  1. Hi,

I just made a Shadow warrior and noticed something weird. I wanted to stack the attack speed bonus of Augmenting Guidon - leadership and Rousing Command - Impulse but it seems like it does not work. If I cast Augmenting Guidon I have 115,8% AS. If I cast rousing command, I have 115,7% AS. If I cast both, I have 115,8% AS. Is this a feature? This is the first time I've noticed this. Does this thing happen with all stats? Like if I mod Killing Spree for Attack Rating and/or attack speed. I'm using CM patch 1.60 and Enhanced edition (with spells) if that changes anything.

  2. I would also love if there was a "berserk" orc class: hits hard and fast, but doesn't have a strong defense. He could have a cool CA like frenzied rampage, but instead of standing still, the Orc fly around hitting enemies like a boss

kinda like the juggernaut's "omnislash" if anyone played DotA. or Yi's Alpha strike if anyone played League of Legends.

  3. Hi Guys,

I just started playing sacred 2, had played sacred 1 with a vampiress till level 70ish. Did not play online, and not planning on it yet. I would have a few questions in general and some related to my inquisitor (lvl25).

    General questions:

    1) It seems that in sacred 2 I'm not able to make uber combos as the level of the CA which I use for the combo is not set. Is there still sense in socketing CAs into gear for the lower regen times or is aspect focus and concetration enough for that?

    2) I have the funny feeling that ranged mobs do more damage on me compared to melee mobs (they all do physical damage yet, so not related to poision - or any other - resistance). Or is it because I can deal with melee mobs quicker?

    3) I've noticed that I can only socket rings, CAs, and enchancment in armor. Is there a socket type that lets me socket amulets? I found some nice physical damage reduction amulets, but can weare only 1.

    4) Also does the enchancment of the blacksmith scale with character level? I just wanted the put the defence enchancment on some gloves and instead of the indicated +1% it gave +24.8%. How does that work? It was a green item, in case it has anything to do with it.

    5) I failed one of the quests where I'm supposed to escort this guy to the next town, as he did not prove as undead resistant as myself. I went to the quest marker anyway to deliver news on the mishap. Now everytime I load game his fiancee appears. Even though she is even less undead resistant. Can I make her dissappear somehow?

    6) I found gear that decreases enemy defence and/or attack in some rate. I suppose I'll have to look for some other enchancment on jewelry and armor, just not sure what. Are these enchancments any good at higher levels?

    7) I'm getting full on light potions usually, and only sold most of the health potions so far. I presume these will be useless on higher difficulty. Is that so?

    8) I also came across a lot of equipment that is purple (or blue) that has no effect listed. Will I be able to see these effects with Alchemy? Is it worth adding as a skill? Did not use that many potions apart from when being attacked by lots of ranged mobs or champions so far.

    My inquisitor:

I was picturing my inquisitor somewhat like Dolph Lundgrens character in Johnny Mnemonic :) so more of a tanky brute than a caster.

My skills at level 25 are:

    Toughness: 9

    Tactics lore: 20

    AS lore: 5

    AS docus: 15

    Concentration: 8

    Trading: 5

I've put all my points in strength so far, as I was not happy with my to hit ratio. I started out on silver and apart from the very beginning was overall happy with "Dolph"s performance so far. I mainly use Ruthless mutiliation and Clustering malestorm with Soul reaver and Purifying chastisment active. I usually gather mobs around me to black hole their buttocks, and only have to deal with the champions after that, which is easier with some souls captured. I use a halberd, and haven't made up my mind yet what weapon lore to choose. Just found some decent 1 handed weapons a sword and a mace. Didn't make my decision easier :).

So my questions for my inqusitor are:

    a) What weapon lore to choose. I presume there's not one weapon type that is uber good for the inquisitor, is there? Polearms would fit "Dolph" well and from what I've read there are less types of polearms benefiting from dexterity than strength.

    b) Is strength a good choice to put points into. I'm hoping with 25 points I didn't screw this "build" up yet. What else should I consider?

    c) What CAs should I read? As I usually gather mobs to use Clustering malestorm I don't spam this CA that much. Dislodged spirit from the NN aspect would be the other CA to use which I guess I need to use on bosses, and some tough champions. Again not something I will be spamming. Because of this I didn't get NN focus/lore yet. I'm not that comfortable with Pruifying chastisement yet, as I'm not sure how it really works but didn't really spoil the regen of my RM yet. If I would read runes into CA I probably would need to pick GI focus, right? For now I'm happy with the regen of CM and RM, but if I'm suggested to use Reverse polarity I presume I should read runes into it. Would that screw up the regen of my CM if I keep AS focus at 2/3 of character level? Or should I go for Soul Reaver and take NN focus to keep the regen time of dislodged spirit at a sensible rate? A bit confused how to carry on with the CAs.

    d) Any suggestions on how to deal with the ranged mobs pew-pewing my pale robed ass from afar? I use Inexorable subjugation currently but as I lack NN focus/lore the regen time and damage are pretty bad. I can kill a normal mob with 4-5 tics, and it is quite useless against champions.

    Thanks in advance,

    bear

    1) Socketing CAs is still useful, it boosts your damage a lot. But not in Silver IMO, because it only gives you +1 to the CA (in Niob, it's +6)

2)I don't think they do more damage. But I usually kill ranged mobs first, since they are the weakest to damage. AS buff can help you with them though, it reflect ranged damage (and every damage with the right mods)

    3) You can socket amulets in a gold socket. If you have the skill "Blacksmith" you can socket them in silver sockets, and rings can be socketed in bronze sockets.

4)No, It scales with the difficulty level (or with the level of your blacksmith skill) BUT silver sockets give +5% bonus to effects you socket in them, and +15% for gold sockets

5)hmm. It might be a bug. Happened to me before that someone was still following me after a quest. But are you sure there is no other objective? Try to read the quest logs about this quest.

    6) At higher level, you will need a lot of attack and a lot of defense. these amulets can be useful if you're having a hard time hitting/surviving. There are better amulets/rings though. like +X to all skills. Regarding that. If you keep Bargaining to your character level, you will often find nice rings/amulets at merchants.

    7) AT higher difficulties, light potions will become less efficient, and you will find better ones.

    8) Sometimes, you can see that an item has an effet but you do not get it because you need the skill. the required skill is shown in red and between parenthesis

    a) Most inquisitor take Dual wield, because it does has much damage as other weapons but you can have more sockets. There are also a lot of one handed weapons.

    b) strength won't be a waste I you fight melee a lot. I like putting my points in Vitality though, because the Inquisitor is weak.

    c) Most of the time I gather a large group and kill them with Clustering Maelstrom+ Levin array in a combo. I finish the others with Callous Execution. It keep its cooldown really low so I can spam it.

edit: didn't see the topic was this old lol, I hope it still helps.

  4. Hey guys, thanks you for trying to help me!

So here we go. The questions

1.On sacred wiki, they say that increasing strenght upgrade his dmg. Is it the same if you use ranged weapon and take dexterity ?

    2. I don't know why, I've seen on youtube doppleganger using range weapon. But me, when I wear guns, my merc needs to collide to hit with guns. I hear the sound of the guns, even sometime the projectile but he always have to be collide to use it. If I put modification points and gave him gruesome inquisition. Is he going to be able to shoot at range or he will still collide to shoot?

    3. Right now, my skills are ...(all my points are in dexterity btw)

    1.Concentration

    2.Inquisition focus

    3.Astute Lore

    4.Astute focus

    5.Armor Lore

    6.toughness

    7.Ranged weapons

    8.Tactic Lore

Any idea of what I should pick for 9 and 10 ? (I'am a ranged inquisitor)

Ty for your eventual awnser and sorry for my poor quality of english!

    1. I think so. From what I've seen, the doppleganger does has much damage has you do. So since Dex increses your damage, it will increase his damage.

    2. It's a bug :/

    3. Tough question. I would recommend Constitution, but since you're range, I'm not sure you need it, even though it helps a lot. Do you use Astute supremacy a lot? you can take Ancient Magic/combat. You can also take Nefarious Netherworld focus, for the debuffs (nice against bosses in Niob) EDIT: oh, you're on Xbox right? so no AM. so Combat discipline (relly useful for CM+LA+RT combo)/constitution/nefarious netherworld focus

  5. I would love a dwarf. I would also be very happy if there still was the Inquisitor, but I doubt it

I don't think there will be an Inquisitor, but I would love a character that is similar: melee/mage hybrid, and a guy that isn't necessarly really evil. Well the inquisitor is evil, but his personnality isn't only about murdering people like shadow path SW... And I would really like epic skills like Clustering Maelstrom

  6. Hi

I'm having a hard time finding 2-handed hafted weapons for my SW with my Inquisitor, because it looks like merchants will rarely sell items your character can't use. I have to look for hafted weapons for 30 minutes before finding one, and it often sucks... Is there a way to mod the game to change this? Is there alrady a mod out there that does this, and is compatible with CM-patch? thanks!

  7. Most likely it is something to do with the Fallen Angel past glitches. Before the patches maps used to crash. And it could... COULD be something to do with that as you've got American Fallen Angel, while editing the registry. But still, very unusual.

Whenever you've opened the map, does it always crash?

no, only like once or twice a day, but it's still annoying when you just killed a tough boss and you wnat to teleport and boom crash, try again

When did this start, and what after? Try to remember what events exactly happened to your PC the first time it happened

I installed Advanced system care and gamebooster.

Now that I think about it, I didn't activate the "turbo mode" of Advanced system care today and nothing strange happened so far.

  8. Tell me the exact version your on?

Did you buy Sacred 2 Fallen Angel, then Ice and Blood Expansion pack individually? Then patched them?

Or did you buy the already patched Sacred 2 Gold?

You bought American Fallen Angel? Then Ice and Blood with the registry edit trick?

Re-install your patches and make sure they're active!

I have american fallen angel with Ice and Blood reg edited

I have every patchs installed, but how do I reinstall them? when I run a patch installation it says "your game is already patched to this version(2.65.2)" or something

  9. well now I can't change the settings, it makes the game crash -_- I guess I should try a clean install, but my friend has my CDs...

I managed to lower some settings by changing things in options.txt

I lowered the res to 1600*900, I'll see if this resolve some problems (I doubt it will)

  10. Sorry explain what you said above in more detail.

Erm, which map do you open, the 'tab' map or the big world map, and what happens exactly when it crashes?

    the big world map.

what happen is that I hear the "fire" sound of the map opening , but it doesn't show up and I can't do anything. I still hear the sound of the game though. But nothing is moving on the screen and the only thing I can do is move the mouse. I tried closing the map by pressing M but it doesn't work.

    also

sometime I press M and I only see a few parts of the map, and I see the game going on behind. I can still close it and continue playing, but most of the time, next time I open the map it does what I said before

It could just be a vista incompatibility issue, but the crash on map is to do with poor memory management I think. Its one that a few of us have had before. What settings/screen res do you play it at?

I play with medium settings, 1680*1050 res. But lowering everything doesn't really change anything.

I didn't have this problem before. It showed up like 1 week ago. I didn't change anything in my computer, and I don't have virus

Do you know how to resolve the incompatibility problem?

  11. hello,

I'm having random fps drop sometime (often). when not moving, I have approximately 80 fps and 60 fps , but every 10 secondes my fps drop, getting from 60 fps to 10-20. It's really annoying. Everytime I open the game I activate "gamebooster" wich closes useless programs that take ram.

When I talk to a NPC (quest, merchant, runemaster) the game often freeze for 1 seconde then zoom in.

putting everything to low doesn't change anything

oh and the game often crash when I open the map. Why?

    I have:

    Vista 32bits

Radeon HD 5770 (temperature around 55 celcius while playing)

    4 gig ram

Intel core quad CPU Q8200 2.34 GHZ

  12. Hi ,

I m new here just registered.

I have downloaded the Cm patch 1.2 a few weeks ago and it is weird to see the sacred emblem have bunny ears etc and all red text .

And I havent played much before the cm patch but just installed patch after patch after patch and it works so now I m playing a Shadow warrior and my brother has a dragonmage, we r both around level 20 , no cheats on only the cm patch.

Now I ve noticed a huuuuge difference in power.

While I got only my summons and resistance and reflects and raise dead etc all that still doesnt make up for dragonmage's magic spell when the small meteors rain down for like 15-20seconds doing a bazzilion damages and area damage also.he s farming xp on monsters 4-5 lvls higher and collecting them and just using that spell without dieing.

someone can make the dragonmage weaker?

High elf is still better than him IMHO.

if the meteor rain you're talking about is Dragon strike, well it's not so good because it's unreliable in caves and in places where there are cliffs

  13. Depends on when you want have bargaining. I have an elementalist shopper who was designed to take bargaining at 65 and have it at character level on 100. It was part of a bargaining chain and planed to fill the hole around level 100 in our chain.

    So before answering:

You want bargaining right from begin or at a certain level?

I can post my character if there is interest, but I need access to my game computer first (while posting I am on a sales travel through europe)

I want to take bargaining early, and he won't be part of a bargaingin chain, I only want to catch up with my main character to help him with +all skills stuff

  14. When you are dual wielding with a SW, the Hellhound hit twice when you use Demonic Blow. The Shroud Spider however only hit once, even when dual wielding. That's kinda annoying and it makes Callous Execution completely useless when dual wielding while you are on your mount. It would be great if someone fixed it.

    http://www.frankrentmeister.info/mantisbt/view.php?id=739

I think I can fix this.

    thanks :)

  15. do you think that purifying chastisement and damage of enraged players +xx% should work like in Sacred 1? Because right now it does not increase the damage by that much if you have some +xx% damage. It only increases your weapon's base damage by xx% when at 25% (or 35%) exemple:

    -you have +300% DOEP

-you have a weapon that deals 1000 damage without bonuses

-with your gear you have +120% damage

that means that at full HP, you will deal 2200 damage.

When at 25% HP, you will deal 4200 damage instead of the 6600 that you would deal if DOEP occured AFTER gear bonus

That's a big difference, and it's really annoying to see this with my inquisitor, because right now it's like if it added around 160% damage instead of 280%. I don't think it's worth it to be at 35% HP to gain only 160% damage...
