Possible to change a Combat Arts animation?

Does anyone know if it's possible to change a Combat Arts animation? For exmaple, Archimedes Beam has a duration of 3 seconds (per Spells.txt), but what determins the duration of the CA in this case is the animation, which is fixed at 3 seconds. So even if you reduce the duration in Spells.txt, your TG will stand around with his arm out for the full 3 seconds.

Yes, animations can be replaced. Each spell instance in spells.txt has a series of "AnimType" strings. Those are responsible for animation used to cast the spell (while on foot(AnimType), from atop a special mount(AnimTypeSpecial), from atop a mount(AnimTypeRide)). Appropriate animation timing parameters can be found in animation.txt.

That's what I wanted to know, thanks. I don't suppose someone could upload a copy of that file so I can have a poke over lunch (I'm at work).

Perfect, thanks for that, it seems I was looking for the CA name when I should have been looking for it's animation type ("ANIM_TYPE_SM09" for Archimedes Beam). :)
