yet to meet them If applying for Fellowship Status do you agree to abide by all the posted Rules of the Fellowship? Yes
  7. I recently began doing online MP HC. I've played Guild Wars online, among others, and I've done a fair amont of the Sacred SP. But I am admitedly very green about Sacred 2 online. So I'd like to know some general good rules of conduct, beyond obvious politness. I mean, what are the things beyond good manners and helping the group have fun that could be overlooked by someone who is inexperienced in this situation?
  8. The frickin undead, who rise... and rise... and rise again. I got so tired of their resurrections in the swamplands, I started breaking out the Glacial Thorns with my HE after their first death. I'm deliberately using GT at an absolute minimum under normal circumstances because of how unbalanced it currently is under 2.31... but nuclear level retaliaton feels good under those circumstances.
  9. I think you may have meant only Seraphim and High Elves could get the lightsaber, because that's definetly a High Elf in the picture, as confirmed by her Combat Arts.
  10. Woohoo! Given how good the grapics appear to be for Sacred 2, I bet lightsaber attacks are awesome. Thanks for sharing the picture with us!
  11. Ah, okay. I misinterpreted the description of Soul Reaver on the Sacred Wiki.
  12. Gogoblender, you bring up a number of interesting points, such as the use of minions by the Dryad and Shadow Warrior as well. The reason I commented specifically on the Inquisitor's ability is sheer numbers, as the Dryad is limited to one minion (though if that minion can be a dragon like the Vampiress could do in S1...WOW). And the SW, while able to control more, will still be under a low limit. But the Inquisitor's Soul Reaver seems like it's designed to have a much higher cap, and thus able to generate the army sizes capable of flattening most monster groups. Your counter points are definetly worth thinking about, especially as regards to bosses I believe. As far as distance goes, I lean towards that not being too much of a problem. From the comments I've read from the main board, I'm guessing that Sacred 2 will have a fairly steady supply of enemies. So an Inquisitor Minion Master build will typically be constantly plowing into them to keep the army maintained, and I think they'll probably be able to enter into most boss fights with a full up army. However, your point about elite monsters may prove quite accurate, as strong area attacks could decimate the entire army. The general main point I believe you were making, though, that Inquisitor Minion Masters will still encounter difficulties and struggle at times, should be accurate. Ascaron seems like a good developer overall, and I'm sure they've given some monsters abilities which will counter the build. I did play Guild Wars for a while, and two of my characters were minion based builds. And while that didn't insure victory, they were frequently brutal on missions and freestyle maps with ease.

    welcome to darkmatters Mystic :)

  14. Hello everyone, I'm looking quite forward to Sacred 2 and am glad I can get info here, at Sacred Wiki, and at the main Sacred 2 forum. When it comes to Inquisitors, Soul Reaver almost sounds like a gamebreaker. Let's see, not only do I get to raise undead minions, but they become more powerful as the army grows? Yeesh, as if Minion Masters weren't typically powerful enough in these types of games. Then, to make the ability totally ridicuolous, the minion timer resets every time a new one is raised?! About the only problem such an army will probably face is flying monsters, if the minions can't hit them. Beyond that, unless there's a hidden drawback, Mininon Master Inquisitors are just going to rapidly annihilate everything in huge chunks of areas.
