namad 3 Share Posted September 26, 2011 I'm prolly thinking of darkmatters then, I just wish I could find a good dryad shopper guide similar enough to what I am doing to help me decide if I want armor lore OR constitution more Link to comment
gogoblender 3,293 Author Share Posted September 27, 2011 You know, I think there was a crazy shopper/dryad/VD build that had hundreds of posts on it. It was for console though, think that could have been it? gogo Link to comment
namad 3 Share Posted September 27, 2011 nah, pretty sure this was before I'd even HEARD the game could be played on a console, furthermore, it was for putrescines' style of dryad who would used darting assault and ravaging impact and no viperish disease at all 1 Link to comment

I see that the community's really add more over the years, and so will come back a little later this weekend to add to the history! gogo Link to comment
gogoblender 3,293 Author Popular Post Share Posted June 21, 2015 Of course, we were never really a Sacred site first... we only started the site cuz a bunch of us from Sacred forum were first at Dagirl's site, which she threw up, and became like a cool new home while we were waiting for Sacred 2... the game, of course was Ogame... the most compelling and immersive game ever made, worse than anything I've ever played, and which I had to stop playing after two years. One of the early members, Indy13, was a huge metal fan... him, me, jun and someone else, I forget who, formed our own alliance, so we weren't able to stay on Dagirls' site anymore. We started a free forum, so that the four of us could post messages to each other instead of doing it inside the game... it was during that time the name came up... Indy was a huge metal fan... *groan* I hated metal, knew nothing about it, and was vehemently against it For a few days, we sent names back and forth and I think the name came cuz of some metal band he liked which had the word "dark" in it (I think he wanted us to be called Dark Metal or something like that, aieeeeeeeeeeee... ... he INSISTED we used that word... so after some mulling, I came up with my half, which was Matter...which was the cool word at the time...but, as we were also dimly thinking of a future... we added the s to it, so that it meant something more vague, ... a kind of collection of outside thinkers or thinking... out of the box, strange, brave... Word spread throughout the net, everyone else from the Sacred community started finding us, and from 4 peeps, kicked out of an old clan, we became hundred, then thousands then tens of thousands. And that's your history, my beloved online family gogo 5 Link to comment

Hooyaah 3,020 Popular Post Share Posted June 27, 2015 One of my online buddys (from Maryland) mailed me the vanilla Sacred 2 version. That was quite a number of years ago and I now play the Gold version; I just can't quit the game. Dark Matters remains to this day a great repository of information and downloads. I would be remiss not to mention that there are some remarkable people who yet frequent the site as well! 2 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,293 Author Popular Post Share Posted January 14, 2018 We were messing around with some of the forum settings tonight and, course, ended up going through some old threads... forgot about this one.. here's some fresh history for any Darkmatters readers out tonight here with us on the boards or lurking... Much love to our brave and awesome community! gogo 2 Link to comment

Ill never forget the feeling of great joy when that forum went up and we had a summer home for a scant time... In fact Schot still has all the assets but he's so busy with projects that a skin would take so much time...he's always wanted to make his own custom skin for DarkMatters with a theme culled from Sacred Undrworld with their over the top detailed buttons and ornate portals.. we'll one day get that, and who knows, maybe a small, surprise groove vacation awaits us one day gogo Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619 Share Posted February 25, 2019 The groove theme!! I remember the first time I browsed to FDM and saw the groove theme I thought I'd taken a wrong turn somewhere - bright colours and whatnot everywhere!! Back then I was a lurker, not a poster so had no idea about the quirky nature of things here... Link to comment

Delta! 1,007 Popular Post Share Posted April 27, 2019 Got my Laptop fixed... and I am back BABY! I know I was not really "missing" but I was not as active as I usually am. My HDD crashed, and did not want to boot into windows, and I did not have the finances to buy a new one, because I wanted a 2tb SSD... and they cost some money. But I got it, and I am still setting up the laptop to the way I want it again, downloading games on Steam, getting other apps and everything back, but I had to come and say "Hello!" 2 Link to comment
Hooyaah 3,020 Share Posted April 27, 2019 Welcome back Theuns! That's a beefy SSD to be sure. You can tear a byte off that and still have mega bits left over! Link to comment

MSI GP72 6QE Leopard Pro range Core i7 6700 2.60GHz 16GB ram 2tb SSD GeForce GTX 950M (2GB DDR5) 17.3" screen Windows 10 I saved up for a few years, not really knowing what it will be for, but when my desktop pc crashed in so many ways, and I basically needed a whole new pc... I went for a laptop. I have been very happy with my beast(it was back then), and yes, I went for a top of the range and I have never had a regret about it. MSI makes amazing computers and Laptops. and it has lasted and served me very well for 5 years, and then only the HDD crashed because of our unreliable electrical situation in South Africa... I believe that you would enjoy this benchmark test. It is a beautifully breathtaking environment that is a bit steam punk. It will benchmark your laptop's performance but it will also play in a loop that will showcase the environment and show off the graphic rendering ability of your rig. To enjoy Heaven, try this free download directly from the developer's site here at Unigine.com. Link to comment
