what texture settings and hair are you using on your seraphim?

 

Medium. Hair? Eh, the one with pigtails (the hairstyle in the official Seraphim wallpaper)...

 

ok, then you need to open Graphics02.zip and look for "sera_hair2_do.dds" in "mq\maps\heroes\seraphim", and extract "sera_hair2_do.dds" to "C:\Program files (x86)\Deep silver\sacred 2 - fallen angel\pak\mq\maps\heroes\seraphim" (you might need to create the mq map and those under it in the pak folder)

 

then you need a program that can edit dds files. (Gimp is free, but you will need this plugin to edit dds files).

 

Open the texture in gimp and then I just use the colorize tool to make it white (I'm no pro with image editing ), then it will be the color you choose instead of that blonde thats always there.

Could some of you guys provide a step-by-step guide to how to change the hair colour? Like the thread starter, I wanted to have a hair colour as blonde as possible for my Seraphim, but I wasn't satisfied at all with the blondest one available...

 

first you need too find the texture for the hair your using, it is in one of the graphics zip files in the pak directory of your sacred install directory ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\Pak" for windows 7 64-bit)

If you are using medium quality graphics settings, the hair texture are inside graphics02.zip. Use winzip or 7zip to open the file.

Path to the hair texture files is as follows:

mq\mapa\heroes\seraphim Look for the files with names starting with sera_hair1 and sera_hair2

 

If you are using the low quality graphics settings, look inside the graphics 04.zip file. Path and file names are as above.

I don't have the elite (high quality) files, so I can't provide any information about them. Maybe someone else can help you.

 

I wish you luck; others have tried to make white hair without success.

I have found those textures, and made the original seraphim hair white, but they are only for hair 1 and 2 and I would like to find the one for hair 3. I have also found hair 5 & 6 for seraphim, 3 & 4 are the only ones I havent seen.

 

EDIT: just noticed, seraphim hair 3 & 4 uses the sera_hair1 textures, so problem solved, I now have my white haired seraphim and is very happy

Hi, I'm new to both sacred & dark matters and have just gotten hooked on modding the game.

 

I've been playing around with colors and textures a bit with my seraphim and now I'm wondering, is there anyway to make her hair white?

If I use console to change the color I can only get a blonde color. Do I have too mess around with textures? If so, where do I find the textures for the 3rd hair?

 

I'd appreciate any help I could get

 

EDIT: I've been messing around with textures a bit and finally managed to get some white hair, but I cant find the textures for seraphim hair 3. Anybody know where they are?

edit you're save game using hex editor n find hex related to hair color

 

That works with most colors, but if I change the hair color to FFFFFF on the seraphim it ends up being blond becuase the texture is that color, so I need to find the texture for the hair I want to change and make it white.

EDIT 2: Solved. You just have to make the hairs texture whiter(or whiter) and you can make it whatever color you want with hex edit or console or something. And The "sera_hair1" texture is used for hair 1, 3 and 4 (I havent looked at the other classes, but they might very well be the same)
