Vicolas 0 Share Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) Hi, I'm fairly new to Sacred 2, played it on the Xbox and wanted the expansion and to play it over Lan with my boyfriend and not to have to sit 2 inches away from the screen cos the camera won't zoom in on multiplaer, also the cat knocked the xbox over while we were playing it and the disc has been anhialated =P Bought it on Amazon, the game with the seperate expansion and I was sent the American version of Sacred 2 and the UK version of Ice and Blood. We got them working with help from the Internet, using the trick to make it think it's the UK version, was pretty annoyed than they weren't compatible. It worked fine, I didn't start a character until last night and I got into it ok, but I have an Alienware and the lights on it started changing as it can be changed due to 3rd party access, I'm guessing they put it in there cos I don't think it can change any other way. So I closed the game and tried to get that working again since it totally died on me and couldn't change it back. Got it working again this morning (the lights) but now when I go to open Sacred 2, I get only a very quick glimpse of a black screen and then nothing, no error messages, nothing comes up in task manager that it's running in the background, it seems like it just opens and then closes. I've seen a few others on the forums with Alienware laptops with problems as well, I have an M17X top of the range specc, Windows 7. I'm really confused as to what the problem is since it worked fine last night. Any suggestions would be great, but since the game took about 3 hours to install and then the pain of getting the two copies compatible, I think I would give up if the only solution was to reinstall. Edit: Ok, I've looked a little more about the Sacred 2 and them integrating changing lights on the keyboards and things and it seems to be buggy as hell, annoying and unreliabe, it seems they've worked harder on making lights flash than making th game compatible and work properly.
