If you can survive the Orc Cave and have a reasonable amount of Enhanced Perception you can get some better loot than you had, and fast. My best so far was 5 set pieces and 2 lvls in 30 minutes, and my Enhanced Perception at the time was only 49 (5 hardpoints with +all skills and relics). There's a good writeup on it in the Guides section. It's best to be able to clear the place in under 20ish seconds, otherwise they will not respawn and you'll have to take a break and go do other stuff for awhile or leave the game and come back.

From what I've heard and seen of XIII it's crap. They should have ended the series with XII rather than stick the brand on such a crap game. I'm not expecting the new MMO to be worthwhile either. They just did a bunch of major changes to FFXI that caused alot of long time players to quit. On the bright side, it gave me the opportunity to get into Sacred 2.

Not sure if PS3 has the same weird HDD issues that 360 has on some games, but you might want to try deleting the cache on your harddrive if you can. I have one game that requires you to either format the HDD everytime you want to play or play an MP3 while loading the disc or it will come up as "unreadable disk." Does PS3 allow you to copy games to the HDD like 360 does? I'd try that if it's possible.

I had thought the same, which is why I was confused when earlier in the post it was mentioned that PC didn't get RpH until Ice and Blood. I'm guessing they couldn't figure out how to get the smith skill working so they us RpH as a consolation prize. I started seeing .2s about level 20 with Barg of 40, and I'm seeing .3s at 32 with 90 Barg. I love it because the animation for Amplifying Discharge is longer than the regen time.

I've only had the game a couple of weeks but I've logged about 100 hours with various characters. One of the things that really accelerated my learning curve was simulating HC mode. If I die, I delete the character and start over, with only enough runes to grab the important Combat Arts early on in my chest. This has really forced me to pay attention to my build and make sure I keep my armor and weapons updated every 5 or so levels. The awesome builds that people have shared on the boards are great for starting out, but I found that I've started to enjoy the game alot more now that I'm at the point where I understand the mechanics enough that I don't have to follow one.

Was there no RpH on PC until Ice and Blood? I've got several RpH items socketed and I'm on 360.

I dont know if you can do this on consoles, but on the PC in the invertory you can switch between a character screen and a mount screen where you can then select either your normal or unique mount, whichever one is selected is the one that gets summoned, so there may be something similar that you can do. There's a mount screen on consoles. Just click on the unique mount first and then summon.

Nevermind, I left the game and came back and his inventory is back to normal again.

Ok, if this has been discussed elsewhere I apologize. I didn't find a thread for it. I was level 17 and about 1k tnl when I finished UM quest. I try to buy the mounts, and all 4 mobiculi are displayed but unfortunately I was about 10k gold short of the shield regen mount. I use the portal to Western Tyr Lisa and pound a few kobolds, get a few drops, and return. In the process, I dinged 18. Here is where the bug comes in. He's selling like 10 different mounts now: 2 different Seraphim mounts, 2 Dryad mounts, and 6 mobiculi. The problem is there are 3 DG mobiculi, 2 LF mobiculi, and a S W mobiculum...but no Shield Regen mobiculum. I've tried warping and coming back, zoning in and out from the nearby cave, taking off all of my bargaining relics...all of which result in him changing his inventory slightly but the Shield Regen mount will not appear. Weirder still, the off-class mounts are not greyed out...but since they would give me no benefit and take all of my available funds to purchase, I don't want to buy one just to see if I can ride it. Has this happened to anyone else? More importantly, can anyone suggest a way to make it reappear? I'm thinking perhaps purchasing one of the aspect mounts and selling it might reset his inventory, but I wanted to get some expert opinions before I did so. Thanks in advance.
