  1. HC stands for Hardcore. Hardcore is a PC-only variant of the game, where if your character dies, it stays dead forever.
  2. Hi Dobri, I had to create an account to thank you for your guides. When I picked up this game I had no idea what I was doing. I had never played Sacred... I had never even played Diablo! Yet, now, I feel confident enough going forward with your High Elf build. Your guides are well written and extremely informative, and you answer the questions put towards you. You are a credit to the Sacred community! Now I need to stick around here and figure out how I can be useful
  3. 1. What color pants are you wearing? Blue jeans. 2. What are you listening to right now? Grand Funk Railroad's Greatest Hits. 3. What was the last thing you ate? Fish and chips. 4. Do you wish on stars? No. 5. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Probably white, because it's never used. My tip would stay sharper longer. 6. What is the weather right now? Dark and cool. 7. Favorite drink? Pale ale. 8. Favorite sport? Hockey. 9. Hair color? Dark brown. 10. Do you wear contacts? No. 11. Siblings? Yes, one sister. 12. Favorite month? September. 13. Favorite food? Subway 12" Cold Cut Combo on Italian Herb and Cheese bread, white cheese, untoasted, topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, jalapenos, mustard, mayonnaise and salt and pepper. You asked 14. What was the last movie you saw at the theater? Star Trek. I had mixed feelings about it. 15. Favorite day of the year? Probably September 12. I enjoy my birthday. 16. How do you vent your anger? I rarely get angry, but when I do, I punch it out on a heavy bag until I'm tired and fall asleep. 17. What was your favorite toy as a child? From 6-16 I spent almost my entire spare time on a computer. 18. Summer or winter? Winter. In the winter, you can add layers of clothing to stay warm. In the summer, there's only so much you can remove. 19. Hugs or kisses? I prefer Hershey's Hugs to Hershey's Kisses. As for the human to human version, why not both? 20. Chocolate or vanilla? Plain old boring vanilla. 21. When was the last time you cried? When Luc Bourdon, a defenseman for my hometown's professional hockey team, died in a motorcycle accident. 22. What is under your bed? A Guitar Hero III wireless controller for the XBOX 360... a stray sock... and there might be a penny or two under there. 23. What did you do last night? I worked, came home, and played Sacred 2. 24. What are you afraid of? The red ring of death. 25. Plain, buttered or salted popcorn? Buttered popcorn. 26. Favorite car? I like my beat up Honda Civic. I got it cheap and it hasn't failed me yet. 27. Favorite flower? I have no personal opinion on flowers. 28. Number of keys on your key ring? My personal keyring has 6 keys on it. My work keyring has 8 keys on it. 29. How many years at your current job? One. 30. Favorite day of the week? Sunday. 31. What did you do on your last birthday? I had a lot to drink. In Canada, you're legal at 19 32. How many states have you lived in? One. 33. How many cities/towns have you lived in? Three. 34. What is your favourite scent? Baking bread is fairly decent. 35. Not much, really. 39. Any regrets? Not really, no. 40. Sunshine or a Rainy day? A rainy day. I have nothing against the sunshine, just the heat it brings. 41. Are you in love? Not at the moment.
  4. Name 3 words that other people use to describe you? Easy going, laid back, mellow. It takes a lot to throw me off my game. What is something that gets on your nerves? If anything, starting a brand new game for the first time. I tend to restart about 20 different times before I get going properly. What makes you cry? The last time I cried was when I found out that Luc Bourdon, a player for my city's professional hockey team, had died in a motorcycle accident. What is your first memory? Falling out of bed and screaming for half an hour until my parents woke up, even though I wasn't injured at all. What level of education have you completed? High school. Do you have any siblings? Yes, one sister. Favourite milkshake flavour? Plain old boring vanilla. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I used to play an old PC game called Island of Dr. Brain. There was a genetics puzzle in the game, and it made me want to be a genetic engineer badly (some aspiration for an 8 year old!) Can you speak a foreign language? Sadly, no. If you could build a house anywhere, where would it be? Ancaria? Too many kobolds. I would build a house in a prime real estate location and charge rent for it. I don't personally require fancy living arrangements. What is your favourite article of clothing? The T-shirt I bought at the Iron Maiden concert in Vancouver in 2007. It shows Eddie the Head dressed in a Team Canada hockey jersey, sweater number 666, getting ready to shoot a flaming puck. What was the last CD you bought? Snakes and Arrows by Rush. I own every single one of their albums and official DVDs. Do you believe in an afterlife? No. If you could have one superpower what would it be? Invisibility. Skulking around could have it's advantages. Do you have any tattoos or peircings? I've had my left ear pierced since I was 10. I've had my right ear pierced since I was 14. I've had my left eyebrow pierced since I was 16. I currently have no other body modification plans. Do you have a personal motto? Carpe Diem!
  5. I live in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, in a two bedroom apartment. Surrey is a suburb of Vancouver, which is a far more interesting place. We're hosting the Olympics in 2010, we make good sushi, and our hockey team has never won a championship.
  6. Good morning, Dark Matters community! I'm John. I purchased Sacred 2 for the XBOX 360, never having heard of the original game, after completing my last RPG project (Lost Odyssey). I had never played an action RPG before, not even Diablo II (Don't ask), as I spent far too much of my teenage life playing Everquest and then Dark Age of Camelot. I am currently completely hooked on Sacred 2 and will surely save hundreds of dollars on new games over the next several months. I found this website through a Google search for build guides, as the complex dynamics of this game were overwhelming. The builds are excellent, especially Dobri's (I'm going to have to thank him personally) and they are helping me get through the silver campaign. Soon, Gold, hopefully! As for the personal stuff, I'm 20, an assistant manager at a busy retail location, like mushrooms on my pizza, a beer or two after work, and I anxiously await the start of the hockey season. I look forward to meeting you all, continuing to absorb your expertise, and (hopefully) contributing in some way!
