alfchaval 121 Popular Post Share Posted August 27 Sacred hide some Easter Eggs with hidden paths, the Thain's Axe, the Pac-Man cave, the Babylon 5 spaceship and the Jason items. And there are at least two in Embalmed Forest, one leads you to a shop and another to a cursed treasure. Is there a list with all hidden paths?, because I think I have mentioned all the important ones, but I know that there is at least one more, just before Porto Vallum, and I've never seen anyone mention it, so that makes me think that there might be other hidden paths that no one mentions because they are not important. 3 Link to comment
Sethi22 175 Share Posted August 27 (edited) Oooo, exciting! And what's on the other side? I'll have to check it out! (I of course don't know of any more, but I didn't know about this one either. The only thing I have worth mentioning is what I recently learned about the Jason items: that they can only be collected in multiplayer. And since I have almost always played singleplayer, I thought they were missing from the game. Because in SP, the place is empty, but in MP, they're there.) And where are the ones in the Embalmed forest? I always saw the shop sign there, but I thought it was bugged or something, because near the place where you get the Weapon of Legends, there's a cave with its own shop inside. And I thought that was the one that got on the map by accident. But it seems I was wrong. Again... Edited August 27 by Sethi22 1 Link to comment
Sethi22 175 Share Posted August 27 (edited) (((Well, I thought I knew about another one, but I realized it is not so. It's not actually hidden, it's only hidden for blind noobs like me. I don't know how many times I've walked past it during the main quest without noticing. It's the place where you meet Jacquaire in the Unknown warrior quest. (I only realized it a couple of days ago, when I checked every quest on Wolfe's lair for the scrolls) It sure was hidden enough for me! http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Pages/SeriesQuests-UnknownWarrior1.html))) Edited August 27 by Sethi22 Link to comment

You can enter the same zone from the west, there is nothing there, but being a semi-closed area makes me think that they originally were going to put something there. 6 hours ago, Sethi22 said: I recently learned about the Jason items: that they can only be collected in multiplayer. That's not true, I started a single player campaing and were directly to them and they were there. Do you have the 2.28 patch? There were some problems with Jason items in Underworld before that patch. It may also be a bug, similar to the water bottle in the desert that didn't spam to some players (my guess is that in both cases the game treat the item as normal drops and when there are too many drops it start deleating the old ones to save memory). 6 hours ago, Sethi22 said: And where are the ones in the Embalmed forest? There is pretty well hidden cave near the cursed treasure, but I wouldn't count it as a hidden path, you can see there is a little gap. I also wouldn't count as hidden paths walking along the river banks, like it's the case of the of the Azschabrag's treasure. 2 1 Link to comment
Lindor 544 Share Posted August 27 In my experience, if you don't pick up the Jason items right away when you're getting close, there's a chance they despawn. Because I had that happen to me in the past as well, but following three rules reliably fixed that for me: Do not enter Thorwyn's tomb place from the hedgeton side before getting the Jason Items Do not do the Hedgeton quests where you need to go to the forest stronghold in the east of hedgeton until you get the Jason Items Immediately go for the Jason Items once you're near Drakenden Basically it's a good idea to not go to Hedgeton before you were in Drakenden if you want the Jason items. Maybe they despawn if you are long enough near them without picking them up. Or maybe there's a some radius where they spawn when you enter it the first time, but despawn when you leave it without picking them up and then never spawn again. Something like that. 1 Link to comment

By the time I got to it in singleplayer, I had always done all the quests in Hedgenton and the nearby area, so maybe that's why they weren't there. It's down to my questmania it seems. (But anyway, if it's not there for some reason, you can go for it in MP.) And of course thanks for all the beautiful pictures Alfchaval, I'll check them out for sure! I knew about the treasure at the bottom picture, but the Embalmed forest ones I had no idea about! Edited August 27 by Sethi22 Link to comment

I say I had that happen to me in the past, and my theory was that they despawn, so I adapted by not going to hedgetown before entering the dark areas and that did work. Maybe it's because they despawn. Maybe it's because of something else. Maybe it's random. But for me there's statistical evidence that they do despawn now. 2 Link to comment
