Targeting of Hallowed Restoration.

Recommended Posts

The problem is that when trying to use it and your mouse cursor happens to be hovering over or near an enemy corpse, the corpse gets highlighted and attempting to cast the CA at that moment results in your character getting frozen for about 0.5 seconds and the CA isn't performed. It can get very annoying when fighting enemies with large corpses and you have to move your mouse somewhere to the edge of the screen so you can actually cast Hallowed Restoration.

Is there a spell targeting type which could be used for Hallowed Restoration, which would prevent this behavior? As in right clicking would always cast HR, no matter what? It casts fine when you target a living enemy with HR, it's only the corpses which prevent it from casting.

Thanks. I might try some different spellcontroltypes. Only excluding corpses from the possible targets would be optimal, but as multiplayer is basically non-existent, the only other use case other than healing yourself would be healing temporary firendly quest NPCs. Which can already be done with potions. So if Hallowed Restoration was limited only to the player character but it'd stop targeting corpses, I'd take that trade. I'm currently playing a pretty fragile Seraphim build and getting stuck in place for 0.5 seconds because I right clicked Hallowed Restoration but my mouse cursor was randomly near a corpse was getting pretty annoying (not to mention deadly :)).

EDIT:

Changing the control type to the eCAtype_b_boost_self suggested by Flix worked fine. Corpses still get highlighted, but HR casts without issues now.

Just a small bump, did the same for Dashing Alacrity. It also prevents you from accidently casting it on nearby NPCs instead of yourself :P Missing DA and miscasting it in the middle of a fight on an escort NPC instead of yourself can be a nasty thing to have happen.
