  1. Ah yes!

The final name is "Mobile Eatery" which they will sometimes shorten to "ME" as in "Meet ME at...". We have another truck called the "Mobile Pantry", so the two names are similar.

I will post pictures once the truck comes back from the graphics company that is applying a vinyl logo wrap.

That's an awesome amount of fruit to give the senior's home. Our food bank has started a garden and it has added several hundred pounds of vegetables to what we have delivered. Our biggest problem is lack of labor to maintain the garden and pull weeds.

Feh.. No imagination.. Ah well. We tried to come up with something more creative but they seem to have taken the safe road.

  2. This seems to be happening regularly and it even sounds a bit humorous. I'll start the game after an hour or more and when it loads the character I had been playing (my High Elf) she has a tag-along. I had just completed the chain quest in the desert with Skeik Yerbouty after having an entourage of soldiers. I left the game and came back to have one of the soldiers attached to me. (she is rather fetching... but seriously) I had saved the character/status files several levels ago so I can backtrack but I'm wondering if I should just do a clean re-load first. I'm wondering if I still need to use the revocation tool since I'm loading it back onto the same PC. I'm playing Vanilla Sacred 2 because the town in which I reside is too small to have any storefronts that would stock or even order Sacred 2 Gold Edition. I also could not find it online. Maybe if I wasn't so busy playing the game I would have searched a bit more thoroughly. Does anyone have any suggestions and should I report this bug?

Can't find it online..? Try AMAZON.. Or Steam. Both have the full game - $20 all day long...

  3. Er... Thinking he's already got enough brain damage..

As for him cheating - that would actually make perfect sense given his utter lack of readiness... Ruby may have gotten there 2 yrs ahead of schedule, but she was, at least, prepared and knew what to expect. Jaune - not so much.

Like when they were shot off the cliff... Ruby at least had a clue as to what to do. Jaune didn't seem to have the vaguest idea about what to expect - as if he never even went to the kind of school Ruby was going to back in the first episode.

On top of being clueless, he's also delusional if he thinks he doesn't need help. A wise man knows when to STFU and accept help and tutoring and whatever else to improve his skills. Especially when it comes from a smokin' hottie who's itching to spend some quality time with him...

He wants to be the hero.. Fine.. Take her help and build them skills and get with the program.

He should also take the old saying to heart... The one about "Behind every great man..."

  4. Ya know, there's probably a very good reason why you've never played the Predator dude in any game before...

It's got to do with that "ripping the skulls out yourself" bit - a wee tad too graphic for the masses and ratings people. Think about it for a moment, Sacred 2 doesn't exactly have a lot of super violent graphics, nudity, nasty language, and it STILL managed to get an "M for Mature" rating.

  5. But how long does it take to get a mutation set, how long to play to level 200?

For me - and that experiment - all of oh.. an hour to get everything together... I did say it was twinked..

Mutation sets normally are almost impossible to assemble. If you use this bugfix mod they will drop with the same frequency as other set items, so it's not nearly so bad.

Does anyone shoot for level 200 as a goal? It seems like you'd be able to do everything in the game by around 160, doing all quests and have all your skills mastered and all your Combat Arts modded, and after that it would just be endless grinding.

I personally don't shoot for 200. I rarely go beyond Gold. as by that time, I'm bored silly... Much more interesting building a new one..

200, however, is max... And that is why I went with the level 200 character set. If you're going to go extremes, might as well go all the way.

  6. Ultimate shopper a Dragon Mage..?

You'd think a Seraphim with the full Mutation set and sockets crammed full of the best +x bargaining necklaces and rings would be it - as

a.) Seraphim have more armor parts and

b.) therefore more sockets to cram full of goodies.

A long while back I actually twinked one together using the blank level 200 character set and got some seriously insane bargaining levels... (somewhere in the 900's, iirc..)

And there is the rub - the Dragon Mage never got himself a Mutation set as he wasn't part of the original game.

That said, the DM could do good as a shopper, but maybe not quite an ultimate shopper.

  7. Subscription model is dead? No way, no how. Final Fantasy XIV, WildStar, and now Titan are all current games that are making big bucks off the sub model. It's like paying for a phone service. They have to have revenue to keep up servers, and I'm more than happy to give companies my money so I can enjoy playing their game, which is being offered as a service to me. I know many others who share the same sentiment, and I don't think we will see the sub model go out any time soon.

Ok.. It's not completely dead. Neither is landline phone service. But it's fading fast. Let's be honest, times are tough. People have fewer dollars to spend. Sure... There are still some out there who have more $$ than sense. But I think those are fewer and further between.

I think this is source re model for Titen as being changed by Blizzard:

Now, Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Morhaime has some new information about the game which he relayed during a recent investor call. He said that unlike Blizzard tentpole World of Warcraft, Titan is “unlikely to be a subscription-based MMO.”

    From Forbes

Blizzard's Titan 'Unlikely' To Be A Subscription-Based MMO

Apparently, other game makers are taking this into consideration?

I'm surprised by this as well

    :)

    gogo

Maybe so. I got my info from Wikipedia. They might have gotten it from the same source.

I think the subscription model is a lot like MS Windows. They both used to be untouchable. Times have changed. They are still dominant but not where they used to be.

I wouldn't say Windows is in any danger of becoming extinct just yet. Yes, there are new fangled devices - Android, iOS and so forth - but none of them are capable of running a full blown game like Sacred 2. Certainly NOT at the level of detail you would find on the desktop.

That means if you're a gamer, you NEED Windows. Sure, you can MAYBE get a game to work under Linux using WINE, but that, more often than not is a major ordeal unto itself. Few, if any developers are doing much with the OS given it really has very few in the way of mainstream users compared to Windows and OSX... And speaking of OSX - there aren't many game ports that will work on that OS either. The market for that is also fairly small.

  8. The top and 3rd pics are topics found in the Easter Egg section of the Wiki...

The top pic of the bus stop is an ode to Forrest Gump and the 3rd one only appears on the screen if you're playing on the dark side.

If you hover your cursor over the box on the bench, you'll find it's a box of chocolates... After all, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

The Mad Scientist's house with the Vitruvian man is also documented as an Easter Egg..

And Robb - rest easy, there are only a very few bus benches in all of Ancaria.

There's one on the northern road heading west from Griffinborough, another one in Whisperwood, and the last one is on Northland/Christmas Island... Why there? NO idea.

  9. As far as I can see, there are only 5 ways to actually launch an on line game and have it work. Three of them involve making money..

1.) Pay for the game, Pay to be online (WoW)

2.) Free game, Pay to Play

3.) Free game, Pay to Win (Wartune)

4.) Pay for game, Free to Play (Sacred 2 like game)

    5.) Completely Free game (PoE)

I'm thinking in this day and age, 1 is dead, 2 may be on its way out, 3 is the current trend and 4... Well, We know what happened to Ascaron.

5 is the one that mystifies me as to how they can make money. About the only way I think the devs can make any is to pass the hat periodically requesting donations.

Btw... This Blizzard game - Titan - it doesn't seem to be on their current roadmap. The only games listed there are Heartstone - which appears to be a Yugioh clone - a card game based on WoW characters. This Titan project is listed on Wikipedia as being "reassessed as to which direction it's going to go" which likely means "we didn't like where the project was going and it was costing far too much money, so we've moved everyone off the project and put it on the shelf." Or... "It's been cancelled."

  10. Whoa! THAT is news to me, Chattius. I played the game enough to have armor that looked similar to that (if I remember correctly), but I don't remember ever seeing whips. As far as dw whips, I can redownload underworld. It's gunna take me a while, but if interested, I can look into it

Or you can check out this page on the Sacred Wiki.. There's an ice elf with a light-whip...

    VII.) Questions

1.) How exactly does the BeeEffGee affect other weapons? - No effect

2.) Do Pole Arms or other melee weapons benefit from the buff as much as Ranged Weapons (because I read somewhere that it increases your Ranged Weapon Skill for example)? - No

3.) Do Javelins and Halberds have a higher base damage than Energy Weapons and Long Bows?

4.) How much lower is the damage of Short Bows, Energy Pistols, Throwing Daggers and Throwing Stars, compared to the weapons mentioned above?

5.) If I use the BeeEffGee as buff, do Ranged Weapons or Pole Arms do more damage (considering as well, that I will probably spend my attribute points differently as well (Dexterity/Strength)? - Only your attack speed is affected by BFG

6.) What is the maximum level of Endijian's Javelin and how much worse is it compared to other Pole Arms? Does it deal less damage than good one-handed ranged weapons?

7.) Does the level cap of the BeeEffGee make other weapons, with higher levels, more effective than the BeeEffGee itself, considering that those benefit from its buff as well, or does the BeeEffGee still outclass other weapons with both Enhancement Modifications? BFG does a HUGE amount of damaage in comparison to melee weapons

8.) Do the Enhancement Modification and the Gold Modifications of the BeeEffGee affect other weapons as well? No

9.) Is Shield Lore considerably better than other Defensive Skills, if you intend to use a Shield anyway, or is it kind of equal to them, but forces you to use a Shield to utilize it?

10.) Are common shields considerably worse than unique and legendary ones and does that I intend to use one make the Shield Lore Skill less useful?

Thank you in advance and please excuse my bad English.

    Marijan

1.) Not entirely true... BeeEffGee is a buff and as such, buffs increase CA regen time. So while it doesn't do anything directly to weapons, it DOES have an effect on performance overall with those weapons.

3 and 4 - That will vary widely depending on weapon level. A level 5 weapon won't have the same effect as a level 75 weapon of the same type. It will also vary depending on weapons of the SAME level - so if you've got 2 weapons - both energy pistols - one might have a slightly higher damage value than the other. Don't forget to factor in gray (junk) items won't be as effective as ones that are white, blue, green, gold or orange... So you can have 2 weapons, one gray, one Legendary (orange) and the Legendary one wins out every time.

5.) No. BeeEffGee is one of those unique buffs like the High Elf's Grand Invigoration. It's different from all other buffs in so far as it has NO direct effect on anything else in your inventory or any other skills. It is a weapon unto itself. Ranged weapons, the skill, will have an effect on the BeeEffGee. And once again, having the BeeEffGee turned on will have an effect on your other CAs as all other buffs (except the previously mentioned Grand Invigoration) will do.

6.) Endijian's Javelin will come in levels from 10 up to level 240. The rest of your question... Well... Once again, that depends on a LOT of factors - weapon's level, weapon type, the color and enhancements and such. It's all relative.

7.) Level cap...? If you mean you can't get beyond 19 runes eaten before you start getting penalties... That can be handled IF you take the appropriate FOCUS skill (Revered Technology Focus) and put points toward it. That will make the cap higher...

But as a whole, BeeEffGee can be limited in so far as how it works with different CAs. For instance, a dual wielding Seraphim with two good blades (or hafted weapons) can do more damage with Pelting Strikes than one using a BeeEffGee.. Why? Because with the right mods on PS, you can do up to 6 hits per mouse click while no matter what you do, the most you will get out of a BeeEffGee with Pelting Strikes is 2 hits.

9 and 10.) Once again, it's all relative.

  12. Yeah.. He's still the 98 pound weakling.. but I have a feeling he will shape up eventually.. or get himself killed...

Then again, that would be bad form. You don't kill off your main characters especially if they're popular. Have a feeling that Cardin will get his just rewards soon enough..

Thinking bunny girl is a bit too young to be cute.. Still kind of interesting in seeing the sort of hybrid people they got over yonder.

  13. Welcome to DarkMatters..

First off, I'll second what Flix said about the Community Patch. It solves many of the issues that were in the Ice and Blood release and never got fixed when Ascaron went belly up and Deep Silver took over. Given Ascaron is no more and Deep Silver doesn't have the necessary tools to fix bug (LONG story), it's the best we can get.

Secondly, Throwing potions (aka Molotov cocktails) are only available thru the CM Patch. These along with hand weapons and a few other things were locked away in the game by the developers.

Third - Light sabers... Previously, they were available - but so insanely difficult to get, they may as well have been locked away. With the CM Patch, they actually drop as quest rewards.

Fourth, In order to use the BeeEffGee - on the PC, you MUST have at least one empty weapon slot available for it to materialize into.

Aegis is basically correct in saying you don't need anything else - except it's probably for the best to have at least one backup weapon. There are numerous baddies that will debuff you (remove any and all buffs) when they attack. Not having at least one backup weapon can leave you in a lurch when going up against these guys.

Fifth - DO try Dual Wield. A Seraphim with DW and 2 good, sharp blades or a pair of hammers - or any combination of the two mixed with Pelting Strikes yields lots of dead enemies...

  14. There's more than one way to skin the proverbial Kobold...

I personally am using BAB on my current pyro Elf and it works rather well.

My way of thinking goes a little like this: Defense is fine, but since you need to kill these baddies, might as well go straight to the point and just kill them. The faster they die, the less chance they have to do damage to and kill YOU.

If the initial number of meteors is 10, and Continuance increases it by 3, then yes, that's roughly 33%.

Btw, I don't know nutthin' about the math - I don't play games to do that sort of thing. I play to have fun and I don't really need to know WHY something works - just that it does.

  15. Um.. You may NOT be out of luck...

Though it may take a bit of work to do it... Which version of Windows do you have?

I know that with Vista, 7 and 8, there's an option to restore previous versions of files. And I'm not 100% positive, but I think XP may have a version of this feature as well.

Simply right-click on the file, select Restore Previous Versions and find a version of the file that is from before you downloaded and installed those files. Right click on the file in question and select COPY. Then paste it into the original directory. This will restore the old version of the file.

Note: This feature depends on the System Restore function and it has to be working. If you disabled this for whatever reason, you're outta luck... Also, note, you probably will lose SOME XP, gold and what not as it will restore the last version of the file System Restore saved. But hey, losing a day or two worth of XP and such is better than losing the file entirely for good.

  16. OK.. Let's clear this up.

You can't take a character created in SP and play it in MP. Likewise, you can't use a character created in MP and play it in SP.

But, if you create a SP character, you can play it all day long in SP and you can also play an MP character in MP all day long - and you will be able to save your progress.

As long as you're playing the character in the environment it was created in, everything works perfectly well.

  17. Holy Deja Vu...! That mouse looks remarkably like the Cooler Master one I just got. Minor difference - there's a rubber ring around the scroll wheel and the light show on the back is in a slightly different location and has a different design... the end near the cord also flares slightly differently from mine.
