  1. Another trick is just bringing the bottle from the cellar to a warmer division inside the house for warming up more progressively. It tends to normalize the cold on the glass of the bottle, so when you pour it to the actual cup it doesn't suffer that much of a thermal shock. But it's very well pointed that you'll want to grab the cup by the stem when you want to avoid changing the temperature of the wine. I for one don't like wines with sweeter grape variants too warm because it tends to blur the taste and feel too sugary. When it's high Summer and the bottle is a bit warm half an hour in the fridge before opening it doesn't harm it much. Regulating the wine temperature according to what's written on the bottle's label is always a good practice though.
  2. Does it stay like that after a restart and reload? Or with a new character? Do you have any mod installed?
  3. Animation blending times whatever changes from CM 1.60 perhaps?! I believe that it's hardcoded if so.
  4. Yeah, that was precisely my point. So enabling it will make both quests available at the same time "like usual". I'll try v1.0 with everything enabled then. Small note to everyone trying this, when changing from Beta to v1.0 remind yourselves to first disable the Beta version on GME and then enable v1.0, otherwise things may go south. Also noteworthy, first enable the main Fixpack module and only afterwards the optional DM and Christmas modules. Happy playing!
  5. Dumb question, if the Christmas Patch is enabled do both quest lines on that island become active at once like before?
  6. More points for my memory then!
  7. Not sure if it's relevant, but I remember a conversation between myself, Flix and D. where I basically questioned both of them about flyers in Sacred 2 (regarding the Elite dragon mounts in that particular case) and the consensus was that they don't actually fly per se. As in, the game treats all units in the game as "land" units, the flying is just an animation in the movement. So it's probable that that crow suffers from that same predicament. I dunno, maybe it's the wine talking.
  8. I know that format has a specific name, can't tell you what it is though. But those are great for wine if they have like 400+ ml capacity. I wouldn't recommend the ones with 250-300 ml because they get very small very fast.
  9. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. You have left-click for attack and right click to execute the chosen CA right? So why not just hold both buttons at the same time? It works.
  10. So many pearls, so little time. I'll make sure to update my files then, still not sure when I can find some time to run it though. But I will!
  11. Usually elementals of the given damage type will drop them, or in the case of ice crystals you can also farm ghosts. The area farther to the northeast of Griffinborough is basically a ghost area, the name eludes me right now. PS: Whisperwood!
  12. Nice! Good to know that the cause has been found, and here's to hoping it doesn't get you too much work to correct it Flix.
  13. Uhn, funny... I'm pretty sure I made that lv.75 blank toon pack for all classes based on CM Patch alone (1.50 or 1.60). But it's been years so... I'll see if I can run a char from level 1 onwards. Some vanilla things I wasn't exactly dying to see again were "selling price" and "pacifism". Vanilla being vanilla.
  14. Ah, finally some me time! So, I made a clean install of the game, slapped the Trimmed Elite Textures and adjusted the Nvidia CP to my liking. The game still looks very nice, though I had forgotten how bright it is in some areas. Dropped the gamma slider to its minimum and made a few more adjustments on the Nvidia CP. It's not perfect, and the mobs' rings do feel a bit blurry but it's a small price to pay for the absence of jagged edges on most of the game's surfaces. Started a seraphim in Silver, went to Char Editor and gave it the level 75 blank toon treatment as to not be disturbed throughout my trip to Ancaria. Some considerations: - I've noticed how the autocollect ring radius is smaller than it should, does it still need to be manually corrected in options.txt like in CM 1.60? - I rushed the main quest up until the end of Gar, no crashes or voyages back to desktop. - Gar didn't crash, but being that I was OP in comparison to him he couldn't really attack me. Maybe the issue occurs when he attacks? - I've noticed some instances where mobs are over the area limit, namely a few Kobolds near Thylisium which were at char level, and in the Special Mount Island, though I'm not sure if there the mobs' minimum level is always the same as your toon. - I've tried altering the save to have access to higher difficulties, and strangely enough it didn't work? Everything else did, level/xp/skills/CAs... Not sure what's going on with the save's structure because that always worked. I know, not a priority to understand this interaction, but maybe that's somehow related with the way the game is erroneously writing into the save file and causing random "back to main menu" kicks? No idea. Is it better to test the game with an untwinked toon as to be hit and be interacted by the mobs' abilities more? It probably is. PS: I don't remember the movement speed being so slow, even with a special mount. Is it me or was I accustomed to CM Patch changes pumping it up a notch?
  15. @Flix I don't know if I'll have the time since I haven't been able to play any games since the year started, but in case I do is there any specific testing you need done?
  16. Have you tried another mirror or site? There are quite a few available. It's easier to revert changes with GME, otherwise you'll risk missing a few files here and there and that can disrupt the stability of your instalation.
  17. It's probably better to ask @Flix, because I'm not sure how easy it is to change the portrait without changing something else as well.
  18. If the graphics pak is of a number above 20 it should relate to HD textures, or any form of added custom textures. For a more technical explanation please refer to the maker of the mod.
  19. Happy holidays gang! I've been really busy between work and trying to spend some time with my family these days, but I hope everything is going great with all of you.
  20. Alright, thanks for pitching in. Any word on Char Editor interaction? Do it at my own risk I guess?
  21. Now I just need to find myself some time to play with it, ha ha. Between two (three actually) hellish weeks at work with barely any time off and my first Grim Dawn toon at Ultimate it won't be easy. I'll try though. Any pointers on compatibility and installation order? Like: Sacred 2 Gold clean install -> Trimmed Elite Textures -> enable Purist Pack with GME -> play? I just keep mentioning Elite Textures because I've grown too accustomed to playing the game with HD textures, so that's something I'm not ready to part with. How do you feel the patch will react if I start a new toon and then twink it to be a blank level 75 toon with Character Editor? Never caused any fuss with any other iteration of the game as far as I can remember, and I'd prefer to just start at Platinum and mastery level for a bigger uphill challenge, instead of going Silver->Gold->etc. The idea is to do treat Platinum as Silver/Gold, play the toon well above level 100, and then get up to Niob and do the entire game content in the highest difficulty. I love the early progression into a full blown power char, but nowadays time is so limited that I fear that I won't be able to run through four different difficulty levels in a single toon. Two seems much more feasible, and it provides an added challenge since I'll get a much harder start. But I think it'll provide some interesting challenges, like using General skills more right from the start. Think for instance of looting with a mastered Enhanced Perception from the start. I may have to reactivate my Utility BFG Seraphim concept, with Enhanced Perception, Bargaining and Blacksmith.
  22. Ayeh! And the taste is unreal. They leave each pot there for at least 6 to 7 hours. Those images are from a natural park that you can visit, and that specific area has different holes for each restaurant that is allowed to use those grounds for that kind of cooking. It's a very specific cultural cooking that is only prepared like that in that particular island. Really it's something to try at least once in a lifetime. Do an image search for "caldeira das furnas" and "lagoa das furnas" in São Miguel island in the Azores archipelago. The landscape is incredible!
