I can't think of anything off-hand I might want.  Maybe the global.res so I can see what the original U.S. localization was like.

  2. D2 mod The game is English and German, I am a Chinese player, can you do a Chinese patch? We have a lot of players in China.

Hello and thanks for your interest. The mod is only available in English and French. I'm unable to do a Chinese patch because I don't speak the language. I would have to use Google Translate and I believe it would be full of errors.

  3. Ben I hope you are well, there has been a lot of cold and flu viral infections going around. Also not to worry about completing the Huntress project, please forgive me what I had said before, I got way too eger. If you have other projects that you have made a start on, do those. My possible character ideas are simply just that, ideas. While I would truly love to see them come into being actual playable characters, I do realise that it would mean changing not just one character for another, but also that it must take lots of coding to change the combat arts and ontop of that I figured that you would need to make sure that the runes for the character get dropped and are also sold via Rune Merchants.

I do not doubt for one moment that all of that is not easy work to do. Please accept my most sicnere apology.

Hello and apologies for my lack of response/updates.  I think it unfair of me to offer something and then not deliver on it; I just can't seem to muster up the enthusiasm I had before.  There are some personal struggles going on right now, and while I do continue to tweak my own mods (just to keep myself occupied), the prospect of making a whole new character seems almost like too overwhelming of a project to start.  I don't want you to have to wait in perpetual uncertainty, wondering and wishing.  Maybe we can just keep the character in the realm of imagination for now, and enjoy the fantasy?

      Best wishes,

      Ben

  4. Happy New Year Everyone. Please may I ask Ben, aka Flix, how are those combat arts for the Huntress Character going? Does anything need changing? I so would like to be able to play this character and use her combat arts etc. I definitely want to be the first person to do a Huntress Build. It has been quite some time since you said that you would get to work on the combat arts.

I'm not worried, just really very eger to play as the Huntress, in a good and excited way. I cannot thank you enough for all of your efforts, your hard work etc. is beyond appreciated. I hope you had a most wonderful Christmas and are having an even more wonderful New Year Ben.

Happy New Year!  Please accept my apologies, I simply had other projects that took up my attention instead, so I just sort of forgot about this one. Now that I realize you've been waiting all this time, I feel guilty. That's a lot of patience!  I will experiment with some of the combat arts for the Huntress in the following weeks.

  5. I'm feeling quite sad and a little disappointed, since I posted Sacred 2 Archives Part 2, Part 3 got only one response and part 4, 0 responses and I would like to know what please, anyone. I hope it is not because I am a Trans Woman. It maybe a case that no is interested in those posts, but both of them I find a bit hard to understand why, have I said or done something wrong? How can I make those two posts be better? I ask most sincerely. Right now, I am just so, so very upset. HELP! Please.

It's a pretty quiet forum honestly.  Most of our members are lurkers.  Many of our posters who make steady appearances just drop in to talk about common, every day stuff, or play some of the simple forum word games.

I feel fairly confident you are not being ignored or ostracized.  It's just a forum dedicated to two games that are somewhat old, and which were never very mainstream to begin with.

I myself used to be much more active as far as posting but it feels like my day-to-day life just demands so much time from me that I feel good if I can just remember to stop by the forums each day.

  6. Flix,

Thank you for replying to my question about how to hide the HUD in Sacred 2 (Gold).  Unofortunately, I have no idea how to "erase all the interface textures so that they're invisible (open each file and erase it, making it transparent)".  I found some "graphics#.zip" files that contain user interface .dds files; but it does not matter what I do with them (the game shows no effect).  I even completely deleted archives containing textures for the UI, but the UI remains unchanged when I launch the game.  I am no modder, and I really need someone more knowledgeable to help me.  This would be my favorite game if I could turn the HUD off.  Is there any chance that you (or anyone reading this thread) would be willing to asssist me?  Even if you could tell me what files need to be modified, that would be a great help.  I play with Elite textures (but I do not know whether that has any bearing on the UI).  Anyway, if you have an idea, or could offer some instructions for a nubie, I would be most grateful.

    Sincerely, Xal

      I don't, sorry.

Sorry, it won't work, at least not the way I was talking about.  Not if you want to actually play the game that way.  The HUD would still be there, it would just be invisible.  You'd be clicking stuff all the time without intending to, pushing invisible buttons and bringing up invisible windows.  Plus, you wouldn't be able to do anything like turning on buffs, managing skills and inventory, equipping weapons, etc.

The game would just become non-functional if you removed the UI.   All you could do is run around and take pictures, but you can do that anyway with PrintScreen because it removes the UI in the screenshots.

  8. Dear Flix,

I spent hours trying to solve what I think should be a simple tweak to Sacred 2 Ice & Blood (v2.65.2) but found nothing of help. All I wish to do is to turn off the user interface / HUD in game.  The screen is far too cluttered for any real sense of immersion.  Is there any method you could propose (or generously create) to hide the HUD?  I am sure many others would enjoy it as well.  Thank you for considering this.

    Xal

Depends on if you want to just make the HUD invisible or actually want it gone so that it doesn't exist anymore.

You also have to think about what exactly you want removed.  You say the interface, but that would include the inventory, skills window, CA windows, journal.  I'm assuming you just mean the HUD.

The most basic answer would be to erase all the interface textures so that they're invisible (open each file and erase it, making it transparent), but all the invisible buttons would still be there and would be "in the way," in a sense, because you could click them.

I have no idea if kohoka's solution above would work.
