  1. With the exception of Rough Boys and Sentimental Journey, you got them right, Wolfie.

Although the two I had in mind, might as well be other versions of those songs.

The reason you don't know / recognize all is because not all of them were (hit-)singles, but album tracks instead; not all of them from artists who're known world wide and not all of them might be the kind of music you like.

So, I'm curious what others may recognize.

    Thorin :)

    Hmm Sure bout Rough Boys?

    Here's the original

  2.

8.) Deep Silver decides to go full Stealth Mode. Releases no more information on Sacred 3 until it's released.

More than anything, this was the part that P'd me off the most. Sacred universe is a strong community. It's been like that since the beginning and even with years of no news about sacred 3, there was still an active community here, which kept up with the wiki which has become massive!

Communities need feed back, dialogue.. when Deep Silver went this route it hurt a lot of people

    gogo

In truth.... The more I think about it... The less I think Deep Silver really gives a flying fig about the Sacred franchise.

    Consider:

1.) Games have a shelf life and as such, they are only popular for just so long. People play the game get sick of it and move on.

2.) They figured (incorrectly) that the Sacred franchise was dead.

3.) The death of Ascaron, and Deep Silver's thumb twiddling, made sure that, by conventional wisdom, Sacred was dead.

    And yet it isn't.

So... Deep Silver chose to not communicate with the communities out there that are (like us) keeping the faith alive.

And this tells me one thing...

Deep Silver doesn't care about Sacred any more. It's as if they're trying to drive the proverbial stake thru the heart of the franchise.

  3. Thorin -

Not all of them, but quite a few.

    Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven)

    Guns n' Roses (Paradise City)

Steeler's Wheel (Stuck in the Middle with You)

    Creedence Clearwater Revival (Fortunate Son)

    Johnny Cash (Walk The Line)

Beatles (With a Little Help from my Friends)

    The Eagles (Hotel California)

    The Who (Magic Bus)

    Pete Townsend (Rough Boys)

Had to look this one up.. Doris Day (Sentimental Journey)

  4. noticed this about the cold poutine. A cold cheese and potatoe sandwich...they coulda upped their game by just making the poutine last and adding it... cept the sandwich coulda gotten kinda soggy

    :)

    gogo

I believe they said something bout the Poutine being take out. Hence the reason it was in the tin... They didn't make the poutine themselves.

As for becoming soggy - gee.. With all that maple syrup they poured inside AND out on that thing - it's already gonna be a soggy mess.

  5. Luckily the fine cuisine of canada is two oceans away :)

Else I would have invited you to Hackbraten im Brotmantel. Sour bread dough wrapped around meatballs and put into the oven

    Teigtasche-12.jpg

In spring there would be bear garlic and other herbs in, some cheese, chili. This time of year only onions and salade on extra plate.

It is quicker to put all in the wrapping dough and bake all together inside the dough than cutting a bread in half and lay it with all the stuff. Somehow the more time intensive way is called fast food :)

OK.. That actually sounds GOOD..! There's some products on the market here that are sorta like that. Instead of meatballs, they just stick a hot dog in the bread dough and bake it. For the life of me, I can't recall what they're called... I finally remembered - they're called Bagel Dogs.

What's fundamentally wrong with the Canadian sandwich is that these fools are using COLD poutine. Fries need to be FRESH. Not covered in gravy and then chilled to the point where the gravy coagulates into something solid. Nothing worse than cold, soggy fries. Not entirely sure how well maple syrup would go with brown gravy. Just so wrong on so many levels...

  6. Came across this today.

Now... I'm not entirely sure why it's called the Angry French Canadian... Angry in food terminology usually means heat in the form of chilis or other caustic food items that burn when you eat them. Pasta Arrabiata for instance is Angry Pasta in Italian.

But whatever.. It strikes me as being a bit on the nasty side. Prepare your barf bags...

  7. U guys think there will ever be a day when Deep Silver starts a dialogue with us?

That's the part that just rankles me. If they are big enough to have a marketing department, wouldn't then know better than to just hide from fan wrath?

    gogo

I thought they did a while back... Didn't they have a community rep posting here?

Or did we scare him off?

As far a them hiding from fan wrath - seriously.. they've been doing that since they posted the first bits of info on the game (not being an open world, being linear instead. etc...)... They clammed up on the game, releasing no further info - nothing to entice any interest in the game. Granted, there was a lot of negative feedback on what little they did release.

So them hiding now.. not reaching out to FDM - not surprising. Not the slightest bit. They've written us off.

  8. Yeh. Ep 4 was a hoot.

Gotta wonder if Riker Junior actually like being grabbed by Yang and was hoping for a repeat performance. (He does look a LOT like Riker from ST:TNG)

Wouldn't classify Yang as a Super Sayan actually... Her power is more that of an Inquisitor from Sacred 2 - The more damage she takes, the more powerful her attacks get. Super Sayans tend to get more powerful after prolonged training - but once they get there, they're pretty much at maximum and it's all downhill from there until they run outta juice.

As for Torchwick.. He's still a douche - and a cocky one at that... It is nice to get a better sense of the guy now that we're learning more about the baddies in the show.

  9. Imagine if you will, a pile of twice cooked fries smothered with kalbi flavored short ribs, cooked until the meat basically falls apart, topped with an avocado/lime sauce and chopped green onions. This is then topped with kimchee pickled onions.

I had this for dinner tonite... The purveyors of Seoul Sausage Company here in Los Angeles had their food truck in my neck of the woods so I had to go check them out. For those who don't know - Seoul Sausage won the Food Network Great Food Truck Race #3 a few years back.

So.. How was it, you ask?

Pretty good actually. My only complaint - it could have used a tiny bit more salt and maybe a bit of something spicy. maybe some chopped jalapeños.. But, hey, that's just me.

  10. Welcome aboard!

Here are the wiki pages for those items Wolfie:

    Rendal's Ruse

    Nishinku's Bracers

    Co'Nahn's Chestguard

Hmm.. None of those pages seem to have ANYTHING on them except a note that there's no info on this item...

    As a side note..

The project I undertook to upload all the goodies that are in the downloads section came from a tool that's freely available on the 'net. One, for whatever insane reason, we can't carry here. Go figure. I uploaded everything that it had - and I'm thinking the authors of said product were very thorough getting ALL of the stuff available in the game. Mind, you, they included some things that weren't allowed in the game - Admin testing items like the mutation sets, and some highly overpowered weapons and gear that weren't meant for public distribution.

The point being - if it was in the game - they likely found it and extracted it - and as such, I've uploaded it. I'm wondering if these items aren't part of the CM Patch...

  11. Welcome to DarkMatters!

Very well done on getting your high elf to Gold!

Now then... these items. I'm not familiar with these items.. Having uploaded the bulk of the stuff available for Sacred 2, I'm familiar with most of the more esoteric (I.e. hard to find items) and the stuff that was (for whatever reason) removed from the game by the developers. None of these ring any bells.

And with a name like Co'Nahn - I think I'd would remember since it would stick out like the proverbial sore thumb.

Do you have more information on these pieces? Are they part of a set? Which class are they for? Co'Nahn's sounds like a Shadow Warrior piece.

  12. Well. Yeh.. I suppose that could be an issue if plugging something in took a long time. Or if the power was out. But then if the power was out, you couldn't use your electric coffee maker anyhow... So unless you've got one of those old school coffee pots you make coffee with on the stove - it's kind of moot.

A lot of electric coffee grinders these days are battery powered also - so that's one less thing that you've got to be worried about - unless the batteries die...

  13. Time to resurrect this thread... Just read an article on Mother Jones' web site about these K-cup type packaged coffee makers. And it's kinda amazing. Seems all the 2 inch by 2 inch K-cups and similarly prepackaged coffee bindles sold last year, if lined up end to end would circle the earth 10 1/2 times.

    http://www.motherjones.com/blue-marble/2014/03/coffee-k-cups-green-mountain-polystyrene-plastic

And in addition to that, they're made of polystyrene - which can cause health issues - especially when heated.

  14. I love Babymetal.

Yeh.. The whole idea is pretty EPIC... Young teen girls, thrashing speed metal, lots of sugar (for energy, of course) - Who can ask for more?

Oh. Mah... God.. What the heck is this monstrosity... Wait. Do I like this? I think I like this?! I should leave now before it's too late... :3lmao:

It's the best thing to come outta Japan in a LONG while..
