Another weird behaviour I noticed is that Warding Energy Lore is affected by the "Combat Art Skills +X" modifier. I don't know if this was intended since I found nothing about it both on wiki and EE Manual.

Hello. "Combat Art Skills +X" is bugged in such a way that I can't fix it.  It applies to the wrong set of skills unfortunately.

By the way, did you increase the danger level of some bosses.

For example, I am having HUGE amount of trouble dealing with the elementals at the orc camp in the main quest.

Most importantly of all, before getting there, I fought the Golem ... sorry .... I meant .... golemS !! capital S.
The "little" bugger come with a twin free of charge.

Imagine my surprise when I saw TWO of them :p

I am not complaining mind you, in fact, it's welcome change to be chanllenged so early in the game. Still I  will be checking the changelog more often or in more details rather.

The other thing that I saw was toning down on +Specific skill from 5x to 3x when compared to + all skills items (which I have trouble to find barring using the negotation skill).

Side effect of having "Free for All" optional installed. Specifically, making the bosses respawn each game session caused that somehow.  I maybe wouldn't install it unless you specifically want that feature, or are wanting to farm SP quests in MP.

Yes, absolutely.  Especially if Challenge Mode is enabled.  The mutated Elementals were always very dangerous however, so I did not do much to them.  I can remember dying to them in vanilla.

Here is the breakdown -

Vanilla you would see:

  • All Skills + 6
  • Skill Group + 6
  • Single Skill + 10

Now in EE the same 3 items would have:

  • All Skills + 6
  • Skill Group + 9
  • Single Skill + 18

I think this is the best place for the skill bonuses to be at (as you mentioned in previous EE release single skill bonus was massive, would have been +30).

Ok, good to know. And the golem, for once, was indeed ACTUALLY a challenge.

Did you the same for other encounters? Namely the magic elemental in orc encampement for the main quest. They litteraly destroyed my new Seraphim though I was still lacking on items & defense to be honest. Don't leave without your relics folks! :o

I am perusing through the doc right now but there is ton to cover.
In the meanwhile I'll be doing something you advised -> All 6 skills from the 3 aspects + combo skill + ancient magic + armor

Though with the high elf

First: Thank you for still working on this great game.

I wanted to start playing Sacred 2 (Steam version) again using v3.0a of your mod, but my high elf looks kind of glitched.

When I start a new high elf character and equip my first leg equipment, her legs/feet are all bent out of shape. It is kind of creepy.

This only happens with v3.0, but the bug vanishes if I return to v2.4 or only use the cm-patch. I also reinstalled/redownloaded the game/mods, but this did not change anything.

Does this only happen to me, or is this a problem with the mod?

Thanks for trying the mod and writing back. I haven't heard of a glitch like this except perhaps with old characters created outside the mod.

Can you send me your savegame files and I'll check it out?  It's in C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2

I need hero01.sacred2save and hero01.sacred2stats (hero number may be different).

Upload them to Google Drive, Mega, Mediafire or some other file host.

I deleted all my characters first(by deleting the folder via explorer), to avoid exactly this scenario. Therefor my character is really just a level 1 high elf a few minutes in. I start playing the character, run to the nearest village and buy some cheap leg armor(silken pantaloons).

I am not familiar with file hosting so I can not send you the files. This is my first forum account ever, and I am not familiar with a lot of things.

Since this glitch is pretty hard to miss, the problem might be only on my end anyway.

Well then, is it every piece of leg armor you equip, or just those silken pantaloons?  Can you post a screenshot of them?  I need to narrow down the possibilities.

Hi, guys.
I'm currently very much enjoying a new run and I wanted to say thank You to Flix and others for putting so much time and effort into making it possible with the Enhanced Edition and the Community Patch. Thanks for the fantastic work.

Flix, If You don't mind, I have a few questions:
1. Can I use a character from Enhanced Edition 2.0 and continue in 3.0a without any issues?
2. Is Character Editor safe to use if I want to just edit combat art modifications?
3. Tinwora's Curse isn't displayed correctly for me. Is it on my end or not?
Only CM 1.6, Enhanced Edition 3.0a and a few minor mods are installed like font replacement. Unaffected by settings.
In character's hand and on the ground:

Here is a screenshot of my character.  You are also right about it happening only on certain armor pieces. In the screenshot my character is wearing woven pants, but everything is ok if  I switch to leggings or wear nothing.

Also there seems to be a problem with the skin color of the torso. My character should have blue skin in this screenshot. This could even be seen during character creation and  also happens to dryads.

I will continue playing this character for a while, maybe I will find more armor pieces that cause this glitch.

Maybe this  screenshot could explain what is happening to my character. Some pieces of armor do not only contain the armor itself, but also a pair of new legs, arms or torso. I think this part of the model should be transparent or not existent at all. This glitch actually  not only happens to leg armor but all kind of armor pieces. This is also the explanation for the wrong skin color of my character.

As can be seen on the screenshot the metal armor my character uses does display in a correct way.

I just wonder if this is only a problem on my machine or if other players experience similar glitches.

The main threat is having your combos and divine gift bugged. Once this happens there is no fixing it. Two of the combos will go missing and you'll see a combo icon in the (non-functional) divine gift slot.  This is rare but possible with legacy / edited characters.  You can always back up your save files first.  If the character loads without issue, then you are safe.

What is guaranteed is re-rolled stats on normal/magic/rare items of most types.  Also possible is some odd quest behavior for quests in progress.  Taking the character to a new difficulty will usually circumvent any problems.  On revisiting lower difficulties again you may find that you are swarmed with hirelings from quests you've already completed.

I think it looks ok on the ground, but not in the hand. Special shaders and FX usually aren't applied until the item is in-hand so there may be something going wrong there. I'll review the surface entries.  Do you have a damage converter socketed in the blue slot?

This seems to indicate some script errors in itemtype.txt and/or surface.txt.  Namely, 3.0 removed all "skin" from all armor parts, so there should be no body parts visible on any armor (or so I thought).  I never saw anything like this in testing but maybe I missed something.  Tell me please, what are your textures set to in the Options menu?  Minimal, Default, or Elite?

No, just a freshly dropped item.

Thanks for the good answers, Flix. And thanks for looking into it.

One more small bug to add - I just saw Ambul NPC from "Days Gone By" quest (south-east of Twainbrook) become invincible. He is an escorted NPC that turns hostile. Looked like he had extremely high HP pool and was instantly regenerating damage after each hit. Quicksaving and reloading resolved this but he was teleported to his original location before the quest, as expected I think.
Did anyone experience something similar?

I play this game on a laptop. This means it must be on minimum. All other settings are on low too.

Ok that explains the problem then.  Textures need to be set to Default or Elite.  Minimal is not supported in EE and will result in the weird things you're seeing.

Yep. That´s it. Changing to Default fixes all the strange behaviour. Luckily the performance loss is only minimal.

I must have skipped that passage in the changelog somehow. Sorry.

Thanks again for the mod and your effort. The new music gives a really fresh feel to the game, too. I really enjoy it.

Yes it's a known bug. I've had a bunch of reports, probably because the quest is encountered so early in the game.  The intent was to make it so he couldn't be killed until he transformed into a ghost, instead it just made him immortal period.

I have the fixed script on hand, just haven't had an occasion to revisit the mod for another release.

Hi @Flix, do you have a changelog of what has been modified inside global.res? Since the italian translation was missing , I decided to translate it myself: with s2rw I added all the missing entries in global.res (those related to the new quests, items and book) and I'm currently updating the Combat Art modifications to match the changes while adding some detail to mach the wiki's description. Once I've modified all the Combat Arts (including the horse's one and the Divine Gifts), is there anything else that needs to be fixed?

Sacred 2 always had a great Italian fanbase and I thought it was a shame I could never get an Italian translation for Enhanced Edition.

The community is still alive, but (especially for Sacred 2) has seen better days

The most important ones would be the ones you've listed. Combat arts, modifications, books, new quests and enemy names.

Thanks, I just realized that I missed the Olm's name variations.

I am currently working on the Core module, after that I will translate the Alternate Spells module too. How should I send the file to you?
