At level 35 you certainly may select Enhanced Perception rather than Shield Lore. It should allow you to find better Armor and other useful items, especially amulets and rings. I have discovered while playing Purist Fix Pack that Glimborins Garments drop, albeit rarely. With Enhanced Perception, you should find that such set pieces drop more often, especially after slaying certain boss monsters. You will most certainly have to collect these pieces from multiple levels to obtain a full set. I recommend using a surrogate High Elf for your Shopper if you want to find the best jewelry in the shortest term. However, you might find that doing certain things the way that see best is more interesting; personalizing the game your own way can serve as its own reward. Have fun; let us know how you fare.

I thought that all Steam games must be played online using their client and a viable internet connection. Nevertheless, if I could obtain a legal copy of a recent Formula 1 racing game that I could actually own, I might consider investing in a virtual gaming system for it. Because, you are correct, a game controller is grossly unsuited to playing a good racing game. I do, however, believe that you underestimate your competence as a driver. I always wanted to drive for Formula 1, ever since I saw the movie below as a child.

That's actually quite impressive, sir. I ended my racing career shortly after I recorded my video. I found that using a game controller is much to imprecise to properly pilot a Formula 1 race car. I would never attempt to drive an actual car with one. Investing a lot of money for pedals, seat, and a steering wheel in order to make it more realistic just didn't seem fiscally responsible. I also stopped using Steam altogether since then, as I like to actually own my games, not "rent" them with a temporary license permitting me to play them. That's probably why I have amassed nearly 200 games at GOG.

It might seem a "lazy" build to have Shadow Veil as a permanent buff, but it's a great way to develop ones own personal S.W. Blacksmith to a high level. Skeletal Tower when properly developed is quite utilitarian. Later, I create a character just for shopping and purchase the jewelry that I need to boost damage and pendants to lower regeneration time to half. I save my chests by level (ranges 10-20, 30-40, and so forth) to reuse at will on a subsequent play-through. Find a character that you especially enjoy and save gear for subsequent games!

Don't underestimate the power of defeating ones opponents before they can do any significant damage. Spell casters can do this if the build is proper and they have sufficient protection (specifically, Defensive Skills and Armor of all types). Few armor pieces, shields, and jewelry selections possess Damage Mitigation, "This is the way."
