Zeno 2
I've developed a small tool in order to help me manipulating images for wiki pages. The original idea was making a very specific tool to make very specific things, thus shortening sightly the amount of time required to edit these images compared to using a more powerful tool. As some of you are showing some interest on it, I've created this post for SWIE: SacredWiki Image Editor. This is the status right now: Current version: 0.3 beta - be careful, it's buggy yet (it won't delete any of your files though ) Current features: Load single/multiple TGA images Drag & Drop single/multiple TGA images Set cropping mask for predefined sizes Customize cropping mask Resizing masks proportionally New & cool GUI (only if you saw the first one... )Dragging enabled to move/resize Created new left tool bar (with bigger icons) Allows mouse wheel scrolling for moving image while zoomed Six fixed zoom levels (Ctrl+1 ... Ctrl+6) [*]Saving JPEG format [*]Predefined & customizable JPEG quality [*]File name composition (3 words, I use quest_npc_imgtype.jpg) [*]Cross/Circle marks over the image (useful for maps) Find attached the latest version, and there's also a screenshot right here: Please, feel free to post your thoughts, comments and suggestions. Also the bugs you may found. I hope you find it useful. Happy wiking [Edit 17-OCT-2011] New version 0.35 beta Added/fixed stuff: Improved save dialog (warns overwriting, bad filenames...) Fixed mouse pointers in several situations Allows loading BMP and JPEG files Added text for icons File name auto-composing dialog New status bar with some info Cross & circle click makes appear/disappear SWIE.zip Edited October 17, 2011 by Zeno Link to comment
Slayer89 0
Well I'm back after a long while, decided to test your cool new program and already found a repeatable bug. - Using "Set Size" without actually selecting a size gives an unhandled exception error. Will continue looking for more Link to comment
Zeno 2
- Using "Set Size" without actually selecting a size gives an unhandled exception error. Fixed, thank you! Link to comment
Slayer89 0
Some bugs - Illegal characters such as (!@#$%^&*) in any part of the file name throws an exception error - If you use the double increase arrow in custom size to expand the cropping mask beyond the image then hit "Set Size" with any size selected, the cropping mask disappears. Schot 406
Genius work Zeno! I tried your earlier version and will give this one a go tomorrow. Looks fantastic from what I can see in your screenshots. Great idea with the predefined tools icons! Maybe put words under the pics to help users understand like; Tab map, logbook, portrait, main map. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,039
This is genius! Stickied! Zeno, do you think this tool should be added to the wiki quest maker template? gogo Link to comment
Zeno 2
This is genius! Stickied! Zeno, do you think this tool should be added to the wiki quest maker template? Uhm, not sure about that... we might add some links to helpful threads of the forum, maybe in a "more info at:" section of the template. Any other ideas? Btw, this tool is optimized and thought to use with 1280x1024 images. I should review that as well as other detected issues with mask management. I'll probably have a new version this week with some bugs fixed Link to comment
Zeno 2
Updated to 0.35beta, see top post. Basically fixed most trivial bugs and added some extra functionality. Link to comment
