  1. Oh yeah... Pyrrah has the serious hots for Jaune...! BIG time..

DUH.. Of course she likes him - he's her polar opposite.. She's confident, strong, and knows the ways of "the force". He isn't, isn't and doesn't. Opposites attract... He's like putty in her hands.. She can mold him into something worthwhile..

TBH, I did not see Ruby & Weiss' battle outcome, but the way they played it off was likely better in the long run.

And we learn that Yang has serious issues with anyone messing with her hair. That clump of hair in Junior's hand in the trailer gets whole new significance after today's episode...

Speaking of Yang, the Yin/Yang snake was pretty cool. At least we know there is more variety in the forest...

The Northern Hissel'Ta portal does not have it's own page. The Western Tyr Lysia one does. Should a page be made for this one>

    1.) Skull Rock - fixed a typo - msin -> main

2.) Lizurath - Missing 2 quest giving NPCs and a few involved in one of the quests.

a.) the female werewolf who wants to challenge you to a hydra hunting competition. You have to get the left, right and center tongues before she does. Her name is Dorothee - and her Alt txt is "Werewolf Dorothee" The quest is Hydra Tongues...

b.) there's a "human" who shows up after you've finished off that quest - he wants you to take out a hunting party that's decided to show up and hunt hydras.. Ironic considering you've just got done with a quest doing the exact same thing. After accepting this quest - this human and his 2 cohorts turn into werewolves and follow you out into the swamp to kill the orcs, humans and such who are hunting the rare critters.

c.) And lastly, there's the mayor of Lizurath who you report to after eliminating the hunting party.

Note: Those in B and C do not show up until the quest chain in A is complete.

3.) Marigold Fields - Dunno what the problem you were having - but it's fixed. The target page needs pictures tho...

4.) Neithu'thaz - Missing NPCs - there's the guy who gives the Haiku quest, and the one who wants to be reunited with his brothers and sisters who are having a picnic - only to find they've been T-Mutated so they gotta be killed off.. Ironically, both quests are red and do not exist on the wiki...

    a.) Haiku!

b.) A Picnic in the Swamps

  3. Not exactly sure what is causing this sort of thing - but... I know the CM Patch guys have been working on a fix for some similar issues - mostly having to do with the Crystal region. The crystals up there will lock an Inquisitor or TG hard when they 'explode' - the only option is to teleport to safety and reload the game. it had to do with animations...

This may be related somehow. There's nothing I can think of down there that will root you (except the Dryad, of course - but then again, why would she root herself with Tangling Vines?)

  4. It's more like Monty Python humor meets the Thunderbirds (original series) meets pretty much every sci fi cliché under the sun all allegedly taking place in the era of WW2.. And throw in a measure of Benny Hill bawdiness for the heck of it.

Oy.. This is starting to sound like one of those death bed drink recipes... There's at least one in every episode...

For instance... Episode 2 features a warm spot in Antarctica where dinosaurs survived the last 65 million years. Josef Mengele is doing mind control experiments on them. Love the B movie title - The Lizard Soldiers of the Third Reich...

As far as a following goes. It's had 1 run of 11 episodes in Australia and from what I've heard it's been renewed for a second series to be released in 2014 - so it must have gotten enough ratings to justify that... Networks don't invest money in shows they're not going to show on TV.

Maybe someone who lives down under might have a better idea on this?

  5. Got something I made last night... It might not quite be exactly what you're looking for, but some of the offending bits can be left out.

I call this a Goat Cheese Alfredo sauce.

First, start with a tiny bit of roux made from 1 Tbs of flour and 1 Tbs of butter. This should be very lightly cooked until it turns a blondish yellow color.

Thinking it's not too high in the gluten count - and if you want, you can use corn starch in place of the wheat flour... You may need to play with it a tiny bit to see if this works as well.

    You'll also need the following:

2 slices of bacon chopped into bits

    1 small onion, finely chopped

2 jalapeno, seeded and deveined, chopped finely. (1 large will do)

4 oz of mushrooms (Crimini, sliced thin, and optional)

8 oz of "half and half" (50% milk, 50% cream)

4 oz goat cheese, crumbled into small bits

    4 oz frozen peas

4 oz frozen carrots (or 8 oz frozen peas and carrots).

    1 clove of garlic, crushed.

2 Tbs of parmesan cheese, grated.

    Salt and pepper to taste

You'll need a small frying pan and a large one.

In the small frying pan, take your 1 Tbs of butter and melt it gently and carefully. When it's melted, dump in your 1 Tbs of flour (or cornstarch). Stir the two to blend them into a paste. On very low heat, carefully toast the roux until it's slightly toasted and a sort of blonde color. Remove it from the heat and set aside.

In the large frying pan, take the chopped bacon and on low heat, cook it until some of the fat renders out. Add a Tbs or so of olive oil to the bottom of the pan. Add the chopped onions and jalapeno and cook until the onions are clear and glossy. (If you're adding mushrooms, this would be the time to add them as well.) Stir frequently so everything cooks evenly.

Add the frozen peas and carrots to the pan and cook a min until they're thawed. Keep stirring the pan to keep things cooking evenly.

When everything is mostly cooked, add in the 1 clove of crushed garlic. Toss quickly and then immediately add the half and half, stirring as you go. Bring it back up to temperature by turning up the heat slightly.

Dump in the goat cheese and stir to let it melt into the sauce. Add in the parmesan cheese and stir well.

Lastly, it's time to add the roux. Stir to mix the roux into the sauce until it dissolves. The sauce should then thicken a bit. Taste for seasoning. Add salt and pepper as needed or desired.

Serve over gluten free (or regular) pasta or on a baked potato (instant loaded baked potato) or anywhere else you can think of.

  6. Looking much like a better Sacred 2 the more I see of it :)

WTH! Devs that <gasp> actually LISTEN to player feedback? :o

Looking much like a better Sacred 2 the more I see of it :)

Remember that it is now a subscription based game :)

Yeah... But that doesn't make it any less groundbreaking or cool. Just expensive.

  7.

1.) Hesheth - missing 6 NPCs from the final portion of The Bloodthirsty Mercenarys quest chain...

2.) There seem to be a bunch of NPCs missing from Hissil'Ta... There are more than 3 quests in the entire city.

3.) Hisui'Sul - there are at least 2 NPCs missing here - one just to the north and one to the east... The one in the north wants to know how he's doing in trying to get people to defect from the nameless cult. The other one is a guy how got homesick and wants to go home.

  8. I did some more work on the npcs for Carnach Caves.

    http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Carnach_Cave#Quests_.26_NPC.27s

I believe there may still be some NPCs missing, but the main quest ones should all be there now.

Yeah.. The class quest ones are there. IIRC.. There are a few missing tho from both the light and dark paths.

1.) The quest giver due south of Helga Parminter's position - Kelsior... he wants some beer for a dragon festival... The quest chain is called Third Sacrifice

2.) The orc you rescue as part of the quest - Tharuk. He's also involved in the Third Sacrifice.

On the dark side, there's the Dragon Cult quest...

3.) The quest giver - Jarofein

4.) Waton - also involved in this chain quest... Don't recall his exact location - he may not be inside the caverns. Parts of this chain take place on one of the islands.

  9. This is a TV show from down under and it's mostly NSFW...

    Consider yourselves warned...

So what's it all about? Well.. If you remember the Thunderbirds (NOT the lame 2004 movie, but the original series by Gerry Anderson done in the late 60's/early 70's), you will no doubt "get" the humor.

It's a show about World War II... But it's not the one that actually happened. At least, not the one portrayed in countless movies, newsreels and what not. In this series - it apparently happened during the late 1960's... More like the 60's version of the future (as seen in shows like Thunderbirds, UFO and Space: 1999)...

As a for instance, in the opening of the first episode, we have 3 French girls talking about the resistance when they happen to feel a bit of an earthquake. They look out the window to find 2 rather large blimps use mechanical claws to steal the Eifel Tower from Paris. These mechanical claws (and the blimps, for that matter) are right out of the sort of miniature modeling studio that spawned the Thunderbirds and similar shows... A couple of NAZI guards break in and shoot the girls. (The JERKS! They were hot!) And then a talking German Shepard dog-bot starts yapping about how they're going to take over the world...

Enter the Danger 5 team... They're lounging about in a house that looks suspiciously like the Tracy residence on (yes, you guessed it) Thunderbird Island. The bartender is blathering on about various drinks he's learned to make, another guy is playing chess against a Mineki Neko (the Japanese waving cat) - and managed to lose to the device. The last two - are arguing about relaxation... Their leader enters - he's a guy with the head of an eagle...

I told you this show was weird...

It's kind of like the Thunderbirds in the same sort of whacked out way Venture Brothers is to Jonny Quest. Weird, perverse, violent, and actually funny... Makes you wonder tho what them Aussies have been smokin' down under.. Must be quite potent stuff..

  10. Your fix does look better. Torsten Allard's page needs some attention then.

I fixed it, but if you can word it better go ahead. I also added Torsten Allard to the Carnach Caves page.

Good. Finding some of the employees are WAAAY off..

Torsten's pic was reused. It's the same as Mark Intelmann's - and that's just wrong Mark is NOT in the caves, he's up near the lighthouse.

Meanwhile, Marc Oberhauser's pic is 404'ing.

<sigh> sensing someone's gonna have to go thru all 89 of them to double check each one...

  11.

I suspect that whoever wrote that wanted to make sure that the people looking for Loromir would have an easier time finding him. I clarified, but did not remove the quest from that sentence.

I'm almost to the Dragonsea Islands in my current play through. I've activated the Epic Office Quest and will attempt to figure out which employee is on which Island. If I do get it figured out, I will add the correct employee to the correct Island, otherwise I will leave that alone.

That kind of makes little sense. He's not exactly on the beaten path - so to speak - on the main quest at any rate. You still have to go out of your way to find him. Having a map pointing to his location would be helpful. Fixed Loromir's description to remove the main quest reference and substitute the two quests he actually is involved in.

There are two employees on the same island - the one with the horn. One is in the village in the south (Marc Oberhauser), the other is by a lighthouse on the north (Mark Intelmann). All of the others in this region (except for the one on Seraphim Island) are underground in the cave system.

It's the same island you find Mer-Kil on... The village is on the west side of the volcano's cone (the side you exit the caverns from, go to the bottom and turn left to get there)

Added map to the Swamp Dragon's page...

Also added a map to Loromir's location on his page...

  12. Good Grief!

Doctor Who is a legendary sci fi program that runs on the BBC in the UK. It's been going for almost 50 years. It started November 22nd, 1963 - the day after John Kennedy got killed.

    Who is Doctor Who?

First off, he's just known as The Doctor. The Doctor is an alien being who landed on earth back in the day and lived in a junk yard. His vehicle is a TARDIS which stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Originally, the TARDIS had the ability to camouflage itself into whatever the local décor may demand. But when he landed back in the day, the chameleon circuit got jammed into the form of the police box.

OK... WTH is a Police Box?

Back in the day, before cell phones, car radios and the like (yes, I know, the dark ages :) ) London police got ahold of beat cops by telephone. Inside each police box is a telephone that is sort of like the 911 or 999 of it's day. If a cop was needed in a given area, the central police switchboard would ring up a given police box and the cop nearest would answer and respond. Or if a citizen was in danger, he/she could go to said box and open the small door in front and call the police for assistance.

Of course, as technology got better, these were phased out and eventually wound up on the scrap heap of the past.

Wait.. You said this show has been going for 50 YEARS? The lead actor must be ancient!

Not quite. The Doctor, being an alien from another world called Gallifrey has the ability to regenerate! This was a convenient tool that the writers came up with to keep the show going when the original Doctor, William Hartnel retired...

    Regeneration? Huh? Whatchotalkin' bout Willis?

Regeneration is quite unique in all of sci fi... It's sort of like a lizard that can regrow a limb or tail when it's been lopped off by a predator. Except the entire Time Lord (Gallifreyan) lets loose a lot of energy that rebuilds the entire being into someone new. Time Lords get 12 regenerations in their lifetimes. Thus far there have been 12 actors who have played the Doctor.

    William Hartnell 1963 - 66

    Patrick Troughton 1966 - 69

    Jon Pertwee 1970 - 74

    Tom Baker 1974 - 81

    Peter Davison 1981 - 84

Colin Baker (no relation to Tom) 1984 - 86

    Sylvester McCoy 1987 - 89

Paul McGann - the 8th incarnation was only shown as a 2 hour TV movie in 1996

After a hiatus, production resumed in 2005 with:

    Christopher Eccleston 2005

    David Tennant 2005 - 2010

    Matt Smith 2010 - 2013

Matt Smith will have his final episode as The Doctor in November - for the 50th anniversary special. And starting next season, Peter Capaldi takes the reigns as the 12th (and final?) Doctor...

OK.. I give, Why is he known as "The Doctor"? And what's a Time Lord?

Gallifreyans - aka Time Lords - tend to be rather finicky about telling people their real names. They're quite... fanatic about keeping their real names top secret and only tell those who they are actually intimate with. When they come of age, they concoct an alias which they use when conducting business offworld.

There have been a few occasions where the Doctor has taken on an earthly name - John Smith - when there was a need for such a thing. The Master, an evil Time Lord who has been a thorn in the Doctor's backside for eons has gone by many names - when trying to blend in.

Time Lords (aka Gallifreyans) are a race of humanoids who lived on Gallifrey. They were an ancient race who arose quite a long time before most other races evolved elsewhere. They discovered the means to travel throughout time and space and swore they would not interfere with the affairs of other races. They have 2 hearts and other internal differences.

So why is this Doctor (and this Master guy) running around the universe if they're not into meddling with others?

Long story... But to make it short - When a young Gallifreyan comes of age, he is directed to look into the Untempered Schism. Some become inspired to do good. Some become quite insane. The Untempered Schism is a portal where you can see all of time and space - a time vortex, if you will.

    OK.. What's a Dalek?

A Dalek is a being from the planet Skaro. Due to pollution from decades of war, many mutagenic substances were released. A brilliant, if twisted scientist on Skaro named Davros did experiments on the people of Skaro to find out what the end result of these substances were and found the resulting life forms would be shapeless blobs of goo.. He then took control over the evolution of his people and turned them into something that looks sort of like an octopus that rides around inside of an armored tin can with a sucker arm and a blaster. He removed their emotions except for hate. Daleks hate all life forms except their own. The end result - a race of insane beings who roam the universe trying to conquer it all. All other life must be destroyed, which is why they go around saying their catch-phrase: EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

The Daleks invaded Gallifrey during the hiatus between 1996 and 2005 when Doctor Who returned to the airwaves. The resulting Time War resulted in numerous casualties, and many billions of people of all kinds who were killed. At the end, the Time Lords led by Rassilon (their first leader plucked from his past) were about to destroy all of time and space in an effort to finish this. The Doctor stepped in and locked the Daleks and Time Lords in a time lock - a sort of pocket universe where they can fight till they drop without having an effect on everyone else in the real universe.

It was revealed that the Master's insanity was due in part to the Time Lords' last ditch effort to liberate themselves from this prison and carry out their final solution.

  13. OK... Found something that needs fixing - and since the error is prevalent throughout the wiki, it would make sense, perhaps to use the global replace thing..

    Problem - It's not ORC-Thag clan, it's ORE-Thag clan...

1st off, there's a page called Orc-Thag Clan Village - that needs to be changed. There are also numerous references to Orc-Thag on that page and on others. They also need to be changed to Ore-Thag as well.

Here's an actual screen shot with a blown up section to prove my point...

    post-14586-0-49216600-1376900876_thumb.jpg

  14.

sorted -- I'm pretty sure there is at least one missing quest npc here
sorted -- there are missing NPCs
    sorted
sorted -- light and shadow campaign talk to different clan members neither of whom are listed yet

    1.) There's only ONE problem with the first link. It's not ORC-Thag. It's ORE-Thag.

It's an easy mistake to make... I've made it myself a few times...

    post-14586-0-49216600-1376900876_thumb.jpg

2.) Ruka - yes, LOTS of NPCs missing - see the shadow quests already on the wiki for the quest givers and such.

3.) Tharak - Also missing the shadow path NPCs...

4.) Tiupak - Once again - an erroneous reference to OrC-Thag instead of OrE-Thag...

Maybe Schot needs to do a Global replace on Orc-Thag with Ore-Thag... Would make life simpler, perhaps.

Edit: Posted request for Schot on the appropriate thread.

  15. I saw a thing posted on Facebook. Seems if you go to Earl's Court Road and you click on some double arrows, you can get a virtual tour - ala Google Maps - of the Tardis...

It struck me as a challenge... So I fired up google maps.. and started searching - as the instructions don't exactly give you an exact address. I started at the south end of Earl's Court Road and made my way north... I finally found it. It sits on the street, just south of the front of Earl's Court's Underground (Tube) station.

The entrance if you go by way of the directions isn't immediately available either. The default has some black guy standing in front of it - and the double arrows do not exist.

    post-14586-0-81527700-1376896751_thumb.jpg

BUT... If you click on any of the small squares on top - you will be treated to other pictures of that area. Click any one of them and then close them out. You may need to lather, rinse repeat this several times but you will eventually see the picture change to this:

    post-14586-0-75690500-1376896360_thumb.jpg

Note the double arrows branching off from the other navigation arrows. Click the double arrows to go inside.

If you just can't get the 2nd picture to appear, click THIS instead.

  16. When I logged into the game this afternoon, I found a few messages waiting for me. Two of them were that my lease on the two Gold mines had expired. Normal stuff. The 3rd was from some dude calling himself Richard:

If u want to, please join WarlordS We need strong players that contribute.

So he's pretty much begging me to join his guild - WarlordS... Feh... I then noticed the battle report icon on my mailbox was blinking at me. So I click on that icon and there's a battle report. It seems someone plundered my city for almost 50,000 Gold... And who should happen to have done this - it's none other than the very same guy BEGGING me to join his guild. WTH?

I've been avoiding joining or creating a guild since level 12. I'm now on level 31. None of the guilds I've seen really sold me on why I should join them. I don't know any of these people. Not so sure I really want to. Truth be told, I'm not entirely sure I will be continuing much longer with this game. It's yet another time sink that needs you to play long hours in order to succeed and the higher levels you get the more time and effort you need to put into it to make it worth your while. The world moves on with or without you...

Now.. I had a look at his guild.. they're not all that big - only 67 members out of 70. They claim to be friendly and helpful in their charter.

But the part of Richard's note that irks me - they need people who contribute.. Now, the way this game seems to be configured, there aren't many ways anyone can contribute to their guild. Judging only by the daily quest tasks and the messages that pop up on the System channel, you need to contribute something to your guild on a daily basis. Apparently there are bonuses given out - "Congratulations to So and So for getting a widget from a guild blessing..."

So it strikes me as though, this guild isn't doing so well.
