  1. Very generous offer and I am sure they will be gratefully appreciated by others. I would have been interested myself if they weren't Steam codes. Down with DRM. GOG rules!
  2. Hmm looks interesting but not the sort to appeal to me I don't think. This game has got me hooked at the moment. https://www.gog.com/game/stardew_valley
  3. Yes Dell Latitudes are good machines. You just need to make sure what the integrated graphics are capable of. I have 2 Dells, the one I just told you about and an older Latitude D610, http://www.notebookreview.com/notebookreview/dell-latitude-d610-review-pics-specs/ running on WinXP. Love that machine even if it does weigh a ton. Plays a lot of older games better than far newer machines and I prefer playing Sacred Underworld on that one.
  4. 2012 I think, I picked it up reconditioned recently for less than $200usd from an "eBay Shop" that specializes in reconditioning ex business models. These are the reviews that I checked out first for the model I bought;https://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Latitude-E6430-Notebook.81780.0.html https://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/dell-latitude-e6430 Obviously you won't get alienware type graphics, but they are certainly good enough for all but the most "discerning" gamers I think.
  5. I am playing on a Dell laptop, 2.6Ghz, 4Gb Ram, Intel 4300 integrated graphics. Playing; Hellgate London, Oblivion, Sacred and Sacred 2, Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2, Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, Darkest Dungeon, Star Wars Republic Commando, Pillars of Eternity, All the new Shadowrun games, Sunless Sea, Torchlight 2, X3 Terran Conflict and loads more. All performing at very acceptable levels
  6. Just think of all those poor abandoned mouses! Shame on you, you cruel abandoner of helpless animals!
  7. This sound fascinating What kind of game is this...like a d and d chess game or something? gogo Available on GOG https://www.gog.com/game/desktop_dungeons Sort of like Fantasy General or Panzer General, but far more varied while each map is short enough to play in a coffee break.
  8. Too intricate for me, I would prefer bearbarian style leathers and a wolf skin cloak with head attached.
  9. Currently playing "Desktop Dungeons" and tearing what's left of my hair out while trying to solve some of the strategy puzzles. I can't leave them unsolved. I'm a completionist and knowing they aren't finished is like an unscratchable itch!
  10. Not in the slightest. One is about a schoolboy's formative years at a boarding school for wizards and witches. The other is about colonizing a new planet and adapting the indigenous wildlife to help you survive. I will be really interested to see how the two are meshed together!
  11. Urban Dictionary: Kibitzing However the common meaning of kibitzing is a person who is being extremely lazy and generally not doing what they should be. kibitzing can sometimes be ... Really Spock ? If however you are looking for avid readers who would be interested in commenting on your work .......
  12. My wife read the first book and said considering how badly written it was she thought the author must have an emotional age of about eight. So I am pleased to say I will not have to suffer it in print or on film. Yahoo!!!!
  13. I'm glad to hear everything turned out alright (within reason) Knuckles, it could have been so much worse. My wife tripped over a broken sidewalk 3 weeks ago and banged her knee quite badly and has been off work 3 weeks and the doctor says she will be off at least another 4 weeks for it to heal properly. It's amazing considering the state of the car that your daughter recovered enough to return to school within a week!
  14. Check the wording on the Mount's tool tip. Shadow Warrior's Malevolent Champion Hellhound says "Regen all combat arts +300%", but it also says "Regen all Malevolent Champion combat arts -300%". Does something similar apply in your case?
  15. Flix, thanks for this wicked Christmas Card Celebratory post... Happy Christmas mate...where will you be off to? I just got in from the states, a whirlwind five days...I just have to close me eyes for a few hours, but ill be back and spam this thread with videos gogo No Gogo please! Have mercy on us, after all it is Christmas!
  16. Merry Christmas and may you all have Santa bring you whatever your heart desires (within reason).
  17. I use a Sony e-Reader myself instead of real books these days. I prefer proper books, but my hands are no longer up to holding them for long these days. It currently contains about 480 books I have been collecting and it feels great having an entire library wherever I go.
  18. Thanks for your help Flix. I have been dying to try the Diablo mod for ages but never got it working. Following your post here I have at last managed it. Time to release my inner Bearbarian!
  19. Didnt occur to me that this game is still running! How often are you guys playing? Is it Free to play or do you have to buy an initial install? gogo It is still running though has reduced from 30 servers to 5 US and 5 EU servers. It is F2P but you do really need to buy certain conveniences and expansions. You can however buy them from the ingame store with TP (Turbine Points) earned in game by completing deeds etc. It's free to download and the first 4 regions are free. Why not give it a try?
  20. Dang, we missed you bondbug...and still sportin that sharp Genuine-Made-By-Schot-Avatar as winsomely as ever! How is wine and country life being to you friend? gogo The whine is the same as always lol, as we engage in a mutual whining session every day in LotRO.
  21. Mine is a a quad core 2.13Ghz and I have no issues still. I think it is more down to individual machines and how they are set up than with game issues. I did notice an improvement in performance when I changed from Avast to AVG, so maybe what is running in the background is a problem?
  22. Strange, all my machines have been Intel integrated graphics and never had a problem with the game and I run it in Win7 mode not compatibility mode.
  23. I'm running Win95 games on my Win7 64bit laptop with no problems and only ever had one problem with Sacred 2 but that was with the Securom DRM not the game itself.
