  1. Perhaps someone could walk in a somewhat straight line from one side of the map to the other in both games, and see how long it takes for each of them? Though S1 is so full of obstacles...
  2. Their value depends only on the level of the skill that unlocks them, and the difficlty you are in. The same item will have different values in different difficulties. The values are usually very small, I think that's why you don't see a significant increase most of the time. Try with much higher skill levels. They do stack. Unlockable modifiers are always the same, you will not find higher bonuses later on. Check out the Serious Open Wounds for example: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Chance_to_inflict_Deep_Wounds
  3. All wikis are giant spoilers, there's no need to add a notice about it There are exceptions, such as cases of puzzles or riddles, which could be hidden by a spoiler template. I don't think Sacred 2 has anything like that though.
  4. If you hold two swords, only the skill bonuses from Dual Wield apply. If you hold one sword, only the skill bonuses from Sword Weapons apply. The second skil is only for the unlockable bonuses. I believe the Double Hit only works with regular attacks. I think it works like an extra attack, you hear an additional slash and the char suddenly chops monsters faster. I was having lots of fun alternating my Pelting with simple attacks. It made me wonder if regular attacks are actually more effective than Pelting. I ended up using the left click for weaker enemies in low numbers, and Pelting for larger groups that need an extra oomph.
  5. For a "fun" build, I'd definitely pick both Dual Wield and Sword Weapons. Yeah, "waste" a slot, most uniques, yadda yadda... I once realized that most of my time in Sacred 2 I've spent playing with the Officer's Sabers. Everything else was inferior, because pretty much every sword you find has some hidden mods on it. I got really bored of opening my inventory and seeing new swords with red mods. It was like "Ok let's see what we got this time. Meh, all these swords give me only two bonuses, because I don't have Sword Weapons. I guess I'll keep using the Officer's Sabers that I've found 20 levels ago and have been using ever since." But then I made a Seraphim with both skills, and suddenly I could use any sword I liked, dual or even two-handed, and swap them whenever I found something different. Not to mention the dual Boneslicer option. And the LORD did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats...
  6. I send some tracert results in pm (it had lots of IP addresses). I use Firefox, and yes I only noticed it a few days ago. Guess it didn't fix itself Wouldn't that cause problems when I visit other websites as well? It only happens here.
  7. They last about 4-5 seconds. I set the board to always log me in automatically, so I'm always logged in. The wiki on the other hand has no such problem.
  8. Every time I try to load a page on this forum, the browser freezes for a few seconds. When happens, the status bar is usually displaying intellitxt.com address. It's very annoying.
  9. Yep, it's just the name for an unknown Speed type.
  10. That's because you don't have Sword Weapons (or other relevant lore). When you get Sword Weapons, it becomes Attack or Casting Speed (or Running Speed in case of Armor Lore, iirc). You can see it in Quetzal's screenshot I posted in my Twin Boneslicers topic. There's a reason I recommended taking both lores
  11. I assume thats for random items of that tier? It might work for uniques and sets, can't remember unfortunately.
  12. TraderOffer_MaxLifetime = 900 Affects the vendor reset time. You can set it to zero and run around the starting isle vendors, whose inventories reset almost instantly. You need to walk away a certain distance, but you don't need to change areas anymore. ZRareBonusamount Affects the number of bonuses displayed on items of various qualities.
  13. I would have made all escort NPCs invincible. It would have been a very simple fix, and it would have made the quests much less frustrating
  14. I'd recommend having multiple links, when you have scrolled down and the previous link is no longer visible. Basically, a link every two-three paragraphs would add a lot of convenience.
  15. A bit late, but the files are now available here at Dark Matters. The original links still work though, I don't know why you couldn't use them.
  16. 637 downloads

This Sacred 2 mod changes the appearance of several swords, making them look like lightsabers from Star Wars. Also check out the discussion page. Have fun, Antitrust
  17. I like this skin Nice find. However, That is the ... trend of "modern" web-design. Some --- has decided that narrow web-pages look cool, so now everyone is making their pages narrow. edited by gogoblender: Please be careful of tone/words
  18. I've used what you call an axe for wood chopping I'm not sure if it's the best tool for it, but we used a neat trick which involves driving the blade into a log, and then hit the stuck axe-head onto a wooden surface in an upside-down motion. The log basically chops itself, and it doesn't matter if the axe is too light
  19. Sorry, didn't notice it till now. Personally, I went for 75 Dual Wield, and 75 Sword Weapons. It can be just as viable to put 1 point in Dual Wield and 75 in SW, as there is no shortage of skill bonuses in that game version, and people say that Double-Hit from Dual Wield mastery only works for regular attacks. Or was the 2.40 the version the one with soft masteries? Can't remember In that case it simply wouldn't matter that much. Regarding Exalted Focus vs Tactics Lore, you could spend about 20-25 points in Tactics, and master Exalted Warrior asap. I find it's a lot easier to get more damage, than it is to get more regeneration at early levels, so that's why I give lower priority to Tactics Lore.
  20. I know, I know... You all prefer and Which is just as cool Yes gogo, that's the Free to Play model, cash shop with an option of subscription and all that jazz. Here are a couple of screeneies from hand-to-hand combat, from a pirate ship I boarded: Ugly, ain't they?
  21. Ok I see how everybody cares Anyway, here's a screenshot of a big battle naval officers do at level 20 as part of their career My ship is the red one in the middle, everything else is controlled by the AI (which is rather intelligent in this game). Some of them are allies, some french. There's another group of similar size on my rear, figthing off french reinforcements.
