I love Nightfall and REALLY love my angel. Paragons are unique in that they really shine in large groups when the entire team can be effected by her/his Chants, Shouts, and Echoes. Paragons also build adrenline like a Warrior and have a decent direct attack options. The armor is second best to only the Warrior..the armor she is wearing is base AR 80. Paragons are not a great solo class, but an awesome team charatcer...which is perfect since you are always in a team! The Sunspear motto "You never fight alone."

Are those wings part of an animation?

That is a Chant animation. The chant in particular is Anthem of Flame..at her leadership level...for the next 10 seconds all allies in earshot range, the next attack skill they use causes their target to burn for 3 seconds.
