  1. Casting BFG and then use a pole arm, sneaky... I like it. :)

Augmint, I think the idea here is to use Archangel's Wrath simply as a delivery system for LL% against bosses. It probably will not be very helpful against mobs.

Yeah, I knew the OP was talking about strictly boss runs, I just wanted to try out a Polearms seraphim as I've got a level 118 Shadow warrior and figured she could use the (LL % polearms) hand me downs.

I think I may go with Warding energy lore as my 10th skill, never used it/ explored it at all.

  2. Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I figured chance to hit mods are gonna be useful. I'm at level 37 - I took celestial focus (or Lore?), for radiant pillar and healing - hallowed restoration. Read on Roosters immortality thread how good it was ( playing pre add-on). Though I prob could/should have taken warding energy Lore.

Mostly using pelting strikes, flaring novas and pillars on early levels, figured Archangels wrath is gonna be more useful later difficulties.

    Skills I've taken @ level 37

    Tactics

    EP

    Armour

    Concentration

    Constitution

    Rev Focus

    Celest Lore

    Polearms

Gonna take Rev Lore for casting speed of AW

    10th - I'm not sure - prob. spell resistance.

  3. Grim dawn sounds interesting - but am I right in that you can only get it by an online DL through steam?

Also, to the OP - how far did you get in LOKI? only got up to about level 25 - 30, it had some BIG drawbacks - not th eleast the game freezing on me and the crummy save system, but the combat arts and spells were pretty cool.

  4. Bearded dwarphim:) :twitch: Noooooooooo!

Per Scott's suggestion: if they go even further back in time to the "first" seraphim, then perhaps they could give her a total angelic look and feel? That is with proper wings and the ability to fly (flying like the Demon in S1). CA to summon other angelic beings into combat like the SW skelies, or even just a buff like Rotating Blades/Angels of Light. Focus more on the power of nature with lightning and water.

I'll admit to not liking the seraphim. The idea above has alot of merit - A flying stomp build ala the daemon would be very nice. More lightning would be nice, water combat arts would be good too.

  5. I'm playing Sacred 1 due to my video card dying. May get into Sacred 2 later due to the CM patches.

IN terms of gameplay I'd rate Original over Sacred 2 - esp. storyliner and bosses. Character and combat art wise I think they are about the same. Dryad and Inquisitor (Clustering maelstrom, corpse explosion)were great, never really liked the Seraphim or Temple guardian.

  6. I'd like to see maybe different combat arts more equivalent to the Inquisitor - eg instead of undead souls, maybe she could have suns/ orbs ala Sacred's companions of the woods. or instead of clustering maelstrom a launching style explosion or pillar.

Never been a fan of BFG to be honest.

A Dagger stare kind of combat art would be nice - radiation perhaps?

EDIT - wouldn't be opposed to having her weild a whip style weapon too.

  7. Personally I'd like there to be more characters - I really liked the fact there was 8 in Sacred UW. I'd love to see 10

I think having NIOB level only content would be good. A NIOB or Platinum level island?, NIOB level uniques an dbosses, quests only available to a certain % SB ( 90 % and over?).

better bonuses from set items - eg like the original sacred with secret damage.

Also in the pC Game LOKI you could give use items you didn't want or were for different characters by giving them to your diety( and gaining powers, so you didn't lug around alot of junk)- maybe Sacred 3 could have some sort of bonus from selling unique items. An inbuilt bargaining boost? or, gain a unique merchant?

And like always more items, spells, weapons, etc...

    more varied potions too.

maybe a "lure" potion that attracts mobs?

Also a color mod for items would be nice too.

  8. ahh, I remember the location and it being on Nightwolfe site. Bummer that I play single player.

I was thinking about getting one for my poision mist build and using it vs Sakkaras.

UPDATE - Playing my STOMP Daemon build in Underworld I managed to get this sword whilst fighting Hell golems - so it's not a quest specific item as listed in the wiki. Sad part was I died soon after.

Question - is it possible to die and still retain your Survival bonus? I got killed by Cerebrpods and Hell golems and I still had 80% SB - not sure if I got resurrected by Life leech, cos' in my stats I had one death but I'm not sure if it was before I exported my character into UW campaign. Confused :Just_Cuz_21:

  9. Well.... 90% of that was "training"... created the toon, ran to Bellvue and stood across the river from a goblin for ~40 hours or so (almost 2 days).

In the other 50-ish hours that I've 'actually' played her, I got 4 or 5 percent.

Of couse, I've died a lot but I keep the SB by re-loading whenever I die, even if it's been 2+ hours since I saved last. I have learned to save whenever a 'good' or wanted set piece or unique does drop... but only because I lost some stuff, too

That's a nice technique ..... gonna leave Sacred on my PC overnight - see how much SB I get.

  10. Got a question about Dwarven Steel CA. Does the amount of physical resistance piercing decrease as you invest more into it? What's a good level to stop?

Sorry about the time to reply. =)

Dwarven Steel's physical reduction increases as you learn additionals Runes, although there is no way to set the physical resistance to 0. You can stop upgrading this CA when it reduces the opponent's resistance to 20%.

Your most important CA is Vehemence, but will only be effective at higher levels and with low regeneration time. So, there is no cap for this particular CA, however I don't recommend to let the regeneration time above 2.5 secs.

Giving this a run - at level 44 - close to finishing bronze.

Got a thodrans hammer - serious damage. Liking this build. Just want to add that at earlier levels 2 handed weapons cost alot, and that yellow potions are really handy.

  11. Hmmm I understood. But I have 2 small questions.Cant I get any rare item from drop only:)Some items are unlocking at merchant only?

You can find rare items from drops (& set items) even without having enhanced perception - just do alot of quests, explore alot of the map, and try and kill fast.

High level Bargaining lets you get rings with exactly what you want - e.g its hard to find a ring with Deathblow and plus all skills from drops whereas a high level bargainer can find one with teleporting from merchant to merchant. The items the merchant sells change when you go to different ones.

Also you can't get uniques or legendary items from merchants.

  12. Quick question - does casting your buff whilst having regen penalty from buffs reduced % items ( eg Rancuils dark flame) and then switching weapons give you the regen advantage? ( hope I worded that correctly)

    Yes

    :)

So unyeilding wall is handy then. Another question - has anyone (with a bargainer) gotten a ring or amulet with Plus combat arts and % reduced regen penalty from buffs?

  13. Trying this out in Gronkors cave with a shadow warrior. Fortunately I've got shoulder plates with all channel damage miti and 2/3 of the armour is magic, plus 30% Spell resistance and plus 14 skills. No problems with anything except getting stunned. Gotten a few rings - nothing special - my EP ain't high enough. The ice crystals are really annoying, but there are also plenty of relic & potion drops too.

You can sometimes go to the next level in the cave and get 2 shamans, come back and there'll be 1 -2 shamans still there. I think I'll make a habit of farming this cave along with orc cave

  14. Hello,

I am following Podgie the Bearbarian guide. I am level 74 (Platinum, single):

    Astral Lord Lore (74)

    Astral Lord Focus (74)

    Concentration (1)

    Ancient Magic (1)

    Blacksmith (74)

    Enhanced Perception (some points)

Armor Lore (some points, about 20)

I am using only Spectral Hand, Skeletal Fortification and

Shadow Veil. To gather mobs I can turn on Nether Allegiance. All points are going to Stamina.

I have 3 free slots for skills and I am not sure what to take:

    1. Malevolent Ch. or Death W. Focus? Or both?

To support Spectral Hand: Rousing Command or Augment Guidon + Killing Spree? Or all of them?

    2. Riding, Speed Lore (support Spectral Hand with +% attack) or Alchemy?

    3. Damage Lore, Combat Discipline (Does Combat Discipline raise damage of Skeletal Fort?)

    And last question:

Should I raise Blacksmith above 75 points? Or Master it, leave it and raise with + all skills?

    Thank u for reply,

    have a nice day.

Speed Lore won't affect spectral hands speed - the modifiers are in the wiki somewhere.

Leave Blacksmith at 75 - you can raise it alot with relics and at high levels you can get alot of Plus skills items. Also at higher levels ( starting from 100?) you get 5 points free when you level up.

I'd take combat discipline (extra damge, regen bonus) and either DW Focus or Malev' champion.

  15. Quick question - does casting your buff whilst having regen penalty from buffs reduced % items ( eg Rancuils dark flame) and then switching weapons give you the regen advantage? ( hope I worded that correctly)

    Yes

    :)

Nice. I got a few items to try out then.

Also gonna add that amulets / rings with aspects ( eg Cab Voodoo aspect + 5) will work as well (giving a bonus to all arts/ buff).

  16. Have you tried to start the game by double-clicking the savegame?

In that case sacred2 changed it's registry keys to trash and the game won't load anymore. All you can do is uninstalling the game, deleting the registry keys manually so that nothing from sacred2 is left behind, and then reinstalling the game.

    CU Marcus

I think I did double click on it after I tried to put the file in the Ascaron saved files section.

Ended up just re - installing the game. Made sure to copy all my saved files elsewhere. Thank god I didn't lose my NIOB Shadow warrior.

  17. Was it only the save games you fiddled with Augmint? If so I would suggest moving out all of your save games from the Save game folder and try starting with an empty save game folder. Just be sure to save your characters in some other folder while you test. :)

    I'll give that a try.

I don't think I changed any files - just renamed the save89 to save31 - I had 30 characters previously saved. IIRC I tried to open the saved file - it then tried to load a.msi file? which meant I had to use my Sacred 2 disc.

  18. Hoping someone can help. I tried to use the Bolting terror saved file posted by Schot? IIRC.

After fiddling (putting it in the saved games directory, changing the save number, etc)around I now can't load Sacred 2 - I'm getting the following error message.

    Error#3

    Function : Plugin::load

    Description : Error : LoadingLibrary failed: ./Plugin_theora.dll

    File: D:/projects/sacred2.master-patch2/Orc/System/System/pluginMgr.cpp

    Line :72

    Playing 2.43

Hoping someone has had something similar and can help.

If I need to re install sacred 2 that's OK I geuss - just hoping I can still use my saved char' as I just got my first NIOB SW and have 3 other Platinum char'
