  1. I'm using it on Windows 11 with no issues...or at least, nothing that wasn't the case back in 2013 or whenever I started playing this. :p Long as I'm talking about it, I'm moving on to the community patch. I don't like some of what it does but the glaring balance issues still in the game are getting too hard to ignore. Flix said this project might be a good stepping stone for people to decide if they want to play the CM and by George, it worked.
  2. You too! I'm surprised and glad to see you're still active as well. Gaming forums like these are a dying breed.
  3. I'm making my first post in like 6 years to say that I love this. The targeting and pathfinding fixes alone have made things feel so much snappier and better to play.
  4. I registered here years ago and kinda forgot about it, but lately I've been getting back into the Sacred games pretty hard. Thought I'd poke my head in and say 'hi' since this is about the last place on the internet where people still talk about these excellent games.
  5. The Dwarf was my favorite for a very long time, but since I've discovered horse archery...well, I just don't know if there's any coming back from that. I should have noted that I like Sacred 2, also. Both great games, but the first one will always be my favorite. Now I just need to figure out how to open .pak files and I'll be able to bend the game to my will. Thanks for the welcome, both of you!
  6. Hey! I'm Jabarto, and I love Sacred. Ever since I read about it in a gaming magazine I was intrigued by it, and when I finally got it some years later, I was kicking myself at not having done so earlier. My mounted crossbow gladiator is bringing me joy even today. Unfortunately, I understand that the Sacred community is getting pretty small. The offical Ascaron forums are getting loopy, the latest patch for the game is becoming harder to find, etc. So I thought I'd come here and try to learn about and preserve knowledge about this game. I'm especially curious about modding (I assume that's okay to talk about here?), as I've only recently become aware that it was even possible. So yeah. Nice to sort-of meet you all.
