  1. Just amazing Flix. You deserve your own personal cookie shaped Death Star.
  2. Well said gogo. My feelings exactly. I've been in denial for a while about the disappearance but... I need to move on! lol. I think it went in the wrong direction anyway. When it went from UnSacred to UnBended I felt a bit of a twinge of doubt. Didn't really make sense to me. Hopefully they'll come up with a new project with a new name! In the meantime, we're happy to showcase other kinds of development. Cheers Flix! It's much deserved. Now if I could just get the sidebar on sacredwiki to spell download with a captial D. Argh! lol. Some wierd glitch going on there.
  3. No worries Bondbug. Couple thoughts I have for you. I'm guessing that the livebox came pre-configured whereas your Netgear is not. With that in mind you might need to call your internet provider for your username and password to put into the Netgear. As for the "how" with regards to the Netgear, I had a look at the manual: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGN1000V3/DGN1000v3_UM_1Aug2013.pdf?cid=wmt_netgear_organic I think you would need to follow either page 18(NETGEAR genie Setup) or page 41(Internet Connection Setup Wizard) There's a good chance that your internet provider would wallk you through it. Granted, sometimes getting help from the ISP actually makes the process longer. Call at your discretion! Oh and the filter/splitter... It's been a long time for me that I've had to use those but I think that using a filter on the line that goes to the netgear would prevent it from working. I Think the filters are only for use with telephones. Hope all that helps you get to where you're going!
  4. Heya Bondbug. Getting into a bit networking hocus pocus huh! Let me see if I can break what you've said down: You're in Home-1 and you want to test a potential network setup for Home-2 while at Home-1. Home-1 Network is using a Livebox that is a Modem/Router combo and the 3 computers are using wifi to connect Home-2 Network will use a Netgear box Some questions: What is the Netgear model number? Is the Netgear a modem? A router? Or a modem/router? When you will bring your stuff to Home-2 will you just be bringing the Netgear? Are you bringing another box along with the Netgear? It's possible that the Netgear may need some setup whereas the Livebox is simply plug and play. Might need the online manual.
  5. Oh, interesting puzzle. It's seems that the links you posted in fact do not work as you said. https://www.sacredwi...Ice_&_Blood_Map https://www.sacredwi...:Map_of_Ancaria https://www.sacredwi..._Map_of_Ancaria However these should work for you: http://www.sacredwi...Ice_&_Blood_Map http://www.sacredwi...:Map_of_Ancaria http://www.sacredwi..._Map_of_Ancaria Hope that helps!
  6. Hey guys. Seems to be working now. I could pretend and say I slaved for hours to fix it, hehe. But honestly, when gogo pointed it out to me it was already resolved. Must have been a temporary server burp/fart.
  7. Hey you, DB! I wish I could say I've been secretly working away in the background, haha. I've not been around much. I think I'm subconciously hiding from the impending major updates I need to do here on DM and over on SW. Though I'm always itching to find the next gem of a game. Sacred 1 & 2 is hard to match! Ok Flix. I opted to restore the auto created support topic and then replaced the content with a link leading here. I had a look at the database option but there seems to be many value references like strings going this way and that way. If I move a couple strings some others might get tangled!
  8. Great! I'll see about the support topic. Might be a bit tricky but as a temporary means maybe I could restore the deleted auto-generated support topic, delete it's contents and put a link in it to redirect visitors to your topic here. In the past I know I've edited the database for this sort of situation though it's always an unnerving endeavor, haha. I could also move posts here to the auto support topic after restoring it but of course there's the issue of time stamps... I fiddle around and see what happens.
  9. Tada! Oh rats, wait... https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmXw7Xsgdss6gmHZUfLlMdgTYrcR Ta... Daaaaa! I put it up a couple days ago which I downloaded from that other site. I hope it's the right one. Great work Flix. Clearly you are insane, (to have done all that), lol. P.s. I gave you power to link to an external file source in the Downloads section Flix. Let me know if you get stuck! It's a bit finicky.
  10. Thanx gang! I had planned to just chill aaaall day. Maybe a bike ride, movie'n'stuff like that... Ha! Yah right. Reality had it's own plans for me, lol. Had 5 customers burst out of the wood work who were in "desperate" need of my immediate attention. Argh! That's what happens when when yer birthday lands on a Monday I guess huh. Doh! On the flip side.... I got an unexpected bonus wad of cash on my b-day sooo... Yay me?
  11. CHeers guys. Glad you approve! Been dying to use that little chest icon for years now, haha.
  12. After a very long dissapearance, the Sacred Underworld Map is back! Sacred:Underworld Map of Ancaria Maplib once hosted this map but long ago it shut it's doors and it's site. Life as it goes prevented this project from re-emerging. Until now. What I find most exciting by the return of this map is that while it was on Maplib it was limited to a size of 9936 x 6922 pixels. But now... Now I have it rendering at 22320 x 15495 at full zoom. Enjoy the extra details and close up all!
  13. Welcome welcome Flix! Though I always thought of you as part of the team, it's nice to finally and much deservedly make it official. Can't wait to see what we do in Unbended!
  14. Merry Christmas Everyone. Woohoo! This is the best Christmas evah. Thank you Santa! I love Global Warming!
  15. Is this an example of the kind of website content you'll have Knuckles? http://www.trylon.com
  16. Minor edit to the Uniques Database page. Saw that there was need of a DragonMage icon so I made one and added it.
  17. Well thank god for no need of a complicated unfathomable solution but boy that was a stressful upgrade. Everything is mostly A ok now. Just need to fix some things that were broke from the upgrade now.
  18. Oh yes rm3000. We've been shot in the foot a number of times in the past. A website is much like an old world ship in a vast unpredictable digital sea I like to think. I hope I can be as good as Indiana and avoid giant rocks while I upgrade the wiki! I'm in the process now of creating a backup and setting up for the upgrade process. Might be done this evening. And hopefully that'll resolve the trouble we have now...
  19. lol Flix. Iiiii remember that lil gif, hehe. It's looking like our host may have upgraded our server php causing the PCRE part of php to fall out of compatablility with the wiki. Looks like a mediawiki update is the simplest solution so I'll give that a go this weekend. Strange that this just happened out of the blue like this. Thanx for posting guys!
  20. Well here's their theme list. Lots are free but paying 20 bucks for a theme I feel is fair too. Easy to get a quick pro look using the themes. Ideally, you'll want a "responsive" theme. Responsive meaning the website/theme will fit any media interface from pc to mobile. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sort/newest. Wordpress has a built in function that allows you to browse and install themes directly from within the admin controls of Wordpress as opposed to having to download, upload and then install a theme like some other software I know. *cough* our forum *cough!* On a functional level there are lots of software that could provide you a perfectly informative site but there are only a handful that can provide a very professional look with minimal work. T get a better idea of your options out there you could check Softaculous' top ten list of CMS's. Softaculous is an auto installer that comes with most hosting packages. It there to make installing forums, blogs and the rest easy to start. It's in their interest to provide easy installation of the most popular softwares and from what I can tell they only have free solutions listed. http://www.softaculous.com/softaculous/apps I had fogotten about Softaculous but now that I'm thinking of it... I may have recommended Drupal or Joomla instead of Wordpress. Wordpress is firstly a blog software that can be adapted to suit pretty much any need whereas the other two are more portal cms's. I had done quite a lot of reading on these three in the past and had decided that Drupal would have been a great choice for a project I wanted to try that was along the same basis as what you need. A relatively static site with occasional minor updates. So! I would recommend some quick reading on those three choices, then write their names on pieces of paper, and pull one from a hat, hehe. All three have excellent world community support which means they all have tons of plugins and themes being genereated by their respective communities. Most of which are free. Good luck! Aaaaah ha ha ha ha ha! *lightening & thunder* But do keep us updated.
  21. Safest bet is usually Wordpress Knuckles. Which is a CMS as rm300 mentioned. I wouldn't recommend creating a site from scratch as a first timer. Way easier to learn from something already made. Important factors are what the purpose of the site is, possible future needs, level of user freindliness required. If it were purely informative you could probably go with a wiki but since you mention "customers" it gets me thinking the site may need to handle transactions in the future which Wordpress has a large focus on. It's free. I believe you could even start one with free hosting from their website. If you're after hosting though I believe Namecheap is running a special. We buy all our domains from them. Never tried their hosting because they don't offer what we need but for first timers it's fine for a year or two. Maybe even forever. For a site with your needs Just about any hoster could fulfill what you need since your site will not be focused on social which means minimal traffic. Namecheap provides a tool called Softaculous that will install Wordpress for you as well as many other popular CMS apps free with their hosting plans. Seems they start at about 12 bucks for the first year and then about 40 bucks for following years. Changing hosters is risk free so no need to worry about locking yourself in with a hoster in case you find a better deal in the future. So Wordpress on their free servers would be my recommendation. If you prefer to own your hosting then Namecheap. Lot's of free skins for Wordpress and tons of documentation. There's even a book! WordPress For Dummies As for your ISP I "think" they generally charge quite a bit more than pure hosting companies online...
