Blind Guardian - after all these years

Visiting my old university, JLU = Justus Liebig University, at Giessen, Hessen, Germany I saw several posters with a band I almost forgot.

 

The band members look a bit older now.

Last time I was at the Schiffenberg was in April for a medieval market, with music, knight games, hunt with falcons ... The Schiffenberg is an ancient monastry/basilica on top of a hill at the surrounding of Giessen,

A week after Blind Guardian on a friday is HammerFall on a saturday at the Schiffenberg. But my family would vote for Adel Tawil which is a day after Blind Guardian. Great german lyrics and a great voice. You know, sentimental songs are best if they get direct to your heart, without a detour through the part of the brain doing translations. 3 of the kids never had English at school.

'Universum' is kinda the song for our family. Where ever the kids go, this is always their home.

Kinda got my fancy going for concerts back in the day.. playing this game when it first came out and to have a concert playing within from an actual live band... absolute immersion, and the band was big whe the game came out!

Any other game done this with a band, or is this Sacred's own ?

I know that my older sis robbed the extra CD from my space exploration 'Homeworld' game for Amiga. The extra was an song from 'Yes' made for the game. Quite good game graphics for 1999 in the video.

Saying after all this years and you can be sure that you meet someone again just a few days after again. Hansi Gürsch from Blind Guardian was on TV yesterday as an expert for 'Pop Giganten' in the Hard n Heavy spedial. He comment on Nazareth at around 14:30 before the end of the video
