Yeh.. I heard about it earlier.. The news kinda floored me. Damn.. People his age should NOT be dying.
Still in shock over this. The situation kinda reminds me of how the death of old Soviet era bosses were reported.
Day 1: Comrade Breznyev has a bad cold. He is not feeling well.
Day 2: Comrade Breznyev has died from his cold. Comrade Andropov is now in charge.
Later....
Comrade Andropov has a cold. He is not feeling well.
Comrade Andropov has died from his cold....

OK.. This is some seriously BAD news.. but post it, I will..
Seems Monty Oum is currently in the hospital and they're saying they don't know if he will recover.
NO word on what's going on with him.
Here's the link to the full story...
It also seems they've established a fund to help with his expenses.. There's a link on the linked page with the means to donate...

I have restarted my seraphim for the 5th time already. I kept messing up. I dunno, I think to myself "I will just be a Exalted seraphim" But when I reach level 6, I started using up Celestial light runes and other CAs.
I just want to use every skill of the seraphim (Like what I did in Sacred gold) any time I want. But the question is, When I take up all of the Aspect focus skills for the tree aspects, will this be an advantage in the later part of the game?
I wont need the bargaining skill due to the Baance.txt editing (Thank God, I saved 2 Skill slots for this )
Well.. The simple answer - taking all 3 focus skills takes up 3 skill slots.
Advantage - if you're dumping points in regularly into those skills, it reduces the cooldown time for the combat arts covered under that aspect. Which is good. Especially if you eat runes to boost the power of those CAs.
Disadvantage - it takes up 3 slots - slots that could be used for another skill that could be beneficial to your character's development.

I woul love to raise some of those giants rabbits for meat, but I am afraid I would be condemned by most of society here and hunted down like frankensteins monster for doing that...
Delta!
NAH.. Not by most of society.. Only by militant Vegans.
Any one who feels that "shame you are gonna kill your poor bunny rabbit and eat it? That is terrible!" And then they will come with their silly(understated) arguments like "will you eat your cat/dog/parrot/hamster/etc? Well it is the same thing really!"
I won't be bothered by their remarks really. Because I will know where my food came from and what it consumed and how it lived...
Delta!
Yeh.. I had 2 Militant Vegans on my facebook page a while back. Bloody annoying. The whole "Meat is Murder" thing was getting out of hand. SO.. I came up with a plan... I counter posted this:
The one Vegan who spoke and read English had a hissy fit, called me ALL manner of names and unfriended me instantly.. ROFL. The other one is still on my friend list - tho she is Italian and her English comprehension sucks. Her Meat Is Murder themed posts have mostly gone away and she is now more into defeating animal abuse. Like finding homes for cats and dogs. The critters she tries to help are in Italy - and getting them to the US is a bit too expensive.. but I support her actions.

Just gonna chime in here. I recently got an upgrade as far as laptops go. It's a Lenovo unit, an Ideapad S510 Touch.
This one comes with a Core I3 dual core chip running at 1.7 GHz. 6 GB of RAM, Windows 8.1 on a 500 GB HDD. It's got an Intel HD Graphics chip set.. And in addition to all of the usual laptop stuff - it's got a touch screen as well.
This unit is off-lease, and has been refurbed with a clean copy of 8.1 installed. I got lucky - got it for 250 Euro (give or take). Average price now is a bit higher on Ebay, going for around $500 USD. (450 Euro)
Not entirely 100% sure how well D3 would play on this, but Warcraft III plays very smoothly. OK.. maybe not the best comparison.. LOL But the numbers are there.

Be vewy vewy quiet, we're hunting vewy warge wabbits..
Ya know... Bugs Bunny is rather tall for a rabbit... He MUST be one of these oversized wabbits.. And if that's the case Elmer Fudd is a midget.

Speaking of the Dwarf,
I remember trying him out (never played him) and he starts at a crash site. Was this explained?
Was he trying to escape something? (Resulting in him being the last of his kind; His other family/etc died?)
Nope.. No explanation.
I don't know why and where he was flying (didn't play the Main Quest far), but it seams that Act 1 video was him having a dream vision while he was in flight.
Then again he might have just ran out of gas and the vision came to him as he was out on the ground.
There isn't anything to say what happened to him. Not even in the Underworld Campaign when he meets his deceased brethren.
The vision you speak of is common to all of the classes. There isn't anything to say when the vision hit the Dwarf - was it while he was still in flight? or after he crashed? All we know about his origins is what we've been given - he is what he is and moves forward from there.
Now... That said.. I do have a theory.. Someone or something tore open a portal and thrust our Dwarven hero and his flying machine through time - to a point from where there were Dwarves running loose on Ancaria to a point in the far future where they no longer exist as a race.

Sacred 1 cant tell anything about Sacred 2, because they were released in reverse order. But I don't think the Bad Ending in Sacred 2 is canon - there would be obvious holes in the world left from THAT ending.
Also, one thing that made me think is why was the Seraphim the only one that was retained in Sacred 1.
The Seraphim is the poster girl and mascot of the series. That's why she is also in that other game we do not mention.
As for game to game classes... In Sacred 1 the dryads are still there, as enemies. And the dwarves haven't came out yet in Sacred 2 (use the log to read the books you find). The elves are still elves. Humans are humans.
>>I really did not understand that (or maybe coz I skimmed id xD)
Short version: lazy mages took the jobs of scientists.
Actually.. The Dwarves DO make an appearance in Sacred 2, sort of. In the Human territory, on the west side, there's that merchant in the Grunwald forest who wants you to clear the way to a certain cave. He will tell you that there's possible traces of a Dwarven civilization in the cave. If you go into said cave, and kill the dragon (the first you meet in the game) and go all the way to the back end of the cave, there are two doors - both sealed with magic. Look at those doors - they have a dwarven design on them - an axe.
It would seem something nasty happened to the Dwarven race before the events of Sacred 2. In Sacred 1 with the Underworld expansion installed, one lone Dwarf appears out of apparently nowhere... He appears near what seems to be a crashed helicopter-like vehicle without much in the way of memory of who he is or how he got there.
Later on when playing the actual Underworld campaign, you later run into a Dwarven cemetery with numerous angry undead Dwarves who do not take kindly to being disturbed by grave robbers.
As for the other classes...
The High Elves from Sacred 2 seem to have split into multiple camps. There are Ice Elves, Dark Elves and Wood Elves in Sacred 1. The events following Sacred 2 seem to have split them into at least two camps (Good and Evil).
The Dryads are also of Elven origin. It would seem they suffered a similar fate as the Dwarves as they are also located in the Underworld campaign. However, they seem to still be alive and kicking when you meet them...
Humans seem to be the dominant race in Sacred 1. The High Elves and their dominance seem to have ended between the two game releases.
The Seraphim also seem to be on a serious decline in Sacred 1. Except for the few hanging out near the Seraphim Library, there don't seem to be any of them about in Sacred 1.
Oh.. And as far as the Dark ending of Sacred 2 being cannon.. That really depends on what the big blue being generated by the Great Machine does with his new found powers..

To add to what Silver Fox posted...
I think most of the class quests were adequately done - the only class that I think got the sticky end of the proverbial lollipop was the Dragon Mage. His class quest is over when he visits Merkill...
Kind of a letdown. Maybe the devs would have expounded on that a bit and made it more interesting - but they kinda went out of business before anything could be done.
In addition to that.. If you look at how class quests are structured, one quests chains into the next.
Quest A tells you to go kill so and so, get such and such. Quest B then tells you to go visit NPC B. NPC B tells you to do so on and so forth then go visit NPC C. And so on till the end of the chain. In order to add new quests, you would have to break one of the existing quests and have it point to another NPC or another target. Then have the new quest point to the previous quest - to get it back on track.
More work than just setting up an NPC somewhere and have him give all classes a task to do.

Wouldn't it be easier to just make the set a SW quest reward? The Christmas island has a Christmas set, so it is doable in theory.
Also, for all the new Comunity Patch quests developed for the game, there are no new class specific quests. Why is that?
Yeh.. It could be doable - as you say - in theory.
But in order for that to happen, there would need to be 6 other equally epic looking sets that would need to be created, not to mention an epic long series of quests that would give the class related gear as a reward.
Then again, IIRC, the Christmas sets all looked great as a seasonal thing, but without exception, the gear all sucked rotten eggs when it came to stats and such. Maybe something you could wear to take a pic you could share... But not something you'd go out of your way to wear going into battle.. Well.. not unless you had a death wish or something.
As for class specific quests... Not entirely sure there really needed to be more added to those. The quest chains were pretty much complete I think, not much more that could be added to them. Not to mention, there's a finite amount of game space. While it may seem like you can endlessly add new content, there are limits to what and how much can be added.

I dunno. The battle scenes were pretty good. In addition to all that, the music positively ROCKED!
I need that mini gun. Really.. I need that mini gun.
Meanwhile, yes, the whole attack thing was contrived to get Ironwood and his minions to guard the city. It's a common military tactic. Attack at point A to divert attention from point B.
And yeh.. Jaune finally got himself a kill. I think Pyrrah was quite relieved to see that happen. Did you notice how Jaune sorta had a tingling from the "Force"? He diverted his team from their mission to support team RWBY... Thinking the boy's finally growing a pair.

Looks like we got a new minion in the latest episode.. Interesting hair color brown and pink. Not something found in nature. LOL.
Finally see Oobleck pull his weight in the fight. Er.. Interesting weapon he's got there.. Throws fireballs... Tho not quite sure what the point of having the dog get hit by one of Oobleck's blasts turning him into a projectile was... At least the pooch didn't get hurt. Think the dog is made of rubber...
Meanwhile Weiss goes up against an escapee of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Whee! Fun!
And a new mystery woman arrives... Who is she..? Whose side is she on...?
LOTS going on in this week's episode!

Well gogo... I for one don't care what the armour looks like.
Yeah right, lol...you don't have to be held captive looking at his gilded, golden bee-hind as he saunters over to kill stuff with his two-hander which for some reason seems to really give his hips some really strange moves!
gogo
I dunno.. Those golden undies remind me of an overfull diaper..

I thought the dwarves were just sitting underground in Sacred 2 and came out after the events of the game. Then in 2 millennia between the games they got exterminated. Otherwise the last dwarf is an immortal.
As for the TG PC, do remember that he was buried alive for who know how long. The starter temple got covered in dirt and vegetation to the point of trees growing on top of it. And in the human region the crazy test dragons in the labs were a thousand years old. My guess would be, the TG got buried at the start of the great war.
On the other hand, the newer TGs are well maintained and functional. Every store has all the parts: heads, arms, legs, feet, torsos, batteries. Have any of you considered building several TG just out of the parts alone?
The only problem would be their T-Energy batteries, as the endings of the game removes most of the T-Energy from the world.
So there are 2 reasonable theories where the TGs are in S1 and S3.
1 TGs moved again, somewhere more isolated.
2 TGs are in hibernation, locked away in huge vault. The Sheraphims don’t want to wake them up, believing TGs will contest them for world power, or at the least annoy everyone by going through everything like raccoons.
Hmm. Don't recall seeing anything in the game regarding the Dwarves coming out AFTER the events of Sacred 2...
However, I do recall in Underworld, there's some lore having to do with the Dwarves being sucked into the Underworld by Anducar. There is no actual reference to WHEN that happened.
As to the last dwarf, our hero from Sacred 1 Underworld, I think there may be other explanations as to why he, alone survived. If you recall the opening story, he crash lands in some sort of flying machine that looks sort of like a helicopter of some sort and is somewhat clueless as to where he is.
As such, I have a theory of what happened and how... Time Travel! The dwarf came from a point in time before Sacred 2... Back when Dwarves still existed... And somehow, through some miracle, he got transported through time and space, only to wind up at the start of Sacred 1.
TGs: For what it's worth, our hero TG does a bang up job of wiping out most of the TGs in Ancaria on his class quest. The rest are mopped up when you get to the last part of the wastelands and the great machine complex. Given the hero TG is, for all intents and purposes the last survivor, and his physical state, it's likely he's fallen apart or at least, broken down.

Oh my.. A Chihuahua!?!?! I gotta get this game!
<SMACK!> OK.. slapped myself.. MUCH better..!
Dwarves.. You're not likely going to find too many. This is supposed to be a sequel to Sacred 1 and as such, the Dwarves had become extinct - except for the one in the Underworld Expansion. In fact, they were long extinct in the era of Sacred 2 which is a prequel to Sacred 1.
Temple Guardians - given they didn't exist in Sacred 1, it can be presumed they too were extinct Don't forget, the TG in Sacred 2 wasn't looking too swift at the start of the game. Coughing, wheezing, falling over. etc..

There's a light bulb made originally by Westinghouse that's been burning for - get this - over 100 years now.
It even has it's own website... It seems that bulb thus far has outlasted no less than 3 web cams and one UPS....
Things that make you go "hmmm"
I mean they could make a light bulb that lasts 100+ years, meanwhile they sell us craptastic bulbs that drop dead after a few thousand hours. Of course a light bulb that lasts 100+ years wouldn't make Westinghouse, (or anyone else) much in the way of money...

Well, as I was the one who found and reported said quote...
IIRC, the point in the game was at the mist of miasma where it first popped up for me. I do not recall that soundbyte pop up anywhere else in the game - and we all know there are TONS of undead roaming Ancaria proper. There's plenty of them roaming the central part of the elf territory..
-
Yeh.. I see what you mean. It was pretty weak - mostly filler. The girls did a great job of clarifying their answers - and Oobleck seems to be pleased by their responses. So yeah.. that issue is resolved.
The whole underground city bit... Meh.. Seems a bit contrived. However, Oobleck's explanation could have been done with a bit less haste.. Could have added an extra 30 seconds to the run time and had him do it at less than warp factor 19...
Bacon encrusted Burger and other bacon inventions....

lol I think you missed the joke. He's saying he's eaten SO much bacon, he should have been dead back long before he was born...
That said, I don't always trust doctors and their maths. If half their maths were accurate, the human race should have been extinct a long time ago.
The recipe sounds good tho..
