Siril 1 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Hi, I have a quick question Becasue of some terrible disarray I modded my viperish disease: gangrene-transmission-contaminate instead of relapse-transmission-contaminate.My question is: Is this going to decrease the effectiveness of vd? Because I've read about it being very effective with relapse chosen as first modification. Thanks for your help. 1 Link to comment
Flix 5,191 Popular Post Share Posted May 4, 2014 Gangrene is good too. Do you have the CM Patch installed? It nerfs Viperish Disease. Without the CM Patch it will be pretty effective no matter what how you mod it. There's a link to a save editor in my signature. You can use it to switch the modifications you took, if you want. 2 Link to comment
Siril 1 Author Share Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) Thanks for your help. I don't have the CM patch ( I don't even have the Ice and Blood expansion ) and that's why I was curious about VD efectiveness. So far I have CA level 10 and the disease is not spreading "well". Edited May 4, 2014 by Siril Link to comment
Siril 1 Author Share Posted May 14, 2014 I don't want to start a new topic so I'll just ask here. In case of "Blast" gold modification for ravaged impact will the explosion deal additional damage to a single opponent as well ( the damage from initial shot + explosion )? Link to comment
Flix 5,191 Share Posted May 16, 2014 That's a good question actually, unfortunately I don't know the answer. Just looking through the scripts I can't tell but some testing would probably reveal the answer. It would interesting to know, not just for Viperish Disease, but for the Item Modifier "Chance to Hit Additional Opponents" and other Combat Arts that can be given this ability. The spell token for the Blast mod is "et_chance_areasplash". There is a also another token called "et_damage_areasplash" (100% chance) used by several CA's, like Demonic Blow. Link to comment

Siril 1 Author Share Posted May 21, 2014 Thanks.About ravaged impact: I've made some tests and the "blast" modification does not affect single targets. I guess the topic can be closed. Link to comment
xcessive 55 Share Posted May 22, 2014 Just as I expected. The CA is transformed into an Area of Effect spell. So it either hits a single target, or is executed as Area of Effect spell and hits everything in range. But never both at the same time. Link to comment
claudius 104 Share Posted June 16, 2014 It doesn't do aything to a single target. It is just splash damage to adjacent monsters like the explode mod on Archangels Wrath. Link to comment
ameaeth 54 Share Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) Short question on VD mechanics. How does the infektion of other mobs work? Do they have to run/bump into each other? Edited September 30, 2014 by ameaeth Link to comment
