  1. It could really mean the actual Blacksmith skill. Perhaps you need it to be twice your level in Silver (or with silver items), three times your level in Gold etc...

     

    Hopefully it means that you need it to be that much over a base value, I doubt that they would require us to have Blacksmith ~2-5 times our level at higher levels (when we need all of our skill points to keep us alive).

     

     

    All those values are CONFIRMED! I did extensive testing and I can confirm mpexperience is correct. I also found a ton of other interesting information. I will update this post with all the information I've found.

  2. Did a little comparrison of on my Dual boot system Llama and it's looking like there really isn't any difference between XP and Vista. At least not on my system. In XP, highest game settings, while running through Sloeford I get an fps of 41. It's the same in Vista with the Aero style turned off. At the moment in Vista I have Sacred 2 running in one screen and posting this on another screen and the amount of ram being used is 2.15GB. Not very high at all so 4GB of ram will fix you up nicely whether your in XP or Vista. In fact since you presently have 2GB of ram I'm inclined to believe that getting 4GB in XP will make a world of difference. I'd suggest only upgrading the ram first and see what that does for you. :(

     

    I dont notice a huge hit going from Vista to XP I think it depends on how taxed for system currently is. If you arent getting max fps then going to vista will hamper it a bit, but if you get a constant say 60FPS no matter what you wont drop much going to vista.

     

    I use vista and get a constant 65-90 FPS @ 1920x1200 set to high detail. I've also yet to have a crash either,

     

    My friend on XP gets about 30FPS with almost identical system with just different video card.

  3. Ah great stuff Ayeso. I look forward to your findings. Something you might consider regarding MP_experience is that it may be in relation to the # of players on server bonus that we get.

    Here's some quick numbers I gathered for you:

     

    Level 1 Serahpim

    Bronze Level 1 Wolf kill = 14 experience

    Silver Level 1 Wolf kill = 17 experience

     

    Level 36 High Elf

    Bronze Level 38 Demon kill = 1170 experience

    Silver Level 38 Demon kill = 1462 experience

     

    Good hunting! :(

     

    there also may be other factors too.. but it looks to be around 125% BUT I think I screwed up my table and the first MP_Experience should be 125% not

    115 which would work out perfect.

    So you're joining us for a second round of Sacred. The more the merrier as they say. Will you be playing multiplayer online? I think a lot of us are on the HC servers and would be happy to see you join along in the carnage. :D As for picking out the right character.. I'm curious. Do you have a preference between melee and caster?

    I really havent decided... my best friend plays as well.. so we usually pick a good duo combo setup in 99% of the games we play one will be tank one will be caster probably. Im leaning towards SW though. Yes we will be playing MP =) gonna get some HC lovin in tonight to practice etc..

  5. Ah that "MP_experience = {1000,1150,1325,1550,1825}," is certainly interesting. Nice find there Ayeso! Bronze Silver Gold Platinum, Niobium. Looks like something to work with to me. Just need to apply those numbers to real life, err, the game. :(

  6. Hmmm, that would be wonderful info indeed Ayeso. Though what Llama states as the best we've got so far. I think that it might be more likely that experience granted is based on the relation between your level and enemy's level. Then again.... Since it is possible to fight a level 1 enemy in both Bronze and Silver it could be an easy test to try out. I'll add it to the list of things to add to the wiki. Though if someone finds it feel free to add it! :(

  7. Well.. I did a bunch of searching around and didnt get any real clear answers and its something that would go quite well in the wiki. What are the differences in difficulties, etc.. ie

     

    Bronze +0% XP +0% Loot +20% monster hp etc.. Min level 0

    Silver +20% XP +10% Loot +20% monster hp etc.. Min level 20

     

    etc etc...

     

    Anyone have any ideas as to the mechanics behind the difficulty?

  8. Well, I stumbled across this forum as I was perusing the main Sacred 2 forums. Played S1 quite a bit, now I'm back for more! So far quite pleased with the game, just been tinkering around trying out the classes getting a feel for the game etc... waiting to decide which route I want to go before I actually pick and choose a permanent char.

     

    I noticed a lot of canadians on this forum as well =)
