Socketing everything with mitigation stuff surely takes it's toll on the damage, no? In the end you are not socketing "everything" with mitigation stuff. But of course you are right that if you put in "whet" arts instead you get a miniscule amount of damage instead. 3 hours ago, SLD said: oh btw. the second upload attempt just failed, so I guess I'll have to record a shorter one. Edit: Shorter one is attempting to upload now... So I guess I'll wait for another hour... I wonder if it breaks of exactly at one hour, as there was the same problem when trying to download files for the addendum. Maybe there is always a 1 hour cutoff. Edit 2: This time it failed far quicker. So I guess playing Sacred 2 while uploading was not a good idea. I just have to sit here and babysit it. Edit 3: And it failed again... Now I did round 4. This time I watched that upload progress all the way to 100%. I had to watch it for about an hour... And it failed at completion. With an "error code -200". Googling that one interestingly enough quickly led to a thread on the invision community forums, even though I didn't even google for such specifics: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/462553-error-code-200/ So at this point I am convinced, that there is nothing I can do about this. Maybe really short videos could make it through, if it has anything to do with the upload time, but I mean it's only 4:28 mins. Well I just did some research and it turns out that my 4 and a half minutes video is a tiny bit larger than ric's 3 min guardian fight. Just a tiny factor of ~4.5 or so Sadly the xbox game bar recording solution doesn't allow me to reduce the video quality any further. I will try some stuff and see if I can upload something shorter or otherwise diminished
SLD 524 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 (edited) So here we are, after 10 hours of trying to upload a 5 minute video that I basically had to record twice as a whole and once split up in 5 parts now you get those 5 parts split across three download threads: Edit: Links were removed as per Gogo's cleanup Video can now be viewed on youtube, see below. The rest of this post has not been altered. @gogoblender I hope you have at least as much fun cleaning up that mess My guess is there is some kind of upload size limit but not for a single file or a single account, no it's for a single download thread. We got a relatively precise measurement of it being somewhere between 149mb and 19Xmb so I guess it's 150mb? If you could allow some 330mb I could upload that four and a half minute video as a non- hackjob. For now this forum massacre was the best workaround I could find. Edit: Gogo has made a youtube playlist for those who don't want to download that mess. I highly advise watching it there Edited October 17, 2024 by SLD 1
Sethi22 298 Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 This forum life is a hard one, yes. I feel your pain too. I did my acute observations about the videos there, in download 1? But I didn't know that you can't post there normally as here, it's awaiting approval from a moderator. But as usual, there was absolutely no useful info in it, so if it gets axed, you won't miss much. Special thanks for upload 5, I hadn't seen that then, you show your inventory and skill screen! Well done! Rest now old man, take a sip or two of your hidden reserves of T-energy drinks, and if at any point you feel that uploading a video (or screenshots maybe? Easier, no?) of your items in the smithing screen as well, that would be great. Until everything is socketed with sera phys mitigation runes, there's not much to see, sure, but later on maybe? 1

But I'll have to rework my gear for the llech% set bonus. Not sure how much space I'll have then. The gear is really not that interesting, it's all self found with neither ep nor bargaining after all. 46 minutes ago, Sethi22 said: Special thanks for upload 5 I thought you would like that cuddling with the orcs, to see with your own eyes what phys mitigation does. The only regret I have is that I didn't turn off the warding energy buff in the middle of them Opening the inventory and skills screens was just something I could do while waiting for the orcs to not do damage. The gear pieces are all set items so they should be recognizable that way already. The jewellery is one "-% evade chance" and one "regen per hit" ring combined with an amulet that gives like 4 or 5 to toughness. I just don't have a third dot reduction oneand nothing else to put there. I don't think I have to explain the bfg, the wapon slot 4 contains a buff bonus set for the warding energy buff containing a celioth's ward and a parashu each socketed with +all skills amulets. The relic holder I think is quite well visible again, for the non colourblind. But by now I only ever use the mixed triple with magiic, poison, fire. Everything else should be covered by the "diary". 1
Popular Post SLD 524 Posted October 16, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2024 (edited) Another update of my BFG Sera progress Parts 1-4 are here: https://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/72710-an-easy-character-for-a-returning-sacred-2-player/page/4/#comment-7146490 Edit0: there is kinda a part 4.5 explaining the gear: https://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/72710-an-easy-character-for-a-returning-sacred-2-player/page/5/#comment-7146609 So this is part 5: Orc caved to level 99 and did a big gear rework. I'm now wearing 8 pieces of the "Revelation of the Seraphim" Set + the gloves from the "virtues of the Seraphim" Set. The revelation Set bonus gives 1.7% Lifeleech at this point in platinum. Alltogether my gear gives me 28% mitigation against everything, another 20% from lvl 131 toughness. And still 100% in total phys mitigation through the help of socketed sera runes. I filled 2 sockets with all channel dot reduction amulets. 2 with all skills and another 2 with +toughness amulets. I also socketed a unique "dragon amulet" giving around 10% extra fire mitigation and fire dot reduction. There is no secret plan in this mix, it's just what I had. Toughness and all skills(via toughness) give extra mitigation and dot is just the bane of energy shields because flat mitigation won't help there so lowering that is also quite useful. The 10% fire mitigation from the dragon amulet were just to great to pass up. I still wear one -% chance to evade ring and one regen per hit ring. The amulet I wear is more toughness The two +allskills items that are now socketed in my gear were pulled out of my "weapon group 4" warding energy bonus set. That is still a Parashu and a Celioth's ward but now they're socketed with Warding Energy runes. So I still don't really have anything interesting in terms of jewellery. For the Orc caving, I have another warning: Watch out for Ogres outside the cave. When one of them freezes/slows you, wait till it is over before you enter the cave, otherwise the slow effect will become permanent for the rest of the game. Teleporting, mounting, getting slowed again etc. all don't help remedy this, the only solution I have found is leaving the game and entering a new one. That fixes the problem, so failing to notice an ogre won't brick the character, but it's certainly a thing one would want to avoid. Edit: finally reached lvl 102. levelling from 101 to 102 took around 40 minutes of pure orccaving. Now that I have reached this level I raised Concentration to 75 to unlock the third buff and put my final leftover point in EW Focus. So now I have Armor Lore, Tech Lore and Concentration at 75 Tech Focus and Toughness at character level EW Focus at 6 Tactics Lore and Ranged Weapons at 1 and 2 empty skill slots I will continue keeping tech focus and toughness up and put further points into EW Focus to get upgrade points and higher buff levels of battle stance. I found a higher version of my set shoulders raising my mitigation, thereby allowing me to free another socket and found a unique ring with +defensive skills to slot into that. I now have 32.5% mitigation from gear +20.7% from toughness and still reach 100% against phys. Because the dragon amulet I talked about earlier gives me extra toughness against fire, I also chose to switch my relics to magic, ppoison and ice. I found a unique ice relic with tons of ice and the usual tiny bit of poison resist and it just made sense to make this swap. With the new values turning on Divine protection will also make me fire immune now. And it leaves less than 9% of poison ice and magic damage. Divine protection is quite op here With all this new defensive and offensive power I think it's time to progress through the rest of the platinum campaign. Edit2: reached lvl 103 and upgraded battle stance for more damage. Made it to the dryad islands already. So far no problems. (I also recorded the kills of Octagolamus, Garganthropod and Kral) Edit3: Platin is done, I reached lvl 104 and overall am at around 68 hours played. With a lot less leveling this campaign only took around 15 hours, a lot less than the previous two. The Inquisitor's reflect was no longer a problem. (The guardian fight has been recorded) Off to Niobium I guess... Edit4: Got started with niobium airlines and feed the poor. Enough for today Edit5: Of course I also updated my gear with Niobium runes, got 2 more sockets freed that way and filled one with another newly found dot reduction amulet. Now that I have a "valuable" thing in every item however and I certainly don't have enough jewellery to waste I decided to fill the other free slot with a blacksmith anneal for now. Edit6: Lvl 105 now and reached my orccaving spot again. My sb would make enemies lvl 120 but the orcs are already lvl 121, so it seems that is their minimum level. Going forward the minimum enemy levels would increase and I'd be more and more underlevelled for the enemies. This would be doubly dangerous as the enemies don't just get stronger because of higher level, but also get a damage bonus for level difference. So I should now Orc cave for more levels and better gear to make this campaign significantly easier. Sadly I really don't feel like hammering my char against the orc cave for countless hours again... I will try to continue a bit further without levelling for now... (btw. the Gar'Colossus has also been recorded) Edit7: The minimum levels don't scale as fast as I feared. Reached the swamp now. Enemies are still just lvl 124. I reached lvl 106 changed my gear a bit, now wearing the +def skills ring instead of regen per hit and socketing another toughness amulet where the ring previously was. Just some minor mitigation improvements... (I also left evidence of my crimes against the Octagolamus, Xanthiar and the Carnach) Edit8: reached level 107. Played through to the dryad island. (Recorded the demise of the Garganthropod and Kral. Recorded the epic that was the final fight against the miasma. That thing takes literally more time to kill than all other campaign bosses combined...) Edit9: Also chose drill and retaliation mods for battle stance. Edited October 18, 2024 by SLD 1 1

I've done tons of orccaving, as that is my activity I do under watching sport events in a window. (But it's still way better than what can happen to your horse in Sacred 1 if it gets poisoned in some strange way. It can get slowed down permanently, at least I haven't been able to find a solution for the problem. Neither have I been able to uncover the mystery of how the poisoning actually happened... I had to sell the poor beast. Sad things, these...) And of course this wasn't the most proper reply here, as noone (apart from me) was writing about Sacred 1, but by now, I think you have become used to this. My offtopic behaviour. Other than that, thanks for the items upgrade! I'll look into it tomorrow! And although at a much slower pace, but your lightsaber build have succesfully made it to gold today, the guardians were a complete joke. Sethi22 298 Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Hahhh! You germans and your efficient ways! 13 hours, which you will undoubtedly find way too much, but I took down all the dragons, and most bosses I think, and of course a lot of it was spent standing around somewhere afk. 1

Popular Post Sethi22 298 Posted October 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2024 wow I didn't expect that! It would have taken much longer, but seeing you were already at platinum I rushed to the end instead of orccaving and leveling normally. I hope I won't regret it! I just couldn't stand it any more to be in silver while you were already platinuming, But I of course used my nio smith and most of the items were already socketed and ready, and I just dropped them in from another sw. And I wanted to see the "temple guardian ingress portals" too! That was another key factor. But I'll slow down now in gold, and do an honest grind this time! 2

But the levels will keep on coming faster now, (the NBA season starts soon), and that means some heavy orc caving for me!This is exactly how my last sw died too. Got bored with silver, rushed to the orc cave in gold... R.I.P. But now! Now it's different. Now I know about the phys mitigation sera runes! They won't stand a chance! 2

Sethi22 298 Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 (edited) You don't like orc caving, you don't like the campaign, and you don't really like bossfights either, because you leave some dragons and minibosses standing. Then what DO you like? Playing with a maxed out character with 100% mitigation for every damage type? And what do you do with that chap? Kill kobolds, or what? Edited October 18, 2024 by Sethi22 1

Then what DO you like? I do like making perfect character builds There is a reason why I never reached level 200. At some point the game gets boring, repetitive and there is almost no more change on the character. As long as something changes I like farming loot etc. In that case it's mostly bosses though, which my rules for this playthrough won't allow. I left out dragons etc. because it takes so long to get to all those bosses and it's not worth it. I left out grinding the forest guardian because I considered that thing a bug and wanted a run as legit as possible. That resulted in Orc cave being the only spot for xp and loot. I spent almost all my time with this character there and I'm burnt out, which is also why I'm now finishing the niobium campaign without a levelling phase. I usually don't play Sacred 2 all the time. So what I do like is making a theoretical character, proving my theory in game by satisfyingly demolishing everything with it and then moving on to doing something else Sometimes I just want to break a certain game mechanic like trying to stack as much mf as possible to see what the loot looks like at that point. I guess I just like pushing boundaries and seeing things no moo has seen before 2

There is a cave nearby and popping in and out resets the boss kinda like orc caving only that you farm a boss outside a cave instead of orc champions inside a cave. That the boss can be respawned via the cave entrance, I would consider a bug. And an especially influential one under my ruleset of only ever playing SP games here, as I would otherwise have a limited amount of bosses to farm. for loot. 1 1
Popular Post SLD 524 Posted October 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 18, 2024 (edited) And here comes the probably final part of my self found SP HC BFG Sera playthrough diary: Ther Road so far: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 4.5 Part 5 And now Part 6: I've finally finished the niobium campaign! I reached lvl 108, the enemies at the end were ~136 some only 134. Overall it took me ~73.5 hours which makes the Niobium campaign by far the fastest, taking only ~5.5 hours. Stat wise nothing interesting changed. It would have certainly been a lot easier if I had put in some time of orc caving, but it was doable without. The most annoying problems in niobium were overleveled enemies doing a lot of damage to my shield, so I had to wait often to regenerate it and at one point even had to use the divine protection to stay safe. Well, had to might not be true, but it's hardcore after all so I did not want to find out wether I can survive anything with a depleted shield. The most notable annoyances that could make it through the shield were fen fires, plants(dot) and demons/TGs in the desolation could do quite some damage as well probably because of the high enemy level in the desolation areas. So bosses turned out to be the easiest part in the end, as for those I could use divine protection if needed. (I recorded the Facetteleon, Nimonuil and Guardian fights and a longer one showing all the gear and character details I could come up with, but it's in a german client...) I will add the finished character file to the download section soon... Edit: She's downloadable here now. Video footage from all the recorded bosskills, etc. might end up on youtube at some point. I will link to it here, when it is ready. Edit: All the videos are up on the SacredWiki channel now, grouped up in this playlist Edit again: I am not in control of that youtube channel, so I am sorry that the videos are not in the correct order, but I do not have the power to fix that. I also apologize to anyone who has been mislead by that comment on the "Orc cave Part 2" video: This character only played with CM-Patch not with EE. And lastly the gear overview video has sadly not been added to the playlist but it is currently available here. So this concludes my diary, and kinda proves at least for the BFG Sera that my guide may not be the best or fastest way there, but it gets you all the way through niobium without taking unneccessary defensive skills Even in self found hardcore pure campaign insanity without the utilization of +xp gear, +mf gear ep, the blacksmith skill, bargaining... It is possible without anything. The cow is happy Edited November 30, 2024 by SLD 2

Sethi22 298 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 (edited) Ok, it's update and question time for the LIGHTSABER build. Although at a much slower pace, but he has just arrived to platinum, level 78. Physical mitigation is currently 93%, could easily be 100%, getting there IS easy with physical, at least with SW. The rest of the mitigations are somewhere between 20-40%. I was dumb enough to take toughness as the last skill for some unknown reason, so it's still far from being mastered, once it gets there, physical will go to 100%. No problem. Armor lore IS already mastered though, so the all channel mitigation on the Kanka cuirass that's tied to armor lore mastery is already working. (I also found a "Darwargon's circlet" on the way, that has every type of mitigation on it.) At the moment I'm using the Withered staff as offhand weapon, that gives a nice chunk of mitigation from fire. I still don't have % lifeleech on anything, so getting that might change this... It's also worth noting, (although I guess this was obvious for most of you, but not for me) that runes don't have a level requirement, so you can socket niobium Sera runes with their 5.5% phys mitigation even on bronze, if you have a character there already. It took me quite some time to realize this... His damage (with a level 10 lightsaber) is around 8000 at the moment (my tactics lore is crap, only a few points in it, and still only 1 rune read in Demonic Blow (I never use Frenzied, DB modded for Area of Effect is perfectly fine for me in every stituation)). DW focus is kept at level, and Grim resilience has I think around 100 runes read in it (could be 200, I have no idea why I haven't read the rest yet, mainly down to laziness, I think). This way my willpower is around 1400, meaning that even 2-3 base damage difference on the rings socketed into the lightsabers results in almost 1000 damage on the real floating damage numbers. And here is where my questions start @SLDsir. So I farmed a two socketed lightsaber for every damage type, and filled them with the matching damage converters, this way I have four lightsabers needing 8 new rings on every few levels. (I know this is not needed, but going in with the one the enemy has the least resistance to is worth it I think, and switching colors sometimes is also nice...) Now at level 78 the best rings I can find as loot give 15 base damage. Yet when I go shopping for them, I get 11, sometimes, rarely 12 maybe. On the other hand my level 122 Niobium shopper guy usually buys rings with 29 base damage on them at the moment. So 1.: Has Bargaining got anything to do with the damage roll on the rings? I thought no, so only the rarity of the item is affected, but I'm really not sure at this point, I'm confused. Reading the wiki didn't make me any smarter either. Going from damage rings with 1 damage on them to 11 in 77 levels, and then from 11 to 29 in 44 levels is somewhat strange. So is this because the big guy has bargaining and the small one does not? Or is it because the damage on the rings goes up quicker on higher levels maybe? Removing my bargaining suit didn't change the results, so I guess it's more connected to levels somehow... 2.: The small dude with the lightsabers has Enhanced perception only, (although still low level, only the +all skills and the relics with EP on them going at the moment, only 1 point in it). Has EP got something to do with the fact that I find better rings than what I can shop for? Originally I thought that this is not the case, and only rarity is affected here as well, but I'm really not sure now. I simply cannot shop for rings with the same damage numbers on them as the ones I can find as loot (And finding 8 of them every few levels is a bit unrealistic...) 3.: At the part where you wrote about how attribute damage works, you gave fictional numbers 10-100 about the base damage on these rings. I would like to know more about the real numbers. What's your highest level char, and what are the damage numbers on those rings he finds or buys? You woke up the scientist in me sir, although he was buried deep down, now I'm even looking at numbers and calculating stuff! Look at me! So basically the 3 questions are really 1: I want to know EVERYTHING about these flat damage rings: how to get them in the most efficient way with the best rolls, what affects these rolls and what to expect on higher levels? I want all of my lightsabers to be in PERFECT shape all of the time, meaning socketed with the best damage rings I can get at that level. (I really like upgrading them and watching the damage numbers go up) I don't know how dumb these questions are, maybe it's something everybody apart from me knows, maybe not. But I want to know how all this works for real now! And I also wanted to update the mitigation part for newbies interested maybe: if I could get to (almost) 100% phys mitigation already at level 78, anyone can really. It's easy-peasy. I currently have only 5 sockets filled with Sera phys mitigation runes, so it's not like everything needs to be sacrificed for it! The rest seems much harder, apart from getting toughness to char level and keeping it there, there's not much I can do at the moment... Hopefully I'll find stuff with other types of mitigation on them... And here is one for this wonderful build! I haven't had this much fun with a Sacred 2 build in a long time! Anyone wanting a strong and easy melee build should look no further! (The only thing sad about it is that all the beautiful high level lightsabers I keep finding seem to be nothing but junk now, anything above level 10 is worthless garbage, I don't even know why I keep them any more...) (ps: Oh! And about the debuffing thing with the Griffin: I just fought him on platinum, and the first time he debuffed me, it was my grim resilience he took away first, which was the first buff. So it's not always the last one! Usually yes, but not always!) edit: Wooohooo, look what the Big Bad Werewolf just dropped for me! Whatda! Twice as much damage as the best one I can find at the same level! I'm trembling! I'm going to pass out! What will happen to my damage once I socket this beauty in? So well over 11000 it is from 8000 now. More than 3000 damage from one socket is not that bad, at least at level 78! I NEED more of these!!! Edited November 22, 2024 by Sethi22 1

It took me quite some time to realize this... This is wrong. You can't directly see it unless socketed, but runes do have a level requirement. It is however relatively low. A niobium rune is a lvl 50 item and therefore it requires level 39 to equip an item socketed with one. Gold and plat runes also have level requirements. Only silver and bronze ones can be used at level 1. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: So I farmed a two socketed lightsaber for every damage type, and filled them with the matching damage converters The converter converts 100% of the elemental portion so those socketed with converters only do physical and the converted damage type. The "colour" of the lightsaber will no longer matter for damage. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: So 1.: Has Bargaining got anything to do with the damage roll on the rings? I thought no, so only the rarity of the item is affected, but I'm really not sure at this point, I'm confused kinda. The rarity of the item (the 15 internal rarity tiers from trash to legendary) do effect the stats "slightly". This should account for all the different damage values that same-level rings can have. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: So is this because the big guy has bargaining and the small one does not? Or is it because the damage on the rings goes up quicker on higher levels maybe? Removing my bargaining suit didn't change the results, so I guess it's more connected to levels somehow... The difficulty of the item is also relevant. So niobium rings at level 100 are better than ones from platinum etc. Otherwise I'm not absolutely sure, but I think it should scale linearly with level. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: Originally I thought that this is not the case, and only rarity is affected here as well, but I'm really not sure now. I simply cannot shop for rings with the same damage numbers on them as the ones I can find as loot (And finding 8 of them every few levels is a bit unrealistic...) again, rarity is a huge field. Rare (yellow) items of tier 8 and of tier 12 yield vastly different results. There is no way ingame to see the rarity tier. But in general found and bought items should follow the exact same rules so wether you got a lot of mf and find lucky high tier damage rings or you have a lot of bargaining and buy high tier damage rings shouldn't matter. However, there is the problem that bargaining at high character levels requires immense skill values to allow the vendor to sell the best (tier 12) equipment and with "immense" I mean absolutely unreachable. So at higher character levels the "best" items can only be found from loot, not bought. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: (And finding 8 of them every few levels is a bit unrealistic...) Well, that's why I don't suggest going for 4 swords... On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: 3.: At the part where you wrote about how attribute damage works, you gave fictional numbers 10-100 about the base damage on these rings. I would like to know more about the real numbers. What's your highest level char, and what are the damage numbers on those rings he finds or buys? Sry, I would guess these values might differ from mod to mod. The only current info I have is that my ~lvl104 SW in EE uses platinum rings with ~25 damage bonus. But I remember having like a niobium Jotun's Maw of more than 70 damage in D2F that wasn't max level yet either... On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: u woke up the scientist in me sir, although he was buried deep down, now I'm even looking at numbers and calculating stuff! Look at me! So basically the 3 questions are really 1: I want to know EVERYTHING about these flat damage rings: how to get them in the most efficient way with the best rolls, what affects these rolls and what to expect on higher levels? If you really want to go the scientific route, go to Maneus' thread. Read it. If I remember correctly, the information on how the mod values for item mods are calculated are in there somewhere. Equipped with that knowledge you go to the games script files, find the correct item mod for the added damage and look at its values. Then you should know exactly what to expect at what level etc. If that is too much work for you, don't worry, you're not alone As for the lazy answer, get Jotun's Maws. Many. High level and high difficulty ones. The most efficient way to do so is cheating of course If you want to find them the normal way you'll have to farm for a while... I haven't found anything better than jotun's Maw yet, but in some versions of the game other "set"-quality rings with added damage seem to exist. I remember seeing one with a lower than Jotun's but still high added magic damage roll. Weird, but in the end Jotun's always comes out on top. What to expect, I've already given you an idea from my D2F Jotun's. If you want to know what's possible in your game version, you'll have to find out on your own or calculate it the "hard" way On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: I want all of my lightsabers to be in PERFECT shape all of the time, meaning socketed with the best damage rings I can get at that level. "Perfect shape all of the time" is probably only possible with duping the best ring you have at a given level. You'll level faster than finding 8 perfect rings at least far beyond level 100... On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: But I want to know how all this works for real now! The science guy to talk to for the real details is Maneus. I am lazy and imprecise. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: The rest seems much harder, apart from getting toughness to char level and keeping it there, there's not much I can do at the moment... Hopefully I'll find stuff with other types of mitigation on them... raising armor lore would also increase the values from your kanka's chest. At least until you hit 250 armor lore. This linked mitigation mod will also go up when you are in higher difficulties. You don't need a higher difficulty item for that, so just by entering a platinum instead of a gold game you already have higher mitigation from linked mods. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: (ps: Oh! And about the debuffing thing with the Griffin: I just fought him on platinum, and the first time he debuffed me, it was my grim resilience he took away first, which was the first buff. So it's not always the last one! Usually yes, but not always!) That fits my theory that it always hits the buffs in order. No not the order you cast them in, also not the order you put them in your buff bar, but the order that they appear in in your combat arts section. So Grim Resilience being the Buff from the first aspect always gets hit first. This is still just a theory, but I have not encountered any evidence against it yet. Edit: Maneus has provided the evidence against my theory, showing that the order is not necessarily as I described, but also confirmed that the order is fixed for every character. For the specific case it remains that Grim Resilience always gets removed before Reflective Emanation. On 11/22/2024 at 2:54 PM, Sethi22 said: I NEED more of these!!! But at least half of it was true: You CAN equip them even in bronze or silver, only the "no item level" part sucked...Well, what can I say? I'm horrible at testing things and "thinking outside of the box" in general... 11 hours ago, SLD said: The science guy to talk to for the real details is Maneus. I am lazy and imprecise. Haha, going to Maneus' thread and checking files would do me no good I'm afraid, I'm perfectly fine with your lazy and imprecise version. I didn't mean a scientist of THAT caliber, but some sort of hatchling, baby scientist. Beginning to learn about numbers and stuff. (To be honest, until now I was doing more math at the grocery store than when playing Sacred...) Interesting things these you write about rarity tiers, so there WAS something weird going on here in both cases! I knew it. I tried and tried and tried to shop for the same rings as I could find, but after a loooooong time, I became fed up with it. I still wasn't sure if I had been desperately unlucky all the way, or EP and Bargaining had something to do with all this. But to be fair, finding that one Jotun's maw made all these problems irrelevant, and the solution is clear: pump EP like crazy and find more of those! 11 hours ago, SLD said: raising armor lore would also increase the values from your kanka's chest. Now this is GREAT news I had no idea about! The Wiki doesn't say anything about this, at least not there, at the Kanka's Relics page. Good thing I poked you again, I would never have found this out, I wanted to leave armor lore at 75, but this changes everything!!! And interesting theory about the Griffin, I'll go and test it! Thanks for the detailed, noob-friendly answers again! Edited November 23, 2024 by Sethi22

The rarity of the item (the 15 internal rarity tiers from trash to legendary) do effect the stats "slightly". This should account for all the different damage values that same-level rings can have. The rarity affects the innate damage/armor value of an item, but otherwise does not affect any item modifiers that are added via the blueprint. The ValueOfBonus in this case is affected by (1) the item level and (2) the difficulty setting. I hope I'm not wrong about the mod that you are discussing, but in EE the "Jotun's Maw" has the following definition in blueprint.txt Quote newBlueprint = { id = 4107, name = "set_ring_jotun", palettebits = "1111111111111111", dmgvariation = 0, minconstraints = {18,13,0}, lvljump = 10, usability = 0, allotment_pmfpi = {1000,0,0,0,0}, uniquename = "unique", specialuseonly = 0, bonusgroup0 = {518,950,10,9,0}, -- Physical Damage Flat bonusgroup1 = {671,1350,10,9,0}, -- HP regeneration itemtypes = {7140,}, wearergroups = {'WEARGROUP_DEFAULT',}, } mgr.createBlueprint(4107, newBlueprint); Quote newBonusgroup = { id = 518, name = "SB_off_dam_phy ", bonuslist = { 373,}, } mgr.createBonusgroup(518, newBonusgroup); Quote newBonus = { -- name = "sb_off_dam_phy", rating = 1, basedonskill = "SKILL_INVALID", type = "BONUS_WEAPONDAMAGERANGE", spez = "DMG_PHYS", spez2 = "", usagebits = 65535, minconstraints = {1,1,0}, difficultyvaluerange0 = {0,3,35}, difficultyvaluerange1 = {1,3,45}, difficultyvaluerange2 = {2,4,55}, difficultyvaluerange3 = {3,5,70}, difficultyvaluerange4 = {4,6,90}, } mgr.createBonus(373, newBonus); From this we can calculate that the ValueOfBonus is 31 at item level 88 and platinum difficulty. Spoiler CreatureOrItemLevel = 88 ValueAt0 = 5 (for platinum difficulty) ValueAt200 = 70 (for platinum difficulty) Intensity = 950 ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR((ValueAt200 - ValueAt0) * (1 / 200) * CreatureOrItemLevel) + ValueAt0) * Intensity * 0.001) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR((70 - 5) * (1 / 200) * 88) + 5) * 950 * 0.001) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR(65 * (1 / 200) * 88) + 5) * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR(28.6) + 5) * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((28 + 5) * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR(33 * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR(31.35) ValueOfBonus = 31 And at item level 200 and niobium difficulty, the bonus will be 85 Spoiler CreatureOrItemLevel = 200 ValueAt0 = 6 (for niobium difficulty) ValueAt200 = 90 (for niobium difficulty) Intensity = 950 ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR((ValueAt200 - ValueAt0) * (1 / 200) * CreatureOrItemLevel) + ValueAt0) * Intensity * 0.001) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR((90 - 6) * (1 / 200) * 200) + 6) * 950 * 0.001) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((FLOOR(84) + 6) * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR((84 + 6) * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR(90 * 0.95) ValueOfBonus = FLOOR(85.5) ValueOfBonus = 85 Of couse, the item level can be higher than 200 and therefore the bonus can be higher as well. 1 1
