  1. @ GravityHug - Sorry about the initial reply. I first thought about Sacred Ancaria campaign, after I posted it I realised Underworld did seem to have some different death/kill animations.

    The hard hit crit damage might be the key.

    There are alot of little things still to explore - theres info on Nightwolfes site I never saw here (no dis to darkmatters)

     

    There's a youtube site (unf. its in russian with some english title names) worth checking out. Don't have the time currently to really play Sacred - the nostalgia will kick in eventually.

    EDIT - actually I think in Underworld there are some enemies which explode without the gore - skeletons, crabs, not sure about the snake like chokers

    Multi-player advice but some of it applies to Single.

    Dagger stare & split would help, +find additional potions could help you get more mentor potions and high SB % is crucial.

    Farming the sakkara demons helps - highest xp monster and dagger stare gives poison damage. Farming high density areas when you've saved mentor potions helps as well - Orc cave, Rim/dark elf valley, ghost cave - good when you have % undead damage., tristam village too.

    Underworld campaign has some really good areas to level up in comparison to Ancaria campaign.

  4. Armour Lore modifier unlocks alot of different bonuses. Armour Lore mastery (75 hard points) will unlock damage mitigation % and reduce detrimental effects %.

    Flix covered Warding energy lore modifiers, Enhanced perception unlocks XP bonus per kill %, and chance to find valuables. Might lock a couple more bonuses, but at a geuss non armour lore modifiers unlock only 3 - 4 specific things.

    The modifiers are good but you really wanna go for +skill bonuses and + combat art bonuses so you get less regen penalty.

  5. Been playing since 2010? - it took a while to find this forum. Not knowledgable compared to guys who've put up builds but I've played a few builds posted here - Daemon Soaring demon/infernal power build, BM thunderboy, BM - flame spiral, POison mist dark elf.

    l've played Sacred with Sacred 2 on and off, and of the two its far easier to jump straight into the original sacred.

    Only played SP as well. Sacred servers went down a few years ago AFAIK - most people mention tunngle? and hamachi for online play.

    OK from what it says on the wiki its a fixed amount for full set bonus ghost meadow and heroic courage so it doesn't seem to calculate it from runes read, the daemon is the only one to have set bonus combat art based on runes read. Maybe the highest set item level determines HC?

  7. 1. Unfortunately can;t properly answer as the highest level character I have is level 115 and trading around 210. But yes you should get 340 points and it should still provide a boost . However in Sacred 2 there was a cap with bargaining where going more than 4 x your level made no difference.

     

    2. Might be that HC from raanes full set bonus is capped? I.e based on highest item level? There's a few tool tip bugs in both sacred games. There were a few sets that gave permanent buffs - the battle mage had a set with perm. ghost meadow but I can't recall how it calculated the spell level.

    Split is awesome. I'll use battle mage as an example - say I have 10% split and use ring of ice which hits multiple times. Get a big group of monsters and EACH HIT there's a 10% chance they will split in 2 with half life from the moment they split. So a big group can give alot more experience. Basically you want to use combat arts with multiple hits like poison mist, ring of ice, poison tendrils, dagger stare, etc

    Got it from sacred dark bloods about 3 or 4 years ago. I think I only ever used it once - was trying an ebolts seraphim build.

    1. Wow. So my build is somehow closely resembles Rooster's. It's good to know that 10 years of playing Sacred on and off is not for nothing, lol.

    2. Yes, I do place different elemental weapons in each slot. To be specific: 1st for Physical, 2nd for Fire, 3rd for Magic, 4th for Poison, and 5th for vs. Undead.

    3. Yes, I have done Braverock's dual merchant quest and I did shop there regularly (switching back and forth between merchant to refresh their stock). I was actually surprised that this is actually intended and not a bug, I was pretty damn sure it was a bug lol. However, I haven't been shopping since late Gold because I'm kinda lazy.

    3. Yes, I do have a trading suit. It gives me +98 Trading total. Is this too low?

    4. Perhaps because I'm playing Single, but Lorgar's Amulet is EXTREMELY VERY RARELY DROPPED here. The last time I got one was in Silver and its stats are pitiful now. Any recommendation for farming it?

    5. I forgot to mention that I haven't upgraded my arms since mid Gold. I just did (after about 20 hours+ shopping, not in a row of course). Now my Fire arms do around 50k (HH) and 140k (FotG) against weakness. A substantial increase, but very time consuming as well.

    6. I keep each of my arms single elemental respective to their base element. I believe this is easier to control and manage. Should I mix the elemental damage (add Fire to Poison, etc)?

    6. I guess it's time to convert a chest worth of runes I've been keeping lol. I'm also gonna increase my other 3 skills as well, thanks for the suggestion.

     

    All in all, I was VERY surprised that I miss only in a few aspect, given that I have never read any guide and always play Single.

     

    What intrigued me the most is Trading. Is Trading really the only way to get a good gear from Gold and above? Granted, I'm gonna look further into the forum for this particular skill, but is it possible to get OMGSOAWESUM gears from killing things (I don't really like shopping)?

     

    And oh, I no longer need to increase Weapon Lore past 100 mark? That's 11 points gone... Do you know any way to reset skill points? If not, then well, guess I'll live with it then. Should I only raise Concentration and Constitution to only 100 mark as well?

    I've got a level 110 gladiator with a 163 trading suit. HH does around 46 to 75K damage, 39% crit chance (fadalmars axe).

    Trading is boring but socketing jewelry with +combat art and regen special move on the same item is a huge boost. Plus getting defence on amulets and gear is hard without shopping. I also use Combo runes alot.

    Forgot raanes full set gives heroic courage. I think if you get HC high enough you can get regen lower than duration - plus when you have a full set some it is usually low level. But the set bonuses are nice.

     

    I wouldn't mix elemental damage - maybe fire and undead damage.

    Best area go get drops IMO is to farm the shaddar rims.

    RE Weapon lore. I wouldn't cap it at 100, just that I'd try and put more points in armour, aglity and parrying. My gladiator has +37 weapon lore without making it a priority, you can shop for more but putting points in defensive skills and get damage from +HH/fotg bonuses and regen special move bonuses would be more useful IMO.

    There are mods around to change skill points and attributes but your build is fine.

    is probably the best guide I've read. I'd put some points into armour, try get some lorgar amulets and get good weapons with elemental damage - at higher levels damage comes from what monsters are least resistant too than just tooltip/displayed damage.

    Lastly I'd eat way more heroic courage runes.

     

    Edit - I'd put more points into armour, agility and parrying - once weapon lore is over 100 it really has diminishing returns plus you can easily get it on items with trading skill. Damage seems a bit low but if you shop for jewelry to socket then you could get much more.

  10. Swamp region is pretty much top of everyone's best place to farm. Orc cave is good, undead hordes around thylisium, jungle is good but garema champions are annoying. grumwald and ruka are good too. I'm very fond of farming the forest guardian for gold and set items

    Regarding EP - only playing fallen angel but full bonus chance to find valuables % only displayed properly with mastery.
    Apart from a few things like tinworas, officers sabres and other good items most of the best stuff is from shopping. There was a thread about nameless guardian boss runs with high EP somewhere if you look for it. Personally haven't picked EP on most of my builds.

    Your right to just use a level 5 shopper as opposed to level 2. You do know that in thylisium if you go to a merchant then go into the sewer and come back out it resets the merchants stocks right?

    It sounds like you teleporting to get to merchants. Sorry if I've misunderstood.

  12. Think I might give this build a go again, maybe make it a hybrid of sorts (flame form & wall of flames?). I wonder how well choir + Call of death and split would work together. Dread sounds useful too if you are rounding up mobs, good reduction of their attack values.

    Just a warning - Aarnums 2H is awesome - esp. trapping ranged archers - but it's hard if you play solo to get the full set. You'll be very lucky to get the full set before level 90.

     

    If you do choose axe lore plus sheild, then you can get thaines axe easily (3 sockets, fire and weapon lore boosts).

  14. On the poison mist guide by knuckles it says dexterity increases trap damage and Nightwolfe's site has dexterity increasing ranged damage

    Sacredwiki doesn't mention dexterity affecting ranged damage, so I think it may be due to 2.28 changes?

    but it seems like a minor boost.

    I've played a poison mist build (ver 2.24) up past level 100 and physical regen is the way to go. Higher level combat arts and lower regen are way above what damage boost attributes can give.

  15. Welcome to the forum. You can get set items and uniques from champions, bosses and quests (you can very rarely get them from chests too).

    Bosses like the nameless guardians, forest guardians and dragons will give a higher chance for uniques, higher quality yellow items and even legendaries.

     

    There is a small cave that has 4 champions orcs. They give good XP and item drops. Kill them fast, and they respawn when you enter again.
