The one and ONLY... zoooomgodddddddddddd... its brilliant to see you hear again ! come dance with us a bit, dont want to let you go ... One of my absolute favorite people we met in SIF and in German Forum! We saw your post go up yesterday but it was so crazy at work all day yesterday, I'm so sorry I didnt get to your welcome back party earlier, but was talking to Schot and he thought for a few moments and we both recollected of those feelings of things, years and events going by faster and faster and how it must be so odd yet still cheery that a old-school forum like ours with clunky 2005 graphics and old-style organization still keeps sane Thanks for you kindest words and wishes.. Happy New year my friend and hoping that Christmas was a joy... and now that you're here I get to add you to our new years party welcome and Christmas party dregs... that party has moved into the back halls of our home but it will continue till end of January, ...come have some toasts with us and talk about olden times... Are you still playing with any games? Centuries eh? we'll do our best old friend, we'll stay here with the Wiki and all our friends as long as we can... Ancaria Forever! gogo

Popular Post pevil 125 Posted January 25 Popular Post Posted January 25 I miss the SiF more than anything else from the old days of the internet. It truly was home, and nothing brightens my day more than seeing an old name from there. I saw someone mention the water bottle glitch in a topic the other day, ahhh the memories of fighting the thousands of posts about that... I loved every moment spent on that delightful old forum. I third the request for more info! PowerPyx was absolutely a name I knew around the place, but it was mainly Mirko and DaGirl that I knew much about, particularly as we would chat on MSN. I'm trying desperately to remember who it was who rang me when I was accepted into the betas as well, and spoke to us about our assignments for Underworld and 2. Aging doesn't do memory any favours. 1 1

I never had Mirko on my list but DaGirl and of course you and PowerPyx... lol I think it was Sacred that got me into MSN I remember water bottle glitch... holee molee, caused massive wave of posts...and I never "got" it... I dont believe I even finished Sacred Undeworld! I was mostly a HC Player and SIF user...nothing made me happier than coming home from work so early in the morning and getting my eyes lit up by Ancaria gogo 1
Popular Post pevil 125 Posted January 26 Popular Post Posted January 26 (edited) I think the water bottle glitch is how I found SiF; me and bf were happily playing then one or both of us got hit by it. Off we went to search for the solution and bam, there was SiF. He posted a few times then stopped bothering, but we all know I got addicted to that place. I remember chatting to you on MSN Gogo! I miss MSN. I met so many wonderful people on there, and wasted so many hours a day chatting on it. Little secret, I never finished Underworld or 2. Beta testing does that to you. To be fair, Underworld I didn't test much; I came in at the end of the testing. And that's when I was also more of a HC player so I couldn't ever quite bring myself to 'waste' my precious Sacred time in playing offline when I could be having fun chatting with you guys in-game. I spent far too much time on my Dwarf who was focused on trading, running between "Bravemart". 2, I definitely burnt out on. Testing Shadow Warrior over and over and over, restarting it daily, never getting further than a certain point because new builds would come out and we'd need a fresh save... everyone has this dream view of beta testing something, but truly doing it, not just playing early access 'beta', it's not fun. Rewarding, yes, but definitely not fun. Actual professional QA testers are a special breed! I've tried many times but never got much past the first area. I usually make it to buying my first horse then drift away from it. It didn't have the same charm to me as the original though. I do visit my grave every time I boot it up however! gogoblender 3,649 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 @PowerPyxel ...I found your old banner for RAD in SacredWiki https://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Sacred_Fanpages ... good work!! Quote RAD stands for "Rüstige Alternative Daddler" which means "Lusty Alternative Gamers" The Community's main thing is to give older Gamers (25 and up) a place to share Information about games, to play together, and so on. Members play games other than Sacred, for example: Rappelz and 2Moons This Community is not a Game-Clan with rules, they play together just for fun. RAD is a German game community, and includes many members age 50 and over. English is not very commonly used. There are many threads with translations from English game informations to German. The RAD-Community has very good connections to Ascaron because nearly all Moderators of the GSF (German Sacred Forum} are members. It was founded in May 2005 by PowerPyx and handele Who was doing graphics for the clan back then? The Font work is especially lovely gogo

LOl, water bottle glitch... You know Pev I had not idea what "glitches" meant in those days... but I kept seeing it everywhere , and people were taking on that phrase into almost everyone else's posts and topics! Carolin, lexy and that avatar lady with the cat face were trying to stomp out threads everywhere until they patched it...what a glorious memory and initiation to the game, and what a glorious way to remember your plus one ... attached to Sacred lol... i get your game priorities as well.. I just .. could never understand why anyone in their right mind would ever want to do a quest when... there was the killer hit SIF and HardCor Core servers where all my friends where...its like we said hi and hello to everone in the forum... and then we turned on Sacred .. and eveyrone became their Avatar'sin the game... it was always cool seeing our SIF names from the community come alive... like scenes from Ready Player One! Course some of the deeper players knew these quests, and they had more magically powers... knew were sets where, knew that certain quests could give points, mega experience... so in the great balance.. it came to be a grand gift And regarding doing beta testing... Me and Schot never did Underworld, we hadnt arrived in time, but Schot did a lot of beta testing for Sacred 2 with a lot of the gang from here, and ...well he's Schot so he loves everything all of us normally have make us go crazy Dang, Pevil your grave!! Yes you have one! In Underworld or Sacred 2, or both? Actually..is there anyone that has graves in both games? That's a cool trivia question Do you know where you grave is, what's it say? gogo
Popular Post pevil 125 Posted February 14 Popular Post Posted February 14 Lexy! I forgot about dear Lexy. Ah so many memories. If I could go back to those times for a day I'd be so happy, and I'd spend the entire day on the SIF. I used to be scared of the spiders in Sacred. I'm a big arachnophobe, but mostly film and game spiders don't bother me. The little flat, hairy ones in Sacred though... ugh. I had to overcome my fear because the tarantulas in the desert were the place to farm set drops. Most of my hardcore play was spent there, and I'd invite people to join me, hoovering up any non-set items and leeching experience from me. Good times. I used to see Knight of the Rose online quite a lot, and of course my Descendants of Ancaria peeps. I miss those guys a lot, I was gutted when the website finally went down. And dear Lady P, I hope she's smiling down on us. I didn't realise Schot was also a beta tester, mind you we didn't have much time for talking. I remember Thorin being a tester I think. I suspect the devs and Carolyn probably have graves in both games. That is something to research perhaps. My grave is in Twinbrook Cemetary I believe. I don't have one in Underworld, but I'm credited as a tester in the booklet, as Pevil as I was too late getting my real name to them for printing. I know my Sacred 2 grave is on the wiki page. Says something about "Pevil learned that a wet mattress is not a defense against dragon breath", in reference to my custom mod title on the forums, which was something like "Keeper of the Wet Mattress". Which was itself an in-joke from Mirko. 1 1

I have EU version..is that the one yer in? Yer a Legacy Girl! gogo ps and i hereby yeeks yer arachnophobia.. yah , did Sacred ever get those right! I had the serious willy jillys with spider for years.. I guess just lately i got lazy And yah..isnt that great trivia... whos in BOTH graveyards of the game? oooh
pevil 125 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Yes, EU version. Hmm, well I dug mine out and while I could've sworn I was in it, no, not credited in the Underworld manual. There's a generic line of "thank you to all our beta testers". Looking through the names though... memories. Torsten Allard was the guy I dealt with for all the testing duties. And Krank! I forgot about beloved mod Krank! I'm credited in the Sacred 2 manual under Moderators, along with dear DarkEagle, erialc, FrostElfGuard, Knuckles, Nightwolfe and ThorinOakshield I might have to dust the old discs off and go grave hunting again. Keep notes who is in what games! 1

I didnt know there was credits for moderators in Sacred 2 from the SIF! I know all those names, we played online, and theyre members here, heck, Erialc could possibly have been one of our first Admins! lol, oooh, the chuckles me and Schot would have late night over schemes for some game we were hosing... a mafia game I think? In those days we were we had "D.A.R.K'... site sponsored clans... Ogame, Ogame Tier 2, Mafia game, and some others, gosh I dont remember now... but I feel like having a reminisce and reading all the life from those days: https://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/forum/19-new-and-general-gaming/ Pev, was it just in the game manuals? Would it be in the digital manuals as well? If you're in the manual would Carolyn have put you in the game credits that everyone boots up these days? It's like you've been famously digitized ...like in Tron! gogo
pevil 125 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Yeah grumpy ginger cat I think she had, but Krank was really sweet, you're right I remember you guys having your other D.A.R.K games. DA also had other games. I used to play Guild Wars 2 with them. I'm actually still in the guild, but very few of us ever log on there now. It's sad, they were a wonderful bunch of people. I particularly remember Dags and his crazy bush stories, particularly a very touching one about a rat (kangaroo rat maybe?) that befriended him. I've never looked in the digital manuals, nor paid attention to the in-game credits. I would assume the digital manuals are the same as the printed ones. I do love that my name is in there, it feels special. I know most people don't look at credits (me included), but for me it was just lovely to be recognised and acknowledged by the devs, and makes me miss the old days of the internet where you got involved in things because you were known, and were useful, not because you paid £5 for 'early access' or were a streamer giving them free advertising! I was talking to my friend a little while ago, who is a gamer. I can't remember how we got onto it but I mentioned I had my grave in a game from back before streamers etc and he was really impressed by it! I didn't see it as such a big deal but he was genuinely star struck 1

I remember breathing in a harried, nervous gulping breath, trying to figure out how many smileys to put at the end of my post … how to sign .. gogoblender or gogo.. for my first post... about a sandwich i think! I had no idea what the game was about really...but just adored all this speaking happening on the SIF.. adventure, drama, the game... of which I played so little until we disccovered HardCore...then, everything changed!! I'm so happy with this graves and credits "project" could be you're right.. only Caroine Hacker was on both books? ahh, Beta Testers... SO PRIVLLEGED back then...omgod.. im beta tasting... what better title to have than such a marvellous unbelievably awesome thing to read and hear about to someone like me... this game and its incredible community just had me swooning.... you're so lucky you are in those credits.. i'm jealous pevy!! Even years later now, what 20 years ...I tell people that... this strange thing called Sacred has... omgod, as Schot says it...become our life's work whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa gogo 1
