  2. personally, I definitely like level caps and hope that there's a level cap in unbended too .. it gives me a feeling of "yay, I finally did it" when I get to level 216 and "ding" for the last time like in Sacred.. there still is other stuff to do after maxing out a chars level, you can still farm for better end game gear, do achievements, uncover/explore the map, do all quests.. or just hang out on the starting isle and chat with friends..

  5. I would prefer if everyone had it's own individual loot - like in Diablo 3 it would be less stress when teaming up with new players. I like to give away stuff tho - so drops that are NOT account bound is important for me.. sacred lived also from it's item sharing character if it's going to be free for all, I wouldn't mind too much either tho.. it never was a problem in sacred
  6. I'd say neither YAY nor NAY .. I like both Sacred 1 and Diablo 3 , although I spent far more time with Sacred, had about 18 or 19 characters @ level 216 in underworld.. (not counting those I deleted) If a game has instant respec/reskill like Diablo 3 it needs proper end-game content for max level chars, which it has (sort of) that's perhaps why both systems can work. Even a mix is possible: Mythos for instance had respec, but only for low to mid level chars, and each respec got more expensive each time. Grim Dawn has limited respec too, you can respec single skills, but not all stats, and it gets more expensive each time too for unbended, I would have to know what the skill & combat art system is going to be like.. If it is like in Sacred, there will be no real skill tree wich means you can read a few runes and try out all spells anyway, then concentrate on something you like, plus exporting you char to open/SP like Knuckles mentioned.. personally, in Sacred I didn't miss respec cause you could even make use of broken chars as a mule, or a trader, etc.. rerolling a new char was fun, and didnt take too long either. so, in unbended I won't miss respec either I guess, if the rest of the game is built around it in a way to compensate for that missing feature. there's pro's and con's, somehow I'm glad the devs are going to decide and not me, because I like both options
  7. wish I could afford and buy myself a living NPC, sitting on a tight budget here.. so, poor old Rotluchs is rotting six feet under now, gravestone is cool too, that will have to do I'm about as excited about unbended as I was back when the ex-devs of Mythos announced they formed a new studio called runic games and would do another ARPG called Torchlight.. which means I can't even sit still right now, like drugged with too much coffee I'm a bit sceptic though, if they plan unbended as big and detailed as they did for Sacred, what that would money-wise, with no publisher whatsoever, how much cash do they need to collect via crowd funding to be successful? of course I don't know exactly why, but Ascaron went bankrupt/insolvent because of Sacred, didn't it?
  8. because I got old and lazy over the years D3 also seemed too 'rubber band-ish' to me when I started it, meaning I would have hated it loosing my chars because of lag spikes or other quirky D3 behaviour. also, except for Spunky and Barristan, on the EU servers most people started with SC and then stuck with it.. IF however, the majority of the US darkmatters community plays HC, heck - then I'm willing to try and do so aswell too
  9. Well, once again, in Diablo we have the same dilemma as in Sacred Classic - split ingame communities for EU & US players. I couldn't be bothered to start on US servers all over from scratch until now, but am willing to finally do so now It is super boring alone however, and with the new patch, the +50 % experience buff till release of the addon, maybe a few other players could be bothered to start a new char aswell? anyway, so you may want to add poor old Bobcat#2602 , currently still on EU SC servers, but maybe US SC as well soon.

  11. patch 2.0.1 has been released on public test realm (PTR) , and Reaper of Souls closed beta has started... one of the intersting features besides loot 2.0 is going to be clan & communities support directly ingame.. so I'm just wondering will there be a darkmatters community / clan aswell ? I really wish the update / addon could bring more people back together in one game, both from darkmatters and clan-DA ..   13. just dropping in to say hi, and wondering if anyone is still playing D3 here on EU SC servers these days .. I recently picked D3 up again, even managed to infect my gf with the hack&slash fever, now we're trying to get her a shiny hellfire ring at inferno mp5+ , and maybe I'll even hit at least paragon level 50 some day before the expansion comes out how're you all doing btw, I hope youre fine and all well up, wish u the best, Bob
  14. thx for the link collection, Bro what I've read so far kinda crushes all hope I had left for a 'real' Sacred or at least a 'pure' A-H&S RPG R.I.P Sacred ... edit: read the one over @ gamestar.de : seems like the regressions from S>Sacred 2 will continue from Sacred 2>S3 , just even more drastical.. or, they try to clone or 'beat' D3, which can't be good.. (since D3 was a step into the wrong direction too, imho.. not a bad game, but not a really good one either) have fun with it you guys..
  15. ..that's why it will get even more problematic on May 30, which is when I heard they were about to start the RMAH.. also, maybe they're going to try and sell those stolen items.. has each item a unique ID? if so it might be hard, if not, maybe they could get away with it, if the can't backtrace who hacked & stole the stuff (if anyone did, because it's still not sure how items/chars were lost)

  17. it might help. there is reports / rumours, that hackers (if there were any) might have been hijacking 'running/active' sessions by trying to take over your current connection. maybe DDos / SQL injection.. just saw this, and posted it over on clan DA as well:

  21. well, I still am playing it still love it, although currently I moved from Mythos Global to Mythos Russia. Mythos Russia already has the Zone 4 update, a higher level cap, and it's cash shop is much cheaper. It's an unlucky love however, it seems me and very few others have the servers all for us alone.. but we would like to share it it's a kind of dilemma/paradoxon.. but I will try to sum up why Mythos is currently still the only - and one of the best- game I'm playing (kind of) frequently. BAD STUFF: new Mythos received a lot of bad press because people were comparing it to the old version, and concentrating on the negative aspects of these changes the new publisher also piffed off a lot of players, because they often announce something, then postpone it, or change it.. the support could also be better there is not much publicity about Mythos, never was, since it's relaunch.. so it's not catching enough attention to attract more players. everyone talks about D3, or other games Mythos is partially bugged, and some parts are still badly balanced.. there were only a few patch updates since it's relaunch, and the new dev/publisher doesn't communicate to/with the players very much. inconvenient/circuitous browser-based launcher (game itself is installed to & runs from local HD though) where are all the players? cash shop prices ridiculously high (I hope they adjust it soon) GOOD STUFF: even the new Mythos can still be a lot of Fun, if you give it a chance: doesn't take long to get used to gameplay mechanics & still adequate and fast progression of char development free skill resets up to clvl 40 daily quests granting a 2hr 50% experience bonus for every 3rd daily quest you complete with all the various experience buffs, its possible to dungeon grind for levels again, if you prefer that over quest-grinding (used to be the more common way before) [*]especially the end game content can be quite challenging > very tough and dangerous maps & bosses [*]special end game gear to go for, needs time to find&farm (not everybody has it) [*]it has some nice MP specific online features, that were missing in most of the other H&S ARPgs of the past: dungeon master: rewarding players who clear a dungeon the fastest, with +luck buff for the time you're leading, and +cash if you're fastest at the end of each week quick duel: fight against another player directly where you encounter him, if you send him a request battle 'arena': special group-based PvP mode, takes place in the area called 'Ice Horn plateau'.. unlocks special boss fight & chance for extra item reward crystal defense: in each wave, protect the base in your group, against incoming hordes of monsters > grants several buffs for players as a reward guild system: grants global buffs for each guild based on certain rules (guild level, member count, time of guild creation, online times accumulated as a guild..) friend&mail system: see who's online right now and where, what level/class.. send mail to buddies, attach items to mail or link in chat.. [*]Mythos is free to play, so go ahead, try it out and forge your own, unaffected opinion in end, Mythos is still the second-best H&S ARPG for me, after Sacred1 ofc, and followed by Sacred 2 and (presumably) D3.. enjoyed Sacred1 closed HC MP, and had good times over there, next best thing to it - in retrospective - is Mythos.. (based after trying out games like Torchlight, Titan Quest, Path of Exile beta, D3 beta, etc etc..)

  23. that's exactly what I thought.. I'm also playing PoE recently every now and then but it's just not... well.. donno. It's cool to see that PoE has such a great developer who talks a lot to the comm, and that the comm can be such a great part of game development, so to speak. their way of running things reminds me a lot about how flagship studios was doing their original mythos beta. but anyway, even this just isn't making PoE a better game, at least for me it isnt.. although it's very promising, and I'm curious what it will become and definitely gonna stick around. If I had the choice : I would prefer a 2nd addon to Sacred UW closed HC. not gonna happen. so, at least standard Sacred UW closed HC would be nice, also never gonna happen. original Mythos also won't happen, so what's left for me right now is, PoE and the altered Mythos Global/EU version. I would prefer Mythos.

It hurt's to see what happened to this game in the past. the once so promising D2 'successor' failed it's first attempt to go live or finish beta, back in 2007 and 2008, when Flagship Studios went bankrupt and had to close doors, after the Hellgate-Fiasco . So, the developers and creators of the Games Diablo and Fate, lost their newest baby they which was about to hatch at that time, back then.. The Koran publisher/dev HanbitON/T3Entertainment bought all the Mythos rights and IP.. ..and promised an US/global to be launched 'soon' .. that was back in about 2009, and it never happened. Instead, they released it on the Korean market only, before Frogster signed contracts and published Mythos EU in spring 2011.. the first relaunch of Mythos on the western market was a big desaster, I believe both for old fans, new players and the involved companies.. Hanbit changed almost every aspect of the game, and tried to force Mythos to become a cheap standard 0815 asia grinder MMO with nice H&S ARPG gameplay elements, rather than sticking to the originial idea of a pure awesome H&S ARPG online game, with some very useful mmo features. They kept the game's name, it's graphic's style/engine, and at least the essential combat/item system.. but they altered the entire rules too much, implemented too many new bugs, fixed too less old bugs and implemented not enough new useful stuff right in time. Mythos Europe failed entirely, and had to close it's server - doors just a few months after it's revival over here. the service was shut down end of october, 27/28th 2011... and suddenly, out of nowhere, T3Fun announced the relaunch of the game just once more, after it had died, before it really started to live.. : they call it 'MYTHOS GLOBAL' this time, and according to their info, a short CBT will start on Dec 1st and end on Dec 5th 2011. I'm gonna check it out for sure.
