  1. Hey, I'm just now getting back into Sacred 2 Gold after a LONG hiatus, so I'm wondering, when's a good time to start the Ice and Blood content? Last time on my Seraphim, I tried going right before the final chapter, but I was WAY overleveled for the content. So, when's a good spot to take a break from the main quest and go the Blood Forest and/or Crystal Island?

  2. As you may know, each character class has three unique music pieces for when a battle starts. Which of these are your favorite.

Personally, I enjoy the Seraphim's the best. Proud, majestic, and very powerful, especially the one with the chanting.

The Inquisitor's is a close second, as I believe it shows exactly what the Inquisitor is: A self righteous, power hungry tyrant who is constantly convinced of his moral superiority to others even as he commits unthinkable atrocities.

  3. Everyone else was doing it, and I just had an idea. ;)

Anyways, my proposal is a quest similar to the Bounty Hunter quest/minigame in the original Sacred. For those that don't know, after your character is told to talk to Baron Demordrey, one of the towns you go through on the way to him has a "bounty board" that sent you to fight randomly generated named enemies throughout Ancaria. After completing this a certain amount of times (I THINK about 100), you would be rewarded with the Ancarian Medal of Honor, one of the best amulets in the game.

Does anyone think something similar could be implemented into the CM Patch?

  4. Well, I just finished the Light campaign as my Seraphim on Silver, and there's some highlights I had:

-I had to skip the Spider Queen boss because she was way too difficult, mainly due to her summons and LL aura.

-I couldn't do either the Blood Forest or the Crystal Plane because appearently in Silver, those areas cap at 70-71.

Other then that, it was a good run. Next, I'll either go through the Light campaign as my Shadow Warrior or roll an Inquisitor for "the other side". Then I'm going for the Gold and beyond.

    Cheers. =D

  5. How many times does Ali send assasins after you once you complete the Ashye quest? So far, I've encountered and defeated the group of assassins that both begin and end the Differing Opinions quest, but are there more ambushes to come? I ask because the wiki mentions a "Master Assassin" involved in DO, but I'm pretty sure that guy wasn't in the group that attacked me.

Oh, and do I ever get a chance to pound that smug grin off Ali's face?

  6. Jerk'butt'(Sacred 2) - That. . .person you have to take along for the 'Tutorial Escort' side quest. Between letting him having a sword. . .which is a big bad NO.(I think there's another trope for that) and the ego(yet another trope) and lines like - "Entire division to me!". He is such a jerkbuut that failing the mission on purpose is really tempting. He's also 'Too Stupid To Live'.

The only other Jerkbutt is the Necromancer/Inquisitor that brings back the Shadow Warrior. Its really compounded in the Light Campaign because the SW is that much more of a victim of the Inquisitors disrespect of the dead.

Made a general entry for Artificial Stupidity.

    Too Stupid To Live -

Any non-invincible NPC you are trying to protect that runs directly into a mob of enemies during an escort mission.

The woman who is getting mugged between the Elf Fort and the Elf Capital. She just stands there and take it.(Another trope) Rescuing her puts her into invincible mode.(another trope)

    See above

The Woobie - Little girl quest givers.

The children in the Seraphim Character Quest.

The Shadow Warrior(Light Campaign). Really have to feel sorry for the guy - in his first life he fights and dies honorably expecting to spend the rest of his existence in the after life. Then he rudely brought back to life and is told that as far as the the Inquisitors goes he is a 'failed experiment'. First the guy who brings back the SW tries to have his assistant kill the SW. When that fails the Inquisitor tells the SW, "Go bug the High Elves." In other words the Inquisitor doesn't even bother try to release the SW from his new unwanted life.

No wonder the SW is so PO'd in the Shadow Campaign.

    Added.

Who Wants To Live Forever - High Elves live for centuries. The Seraphim are practically immortal. The Shadow Warrior is a Zombie. The Dryad probably has some kind of link with the planet(this is a guess on my part). There is also the Resurrection Markers. Outside of Hardmode, there is no real 'dying' for the main characters.

Who Wants To Live Forever only applies when the person DOES NOT want their immortality. Sorry.

Crowning Moment of Bad'butt' - Seraphim's Assailing Somersault when equipped with a Pole Arm/Staff or Throwing Weapon.

CMoA aren't allowed on the main works pages anymore.

Breaking The Fourth Wall - In Sacred 2 the Player Characters will sometimes complain to/about the player for letting the game idle.

    Added.

Crowning Moment of Funny - Majority of the Player Character's one liners.

    Same as CMoA

Superior Species - High Elves really don't care for Humans. Surprisingly the Seraphim isn't that much better about humans. Everybody. . .no, I mean EVERYBODY hates Kolbolds. The playable High Elf thinks she's better than her own race in EITHER CAMPAIGN.

Made a general entry for Fantastic Racism

Purposefully Overpowered - The Seraphim's BeeEffGee in Sacred 2. Unlike Sacred 1, the BeeEffGee in Sacred 2 is always 'on' when activated. Also it gives a hefty bonus to Range Skill as the weapon is leveled up meaning that precious Skill Points can be used somewhere else. At some point the BeeEffGee becomes an Infinity Plus One Sword(Trope) and that's WITHOUT the various Skills and Buffs that can power up the BeeEffGee.

Will check if its an actual trope, and will add if it is.

  7. Got one for you - Green Aesop http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GreenAesop

The Dryad both Light/Shadow campaigns. Although 'mileage may vary' in what she believes in and how she spreads her beliefs. In other words in Shadow she can quite. . .violent in her Character Quests about the whole thing.

T-Energy(IE - Fossil Fuels) is not the clean energy people think it is. Its a toxic-sludge so powerful that it can cause rocks to mutate into giant golems.

    Added. =)

  8. Ok, at the part where the Village Priest told me to either hand over the basket or fight him, I refused (decline) to hand it over, but the priest then acts as if I agreed, and the quest chain continues as normal. The weird thing is, my log marks the A Good Father quest as failed despite the chain itself being completed.

This also happened during the Spirit of Arthaman quest, where I refused (again, hit decline) to accept the Leader of the Horde's bribe, and yet they let me take the book in peace. Huh?

  9. Ok, for the past few days or so, ever since shortly after I entered Artamak with my Seraphim, everytime I try to load her up the screen suddenly freezes and starts making these weird black flickering lines horizontally across the screen. Now, I've found that I can bypass this by using ctrl-alt-del while its stuttering and re-opening the game, but the weird thing is, this only happens when I load my Seraphim. It doesn't happen when I load any other characters.

So...yeah, nothing major, just annoying. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and can it be fixed?

  10. I've been debating, from what I know, what each class's preferred or favored weapons are. This is what I have so far:

Shadow Warrior: 2 handed hafted weapons, axes and hammers in particular

Seraphim: 1 or 2 handed swords

Inquisitor: 1 or 2 handed hafted weapons, maces in particular

    High Elf: Magic staff

    Dryad: bows and dart guns

Temple Guardian: Not really sure, but I assume most 1 handed weapons and energy shots

    Dragon Mage: Polearms(?)

    Thoughts?
