  1. I figured that's how GR was supposed to be modded for maximum efficiency. That's why I didn't ask . Anyway I haven't really played Sacred up to the higher levels yet. Got my High Elf to level 42 and my Seraphim to level 36. The Dryad I haven't really used so much because I dislike the running/walking animation. Looks like a dude with huge boobs.
  2. Strange, because my DW Seraphim deals way more damage by just holding down the attack button than using Pelting Strikes. Default damage stat is close to normal damage stat and holding down the attack button will simply drill the enemy with hits way faster than PS is doing. Will Pelting Strikes become faster at higher levels?
  3. I don't use pelting strikes because frankly the damage it deals is almost identical to normal weapon damage and with all the boosts in speed and upgrades eventually normal weapon damage (in terms of dps) overtakes Pelting strikes. It's just far too slow. If I want to deal with mobs I'd rather use Flaring Nova or Radiant Pillar. I think most Seraphim builds are built around the Revered Technology aspect so that shouldn't be a problem for any build. Pelting strikes hits enemies, but for me it only worked in the beginning. I only use it when I feel lazy or just want to see a different animation really. what's your thoughts?
  4. That's exactly what I thought and I've seen this happen as well with my builds. Buff regen penalty goes across the board so to speak and expert touch has no impact on this. Expert Touch only affects the regen times of activated CA's the Activated CA will be available quicker at the cost of regen time of other aspects. So the question remains if Lore outweighs Focus in the long run if regen time isn't an issue for the specific buff/ca. Perhaps this depends also on the type of CA and where it gets its base modifier from. For instance a weapon based CA will increase damage regardless of runes when you get better weapons. In this case a higher percentage will have more impact than adding a few extra base points from the runes. Pelting Strikes would be a good example of this I think.
  5. The Seraphim is very weak until high levels where you get to upgrade warding energy or Divine Protection so it becomes overpowered. The Dryad is overpowered out of the box. To compare, the Armor rating of the Dryad at level 8 was similar to the Armor rating of my level 30 Seraphim. I guess the fire weakness can be a pain, but there's probably ways to work around that. I had never looked at the SW with those buffs before. They look very strong indeed. So what would you mod on Reflective Emanation? Bronze Tough - Adds a chance to reflect stun effects. (20% + 2% per CA level chance) Backlash - Adds a chance to also reflect ranged attacks. (20% + 2% per CA level chance) Silver Unstoppable - Adds a chance to reflect root effects. (20% + 2% per CA level chance) Antimagic - Adds a chance to reflect incoming spells. (20% + 2% per CA level chance) Gold Riposte - Adds a chance to increase to reflected damage. (14% + 1.4% per CA level chance) Idol - Extends the reflective effect to all party members. (50% effectiveness to party members) Easiest would be to go for allround reflect with Backlash, Antimagic and Riposte. But I don't know if in the end stun and root reflect become more useful. So what's your pick?
  6. So you're increasing the power from both reading runes and the Lore skill this way am I correct? Doesn't the regen penalty from buffs affect all CA's from all aspects instead of just the aspect where the buff is part of?
  7. I see, thanks for the information. I guess when having to choose only one it's best to go for lower regen times and let the extra runes increase base damage/stats of the CA. Of course both is better, but that's not always an option in each and every build.
  8. Hm, I'll see if I can try, but it's not on the top priority list. Reinstalling the game takes forever so I'm not really looking forward to that. Thanks for the responses though.
  9. I've played a few characters now and I was blown away by the sheer power of the Dryad in terms of damage output, but most of all survivability. I've thrown a Shadow Warrior, a Seraphim and a High Elf all with multuiple set ups against the goblin boss in the beginning. I forget the name, but he's large and throws rocks at you. All characters were around level 12-14 except for the Dryad which was level 8. Now all characters required some sort of tactic. ie. running around, using healing from either potions or spells, switching to ranged attacks and whatnot, but the Dryad (Dual Wield Melee build with Ancient Bark as a buff) didn't require any tactic. I could just stand in front of the guy without taking too much damage and taking the hurling rock, which dealt around 150-200 damage to my other characters, head on without flinching. Is Ancient Bark so overpowered or is this only the case in the beginning of the game? I noticed the healing from Ancient Bark as well as Grand Invigoration also work during combat (as per the mastery of Constitution). Edit: I also noticed the skill Ancient Bark saying it adds Fire resistance (in the description and the Wiki) but it adds poison resistance instead of fire resistance. Is this normal?
  10. I wanted to give the Dragon Mage a go, but when I select him the character model doesn't show and when I load the game with him it doesn't show him in the game world either. Can't move the character either so there's more wrong than just the visuals missing. Playing with Ice and Blood. Anyone know what's wrong?
  11. Ah well. Looks like PC got duped on this particular effect. Too bad. The wings look kind of bland with just the spiky parts.
  12. I've been browsing builds for a while now and I keep seeing people take a Focus skill before a Lore skill in many (if not all) of them and when choosing only one of them it most often is the Focus skill. What's the reasoning behind this? Does Focus increase the overall power more if you read enough runes. From what I have seen the Lore skills affect all parts that strengthen the skill without the necessity to read runes so I would opt for a Lore skill over a Focus skill. So what am I missing?
  13. Hm, well the Elite pack didn't do anything. In fact I'm having a hard time seeing the difference between the default and high texture setting. Strange...
  14. Thanks for the responses. Regarding the settings. Everything is set to maximum. There is no higher detail possible. I also just installed this game on another PC but without installing Ice and Blood and tested it there, but it's the same. It's not Ice and Blood nor any of the patches. Seems like it's just not available on PC. I still have to test the Elite Pack though. Might be that one.
  15. Thanks! I don't have the extra graphics pack installed, but the normal version of the game is running at max graphics. Is the extra graphics pack needed to display these things? I heard it was kinda buggy and the game already crashes every few hours or so.
