  1. Perhaps I should be researching this myself but... Is this actually a confirmed bug? I mean... I can accept that this may be a problem for many and I am just unaware of it but there are a google+1 other reasons, which are not bugs, that this might be occuring.
  2. If you are trying to choose between a horse or your unique mount, I would definitly stick with the unique mount, as there are many ways to reduce CA regen time dramatically. Now as for unique mount vs unmounted, I would strongly recommend unmounted if you have a bargainer or can just get high +run speed rings. If you cap out your run speed to 50%, which is ez to do with the right Leg armor set-piece and ring(s) than you will be running faster than if you were mounted on your unique mount (barring riding skill I would assume.) Unless you benefit strongly from a CA that is better (ie bigger radius or faster execution) while mounted then I would advise unmounted
  3. I am unsure why this is but can tell you pretty confidently that it is nothing you need worry about. To Clarify for anyone reading Tango's questions - I believe he is speaking of the sparkling slots, which are visible while in inventory but to the right of inventory window, which indicate whether a certain piece of armor/jewelry is equipped or if none is equipped.
  4. A couple of quick recommendations as I do not have much time atm. 1. If you do not already have 'evade +%' on items, I would recommend trying for about +75% for now just on items, to supplement your combat reflexes. 2. Make sure you have a couple items with life leech or just one with a high #. 3. If you are truly having the trouble you describe, it would probably greatly help to have Constitution Skill at 75 hardpoints when your character hits level 75 so that you can receive the health regen bonus while in combat. 4. If you can get ahold of the 'Twilight of the Gods' set chestpiece(Holy Protection) at just above your level, it has a great deal more armor (of all types) than other set chestpieces or two star items of same level. The amount of armor it will add when modified by your Armor Lore's armor+% will likely be considerable. I will try to add more later, 1&2 can make a huge difference if you do not already have them. Hope this helps.
  5. At lower character levels I noticed a reasonable difference of item quality and dispersion of 0/1/2 star items with bargaining 2 or 3 times my characters level. At character level 160 with bargaining hardpoints at character level and bargaining at either 927(bargaining suit) or 312(combat/experience suit) the difference in both item quality and dispersion of 0/1/2 stars, often seems negligible. I have probably found more double modifier deathblow/double mod all skills/all skills+experience items while in between fights with combat/experience suit equipped than with bargaining suit equipped. That though, I would attribute just to chance and not them being more common with combat/experience suit.
  6. Mastergd, if you are unsure of where to read the books, as I know I was at first, hopefully steps I describe below can get ya there. I describe from XBOX 360 but im guessing PS3 is not much different. 1. Go to inventory window and hit right or left on the left thumbstick to get to miscellaneous category. If you have an un-used book, it will be listed there. Lets assume you have one. 2. Scroll down to the book and hit the 'A' button to "use" it. Book will then disappear. 3. Go to quests window. 4. Hit the right trigger. 5. There are a few categories of books so move left thumbstick to the right or left to move through them. 6. When you see the books title that you just read, select it and hit 'A' If I am recalling this process correctly from memory then a window should pop-up with a few paragraphs you can read through. I have only read the dual-wielding and sword weapons books but am looking forward to the "How to beguile Princesses" book.
  7. I have noticed that often with various types of weapons, before being equipped, they will show the incorrect attack speed. I use polearms with my most recent character so I will use them as an example but have seen what I describe with other weapon skills. Sometimes before I equip a polearm that is above my character level, it will show a -X% for attack speed on the description. After equipping said polearm, the description will correctly show -0.0%. Sometimes ranged weapons (which I do not have the skill for) above my character level will show -0.0% attack speed penalty before equipping and a correct -X% penalty when equipped. If it is showing an incorrect penalty in the weapon description while equipped, which I have never seen, then I would suggest going to character overview and paging to the right once (xbox 360) to see what it shows there. If the number it shows in Overview is below 100% for attack speed then you are definitly being penalized by something. The number will reflect debuffs as well so make sure you are clean I would take all attack speed gear off and see what your sword weapons attack speed bonus in skills window is. Add that to 100%, make sure weapon is equipped, and compare with attack speed % in Overview to see if you are getting penalized. If the numbers you add up = Overview % then you are probably not being penalized, functionally speaking, regardless of what the weapon description says.
  8. Hey, GunKata. Perhaps if you could post your base skill levels (without +skill items) and combart art levels, along with a brief description of which combat art's you use most often, someone here might be able to help. For some builds, quality armor can be essential and for other builds it can sometimes be neglected without much ill-effect, so we need some info. I believe 3 star armor is primarily set armor so maybe you are talking about weapons/rings/amulets? Also, you mention having runes to boost Perception, I am assuming you mean 'relics' to boost 'enhanced perception'?
  9. Maybe try here... Sacred 2 XBOX/PS3 Trade Zone
  10. Great info! I'll add your research to the wiki asap but you can add it yourself to get your name on the contributor list of the wiki with it's history. Sent you a pm ^^. I''m curious about your mentionning of the blood dryads swords having deatblow though as I thought I had added all the blow uniques to the wiki ^^: Here's the link to the wiki page on the sword: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacre...he_Blood_Dryads Do you have one that has dblow on it? If you do, would you be able to post a pic? And if the pix are different, wow...this is a big find Are you on console or pc? gogo None of those weapons has DB on it pre-socketed. I think he means that he put a ring in the gold slot of a Blood Dryads Sword when he writes - (Gold Slot Ring)
  11. Basically, your characters 'survival bonus' gives you a stat increase and when you die your 'survival bonus' resets to 0% which = no stat bonus. Yes, it will go back up. See Below =D From Sacred WiKi For Pictures Mentioned in following text, refer to this link Sacred2Wiki Survival Bonus Page Survival Bonus is quite likely the most complex factor to do with any of the 6 character classes. Every character begins and ends with a varying percent of Survival Bonus which can be seen from the Character Information Screen by pushing the "F" Key and then hovering your cursor over the word "Character Class" at the top left. A box containing a list of information will pop up and around the middle of that list the total percent of Survival Bonus is shown. A character that has just begun (level 1) and has yet to engage in battle will have 0% Survival Bonus. When a character engages an opponent for the first time the character's Survival Bonus will increase immediately. Survival Bonus can only increase when in battle and it does so slowly. As an example, some players have attained approximately 80% Survival Bonus at around character level 60-70. Although Survival Bonus appears to increase quickly at first, its rate of increase will become slower as it increases. The time it would take for Survival Bonus to increase from 90-100% would be much much greater than the time taken to reach 0-90%. Survival Bonus is applied to the character in many ways but most notably it increases attributes and the Chance to Find Valuables. An example image can be seen to the right that demonstrates how Survival Bonus can change Attributes. The example animation image is of a level 1 Temple Guardian with 0.1% Survival Bonus versus a 71.7% Survival Bonus. However small the results may seem, it is actually quite significant. The same test on a much higher level character would give much greater results. The mechanism of how Survival Bonus modifies Attributes is important: it actually modifies the base stats of a character. The item modifiers and skills that are percent based also work off of a character's base stats. Essentially, 20% of nothing is nothing. 20% of 5 is 1. 20% of 50 is 10. This means that higher Survival Bonus = better base stats = better results from many modifiers. Even without modifiers, a character will still see some great changes such as improved damage from weapons and spells, more health, faster health regeneration, more attack, defense, spell intensity and resistance, lower Buff penalties and faster Combat Art regeneration. An example image to the left demonstrates these benefits. The more that is understood about Survival Bonus, the more can be seen as to just how important Survival Bonus. It isn't an optional component to a character. It is a necessary factor which can make AND break a build when pushed to the limit. 1/3rd or 33.3333% of a character's total Survival Bonus is applied to a character's attributes. If a character has 60% Survival Bonus then that character will receive a 20% bonus to its attributes. Survival Bonus can go as high as 100%, so the bonus to attributes can only be as high as 33.3333%.
  12. Nice work =) Interesting to see what it took to get to about 80%
  13. A guy I was playing with in free world earlier today was talking to me about how his TG level 106 (I think it was) gained the ability to socket things away from blacksmith npc at 75 hardpoints. He was not on his TG so I couldn't test him but it just came up in casual conversation and he seemed to be under the impression that it was intended to be that way so it sounded quite convincing. Obviously there could have been a miscommunication between us or something... but it is something to think about. Anyone have 75 hardpoints in BS on XboX and it does/does not work for them?
  14. You can buy any of those dmg converters from blacksmith npc's misc menu, might need to try a couple different blacksmiths to find the right one though.
  15. Oh that must make boss runs soooooooooooo much easier than on pc Some bosses maybe... but you can rejoice that you need not fight those 3(or 4?) battles against the Swirling Mist of Miasma in light side campaign with 1-2 fps throughout just to get through the swamps. At least I am assuming you do not. It really drags somethin fierce. A couple of times my xbox just gave me a still image for about 10-15 seconds (no joke) and I could hear the fighting and only see my character moving on the mini-map. Not to mention getting fubarred a couple times with quest triggers because of teleporting from within caves to town when I first started playing
