The majority of the purchasers gave Sacred 3 one star, (11 people out of 25) But enough took pity and selected 3 stars, about 5 posters, that Sacred 3 was raised from the bottom to appear even half way respectable. There was concensus it bore nearly no relationship to the Sacred franchise, one reviewer even suggesting one would have to leave their expectations at the door before they could enjoy the game.

 

I trust the actual buyers at Amazon more than the professional reviewers anyway. I think it was GN that thought Red Dead Redemption about the greatest game of all time, and most rated it very highly, and the Add-on, Undead Nightmare , got more points than had Shivering Isles not many years before; 10 out of 10 I think. (Yes, I enjoyed RDR; no, I do not think it in the running for greatest rpg of all time)

 

Sacred 3 is selling for around 28 bucks American or so, pretty rapid fall for a fairly new release. I don't think the company will get their money out of their effort, whatever that effort was.

 

One purchaser who was positive about the game said he thought there would be little replay for most people. Play it once and put it in a box somewhere.....and indeed there were already used copies for sale.

Now, that's how capitalism is supposed to work! If it's an inferior product that fails to meet needs you pay at the marketplace for your bad work.

 

I am very heartened to see "unbended' still unbent and moving forward.

Hervorragende DVD-Hülle "Sacred 3" 20. August 2014

Die DVD-Hülle wird in Cellophanfolie geliefert, ist wertig verarbeitet und macht haptisch einen guten Eindruck. Einmal ausgepackt ist die DVD-Hülle einfach zu verwenden: die Hülle lässt sich einfach öffnen und schließt ohne Probleme. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen DVD-Hüllen konnte ich auch nach mehrfachem Öffnen und Schließen keine Abnutzungserscheinungen feststellen definitiv ein Zeichen hoher Wiederverwendbarkeit. Wiewohl wahrscheinlich in China (oder in einem anderen ostasiatischen Land) hergestellt, dürfte der Benutzer daher über lange Zeit viel Freude an der DVD-Hülle haben.

 

Anders als bei vielen Billig-Hüllen werden hier sowohl eine Dummy-Inlaycard als auch eine Dummy-Covercard und ein Dummy-Handbuch mitgeliefert. Alle drei Bestandteile sind wertig gearbeitet und schön bunt bedruckt. Die abgebildeten Fantasy-Figuren sind zwar Geschmackssache, positiv aber, dass der Hersteller auf eine hochwertige Gestaltung wert legt und für seine Produkte ein professionelles Artwork verwendet.

 

Besonders hervorzuheben ist an dieser DVD-Hülle, dass eine Silberscheibe gratis mitgeliefert wird. Sie verdeutlicht exemplarisch, wie DVDs oder CDs korrekt eingelegt werden müssen. Praktisch dabei: Die mitgelieferte Silberscheibe (seltsamer Aufdruck: Sacred 3 First Edition) kann danach auf vielfältige Art weiterverwendet werden, z. B. als Untersetzer für Gläser und Tassen oder aber als Frisbee-Ersatz. Ich habe sie unter das linke Tischbein meines Essenstischs geschoben. Nun steht er wieder gerade und wackelt nicht mehr; ich kann die Gläser wieder ohne Angst ganz voll machen. Super!

 

Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist der Preis des Produkts. Für in etwa 40,- Euro bekommt man bei anderen Herstellern mehrere hundert DVD-Hüllen. Immerhin sinkt der Preis ja typischerweise recht schnell nach dem Erscheinungstermin. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung dennoch für diejenigen, die für ein gutes Produkt auch etwas mehr auszugeben bereit sind.

This DVD case is shipped in cellophane wrapping, high-quality processed and makes a good impression to the touch. Once unwrapped, the case is simple to use: it's easy to open and closes without any problems. Contrary to many other DVD cases I coldn't detect any wearing, even after multiple opening and closing operations definitively a sign of high reusability. Albeit being made probably in China (or any other east-asian country), the user should be able to take much pleasure in this DVD case for a long time.

 

Contrary to many low-cost cases, a dummy inlay, dummy cover and dummy manual are included here. All three of them are quality processed and nicely colored. The pictured 'fantasy characters' are a matter of taste, but it is positive that the manufacturer emphasizes high quality presentation and uses professional 'artwork' for his pruducts.

 

With this DVD case it is especially remarkable that there is a 'silver disk' [german slang] included for free. Said disk illustrates by example how CDs or DVDs are to be inserted correctly. Useful here: the included silver disk (strange inscription: Sacred 3 First Edition) can be reused afterwards in multiple ways, as a coaster for glasses and mugs or as a frisbee substitute. I put it under the left leg of my dining table. Now it's straight again and doesn't shake anymore; I can fill glasses to the rim without fear again. Superb!

 

The only point of criticism is the price of this product. For around 40,- you get many hundred DVD cases at other manufacturers. However, the price usually goes down rather fast after the release date. A clear recommendation for those willing to pay a little more for a good product.
