mmmh, I am going to keep this short! As I am in peril atm! I just lost my level 45 DW Seraphim build in HC to a Harpy Demon approx. 1.5 hour ago.
Regards to Loco with helping me through this loss!
The Specifics are as follows:
In an unknown starting chain quest, within the Cursed Forest. [this quest ends at the lower to middle part of the region] At this point on the Ancaria map, lies a Crypt!
This crypt at level 42, starting! Offers crazy experience. and DROPS! When I say crazy experience., what I really mean is...3 hard lvls in just under 30 minutes with mentors going full...the drops are random I am certain...
At the end of this chain quest...I am assuming! There lies a quest named, "to kill a Demon".
This Harpy looking Demon, in fact looks like a winged Seraphim, 2 hit killed my tanked platinum socketed DW, HUGE thanks to Loco for everthing!
2 hit kill you may be asking? First hit 3/4 life gone! Second hit...happens within the first second of contact!
Totally caught off guard! This death happened in under 1 second real time, honestly!

P.S. This happened all on only Silver Free Play!
EDIT: the chain quest in question is called, "The Lost Crypt". The mini-boss/champ quest in question is called, "Death of a Demon" Thanks to Loco for confirmation.

Still locks up, but not nearly as often. I couldnt find the perfect resolution match, took the closest to what was offered. 
Thanks for the advice! I'll be ready to play HC soon. Finishing up campaign, almost at The Nameless.
I'll PM you again when I'm ready so you [if you would] teach me the in's and out's of multiplayer. Like how to find servers the Matters hangs out on and matching up Character name to Account names, etc...?

Game locks up at random. Example: I have managed to aquire 2x Boneslicers in 15 attempts, doing the Undead Legion chain quest.
Any pointers? Is this normal? When I start task manager, it says, Not Responding.

So you got your game and installed and playing and ... all is cool!

As for your build and learning the ropes. please don't hesitate to ask questions and if you find yourself checking out HC on closed net I hope we run into you so we can get a chance to play together.
My bad on the [D.A.R.K] server names. Had no idea really. Thought it would be an EZ way to find me.
As far as build goes. Cannot unlock Duel Wield. I chose in order as build describes. Got up to choosing Sword Weapons. Cannot unlock Duel however, the game wants me to choose Ranged Weapons first. Then Duel Wield, seems like a waste of skill? So, I skipped Duel Wield and went with Exalted Warrior Focus. Until I can figure out how to choose Duel I'll stay true to path. At level 18 I'll unlock Concentration etc. etc. etc.
Save the Duel Wield all is well, at level 10 now. Just finished the Levi Tax Quest. Along with many side quests getting there. Read only 1 of each rune as Described. Keeping Bargaining at level, basically following the guide as best as possible.
Other question, I cant figure out how to modify Pelting Strikes? I have 2 hard skill into Exalting but...no idea how to modify? Guide says once you choose Exalting, should be able to modify.

Axes or Swords? Swords, I am staying true to Blokeys build. Although the Thud sound Axes make would be enjoyable! Perhaps in a different build.

There was always much debate and arguement on the mf% to drop ratio within the known Diablo 2 LoD Universe.
Very comforting to read the Sacred 2 community has a much better understanding on this very important game related issue! For once, I feel I can believe what I read and not merely toss it aside as gossip!

I find that the most civil of individuals while still keeping down to earth and open minded are in fact metal heads. I wonder why exactly this is? Is it because the vast majority of music now days is basicly the same song over and over? Is it because the same show on TV has been repackaged and re labled and re released over and over under the guise of the Next new thing?
Is it because walking down any street in our communitys you cant help but feel like your in a time distortion repeating itself over and over and over because of the constant repitition of architectual design leaving no room for individuality? Is it the over saturation of archaic religion? (That being one of the main reasons we are now as dwarfed technologically as a species(look at the dark ages)) Is it because we are bombarded with news of constant terrorism? The true terrorism is happening all over the world. And whats even more disturbing is that it is accepted.
I think we are saturated by a distict lack of creativity in our current world, which in effect only serves to diminish the creativity of those who live within.
How can we expect to evolve and advance as a species in the worlds current state?
Raise your fist and be proud that you are one of the few remaining true individuals.

I mean really, how better to learn the game? Kami in HC doesnt get any more redline then that! Talk about walking on a glass roof...!

To further keep everyone up to date. I am still waiting for game to arrive via postal service. Grueling to say the least...
As I read on these forums. I have noticed a great need. A need for actual full poster size or smaller, detailed maps of Ancaria. I have the idea of taking a trip down to my local print shop. "Mails, Copy & More". There they can upload images, print detailed versions of the maps we all see here on the FDM & SacredWiki. I am curious as to how much these various maps will cost to produce, in detail, on high end museum quality parchment paper. 100mill or higher grade. These will be fantastic to have on my wall as a reference!
Just an idea for anyone interested. If the demand is there. I will further post printing options & cost.

Any updates on this build as of 04/18/10? I am curious about this build. I was going to go with soldats, Celestial Technobabe build from the starting gate. But later found out, this build requires elite gear to be invincible from the start.
This build will complement a beginner as well as find/buy the gear so said required for a Celestial Tech seraphim.
Furthermore, duel weild, if you could post up some recommendations. All I come up with are 2x low level Boneslicers, but then again, what do I know as of yet? The sabers so often talked about are non-visualy stimulating!

Incredible Dragon! I am new to Sacred 2. I found this guide very easy to read and understand. Meanwhile there is a fair amount of depth also which is easy to understand. I will be using this guide as soon as I am able to get my mount.

Found the item on ebay as you mentioned Loco. Funny, I actually searched ebay before the purchase from play-asia. At the time, there where none listed, they where all N. America format. As of 04/15/10, I found as many as 1 could want all in UK format. If the gamble comes back in a blaze. I will certainly buy the UK format off ebay!

Does a hardcopy manual / strategy guide exist anywhere? I have searched high and low online and come back empty.

Yes GoGo still waiting! Almost to the point of...well I am sure many of you know how this may feel. I may have made a mistake however. I tried to buy the full on gore version through UK amazon. Amazon kept coming back, "this product is not allowed in your region." After a few attempts, I googled more...finally found a website @ play-asia.com. They would sell me the full on gore version. I have gambled. Meaning, this version could be in English or Japanesse language. Again I only found out about the different regions and languages post my purchase. I really had no idea. My previous game: Diablo 2 LoD, one merely has to select a regional port. This regional port already has the appropriate language associated to the specific region.
In close, the gamble could be great and have English language. If it has Japanesse.... O_o. If it is O_o, how do I get a hold of the full on gore, UK version over in the United States? Not the downloadable version. I would much prefer the hard box with manual!

Hello to my new community, hopefully!
I am totally new to the D.A.R.K. Forums. Infact, totally new to Sacred 2 as well.
I will not be using an introduction guideline as I feel it takes away from creativity. Hopefully my imagination is up to the task at hand!
I live in the United States, Oregon to be more accurate. I am not a spring chicken anymore. Married with children. Work like most people, except every now and again my alter ego shows a smile in the mirror. During the day I work from 8-12 hours. The 8 hour days I have more time for my alter ego: the one who has an insatiable appetite for gameing. The 12 hour grind while during the day are long and grueling. I spend more time with my family. I call it the alter ego balance. Some may know this as: "if moma aint happy, aint nobody happy."
As a child, I loved games of all making. While in High School, I found this game called Diablo
. A different PC game based on D&D rules/guidelines. I am ashamed to say I have been stuck on this particular game for over 10 years now. Following it through its various versions, updates, patches, expansions. I only say ashamed because now I have to admit, I have had a closed eye non-visual for over 10 years. Not long ago while researching online. I had this idea...an idea I had not had in quite some time! This idea was to Google "RPG PC games". At first nothing looked all to interesting. In fact, quite boring with the same spam ideas, gamestyle, in game visuals, etc. As time went on I was considering sticking to the game I had enjoyed for so many years.
Then out of nowhere...like a bomb had gone off:
SACRED 2 ICE & BLOOD
:this simple advertisment was up on the far right of my screen. I simply left clicked the ICON.
To my amazment. Whats this? Something new and refreshing. Everything I had been looking for not really even knowing that I was looking. Afterall, if your going to leave behind so many years of enjoyment for something different and refreshing, it had better be AMAZING! Dont you agree?
A few days later, here I am...still very patiently waiting for my massive adventure to arrive via Postal Service. Spending much time on these forums, reading and trying to memorize as much as possible. Trying to grasp what it is exaclty I am about to get myself (and my family) into.

I suppose you're having problems balancing the regen times. You should be aware that this build is really tough and if you started it from scratch, you will need to gain some more levels before tackling the orcs (I'd say 35+ for silver), since level 22 is sort of low for orc area in silver. If you're playing on bronze difficulty, that's another matter - but you shouldn't have any problems with the game on bronze.
Another thing you can do is ensure you have a good equipment. Do quests, get a lot of set items, socket them with good rings and amulets. I must say that soldats' build is really, really interesting and fun to play, but it does need a good base to start it from (like good shoppers, good set items, probably a character with niobium blacksmith access, etc.).
New here to the forums and totally green to Sacred 2. However, when I saw this video, along with countless others, I was amazed by this particular video. The character is simply amazing. My first character on Sacred 2 will be this build exactly. I only have 1 serious concern. That is, the quote above. In particular "probably a character with niobium blacksmith access, etc.". As I am totally new, extremely green, starting from ground zero. This is a huge wall to hurtle. In fact, probably impossible, as I do not have access to Niobium Blacksmithing!
Any ideas or Admin help would be greatly appreciated!

Agree Spunky, she did an insane amount of damage for her level. In Bronze, the fourth Guardian had never hit me that hard, even on a critical!
