Woop, thanks for the update

Is it possible to modify/deactivate certain sound files?
There's a such annoying beep sound in inquisitor's fight music, I want to get rid of it without disabling music as a whole.
-
Will the books have content in the "ancients secrets" (I hope that's the correct translation from ger -> eng) in 1.4, if there'll be another patch?
I was so looking forward to see how this story ends.

Solmyr was his name and it actually is quite a coincidence.
just looked for an awesome character on the internet and his picture came into my mind.
Fafner was the guy with speciality in nagas / naga queens, solmyr had imba chain lightning
@gogolblender: are you going for guild wars 2? Cause it definitly is on my list, looks awesome so far.

Best game in the world + best music score ever, along with HoMM 3. Imho -
which character do you play and which skills do you use?
-
a very trivial solution and maybe not what you want to hear but: if you are silver, rush through to the next difficulty to "fix" it.
-
oh and btw... if you use the character editor tool, you are able to use builds you usually aren't to
e.g. take armor skill but not having any point into one of the required skills for that.
-
+ it says so in the journal! how could you miss that:)
-
I really like to play my char and adjust it every now and then with character editor. because you can play more than one style then and even if cheating like that may ruin the fun normally, in sacred 2 it doesn't for me.
I enjoy finding good combos myself

I've heard that if you lure him back onto the wooden bridge, he gets weaker. can't confirm it though, maybe you did it the second time you tried?
I've had insane troubles vs him with my dryad too.

And IMDB is (as far as I know) a professional website, where wikipedia is user edited content.... so IMDB is more definitive/reliable.
you won't find wrong movie info on wikipedia, that's for sure. both sites have different content though, I'd say wikipedia has more trivia and things about the movie itself, whereas imdb offers user's opinions, similar movies and a rating. it's a question of informative vs interesting in my opinion. and again: both sites are professional and you won't find wrong information on neither. just saying
-
my vote goes for imdb. it has a more interesting layout and presents the cool stuff better. wikipedia is more for in depth info, something I usually don't need.
my 2 cents on this!

It you extract soundhq.zip you do not extract to a folder named soundhq, instead you simply extract the contents, incase that's what you have been doing. So if soundhq.zip contain hq/... And mq/... Then when you extract you should get two new folder structures hq/... and mq/...
Ah works like a charm! perfect! ty!
-
Easiest way to do it is have the file in folders with the same structure as that which is inside the zip file and the game uses them in preference to the zip. So if its in hq/sound/something inside the zip just have folders set up like that outside the zip.
Are you sure that this should work?
Just tried it quickly, and it didn't seem to. Extracting soundhg.zip, replacing one file there but still sacred takes the one from the zip. Too tired to try anything fancy now, time for some sleep (2am here) ;(
-
I use winks because I do not know the shortcut for tongue sticking out.
it's either 'p' or Þ (alt + 168168 on numpad).
-
Is it possible?
I want to exchange gui_slotchange.ogg with a less noisy version, however it seems like sacred 2 compares the checksum of the zip file and if it doesn't match, sacred won't use the .zip file at all.

"this opponent seems to be well trained" - I laughed so hard

ad S3 in general:
* And a bit faster base movement speed!
* Detailed information about the enemies ingame (their spells, attack, ms, all that good stuff). why not a bestiary in the journal?
... cities changing their look (at least one) in the course of a quest (plague broke out, burnt down, genocide, anything!), UFO suddenly crashing down, leaving a trail of destruction (and dead mobs *g*, maybe even killing a boss!), vulcano eruption(some mobs can withstand magma and transform just like the t-energy lakes), moral decisions(there are some in Sacred 2, but way too few), start location in the very near distance to an area with superior enemies (gives you a goal right at the beginning without it being a quest), secret quests (triggered for instance like the office quest. by clicking on some eye catching prop). ...
I'd just appreciate some BIG moments. Those dragon fights aren't, and they are the best Sacred 2 has to offer sadly ;(
-
I would like to have "random encounters".
Meaning special enemies showing on really rare occassions. This could be other heroes or bosses, or even just special quests or happenings.
Just something that gives me the feeling that I can't 100% predict what I'm going to face against when starting Sacred 3
also: switching between spellsets!

mr.oies: There is actually this thread about fonts. Hopefully that'd help you out. ^^
Was about to fiddle with 'em little myself, as I remebered there was this one neat styled one.
Wow that's actually effing awesome! Thank you
-
I'd prefer bigger font though. But I guess it would be hell of a work.
-
Out of curiousity: Where did you get this info from, gogoblender?
I wish there would be a sacredwiki site with detailed information of each enemy (attacktypes, damagetypes, movespeed, aggrolevel, etc.)
