  1. I am doing an Elementalist as my first DM. I just made 18 and earned my fourth Elemental Magic mod point. The first three went into Destroyer, but I am not sure where to put the fourth.

I would suggest modding Gust of Wind if you're also using it.

I did not select Expert Touch. I am currently using three combos: Gust of Wind/Destroyer, Eternal Fire/Dragon Strike, and Energy Blaze/Mind Strike. Mobs are no problem, it is literally just a matter of waiting for the smoke to clear and seeing if they dropped anything good. Bosses... Well that is another matter. I have taken out the White Griffin and the Kobold Chieftain, but it was not easy.

I don't know if you noticed, but you can focus Gust of wind on a spot, like with HE's Blazing tempest and Glacial Thorns. It will do much more damage on bosses

  2. Whats the best way to refresh the shops stock in Fallen Angel? Ive been teleporting between freeworld starting island & sloeford.. fairly slow. Fastest way in Ice & Blood as well?

On a slightly related note - do shops offer different quality items at different places? Starting island in Freeworld seems to always have a better selection than Sloeford.

the best way I found so far is to teleport to sloeford, but right when the map disappear and your character start teleporting, press f8.

  3. why isn't dragon magic lore boosting its damage? could the CM patch fix this?

oh and why did the CM-patch make this CA only have 2% base chance to jump to nearby ennemies? this is what made this CA cool, and now, at this CA level 50, you still only have 12% chance that it jumps to nearby ennemies...

  4. yes, this works in many places, but I tried this in the dragon caves (with the small golems throwing things) and they lose less than half their hp with CM+LA (or CM+RT), and I ate many CM runes, like 15, it deals 411 damage, I'm level 44.

oh and which skills do you master first?

One major thing to keep in mind about this build was that it came out 3 years ago, when we were all still very new to the game mechanics and before the Ice & Blood expansion which nerfed casters. This build is nothing groundbreaking in terms of damage, but it is a fun to play build using multiple combat arts. I was always able to knock down guys with 2-3 casts of the CM -> LA combo. Another trick I learned was to keep LA all by itself so that I could spam it on extremely physical resistant monsters like you are describing.

Skills to master first? Hmmm, I can't recall all my stats from memory, but here's what I do know.

    - Constitution was a mastery by either 75 or around 78

    - Focus skills were kept at 21, but NN focus was kept at 31

    - I want to say that the other three skills that were mastered at 75 or 78 were AS Lore, Tactics, and Armor Lore

Hope this helped at least a little. Once again, I apologize for this build being so outdated :)

    thanks :)

this build rocks by the way and I really like the gameplay :) I tried again in other places than the dragon caves, and CM kicked some asses. I'm not really far in the game though, so this might change in higher difficulty levels.

  5. how do you manage to do good damage with clustering maelstrom? It's 100% physical and most creatures have a big resistance to physical damage

Really easy actually! As most of the inquisitor builds on the forum here, if you mod it for Chaos, Vortex, Vortex; you can pull a large amount of monsters together for an immense amount of tumbling damage. Basically, its entire effect only works when there is a large quantity of monsters present :)

  6. my inquisitor build:

    Astute supremacy lore

    dual wield

    armor lore

    constitution

    gruesome inquisition focus

    tactis lore

    concentration

    astute supremacy focus

free (planning on taking NN focus)

    free (planning on taking toughness

if that can help you (I'm not saying my build is great, but our builds are similar)

Personnally, I wouldn't have taken combat discipline, but I guess it can be a good choice, with CM+RT+LA

  7. NN focus, and not only for soul reaver. You can mod dislodged spirit too, it will help you a lot with bosses

spell resistance if you have Ice & blood

    Hello Gimnosaji.

Thanks for the reply. How to mod Dislodged Spirit and Soul reaver if I am going to choose NN focus? SR is really good against bosses (becauce there is no mobs close to many bosses)?

Spite -> Deprivation -> Stimulate for Disloged Spirit

I don't really know for Soul reaver, I don't really like that buff. It's awesome when you kill many ennemies, but it's useless against bosses and it makes Purifying Chastisement useless (your damage won't go up if you're not getting it, wich is the point of SR)

I like using PC and reverse polarity much more

oh and for PC bronze mod, I think mystic is way better, because most unique/legendary weapons already have magic damage built in

  8. hey

I'm facing a problem with my new Supremacy/melee inquisitor right now...

here is my build, he is currently very low level, but I'm planning to take these skills:

    -dual wield

    -Astute Supremacy Lore

    -Astute supremacy focus

    -Gruesome Inquisition focus

    -Ancient magic

    -armor lore

    -constitution

    -toughness

    -concentration

-tactics lore OR an other skill

my question: Is tactics lore really useful in this build? It always nice to do (much) more damage, but since I'm boosting Purifying Chastisement a lot + Gold-mod that boosts damage by 18% +2% per CA level, I am expecting to do enough damage only with this. If I don't pick tactics lore, I could get Combat Discipline or anything else...

(tell me if this build is okay btw)

    thanks for the future replies

  9. Some of the mechanisms you propose might not be possible to realize for us. (Esp. the attacking but blocking CAs bit)

I am currently looking into these summon CAs of all classes. The idea was to speed the summonees up a bit, so they can get to the action before you already killed everything. I will keep your suggestion in mind, but it might not be possible to do this. :)

ok, thanks for the reply :)

  10. I think Inexorable Subjugation would be more useful if we could attack while casting it .

Maybe remove the stun effect and replace it with movement speed/attack speed reduction? because attacking while the other guy is stunned sounds a bit overpowered.

Because right now I'm having trouble trying to lower mobs' HP without giving the kiling blow and then casting IS to get the ghost, and it would be alot easier to get it if we could attack it while it's on the effect of IS.

And it's really annoying when you cast it on the wrong mob and then having to wait like 5 secondes being "stunned" (basically has the same effect...) before you can do anything else

    My changes idea:

-You can attack while casting Inexorable Subjugation, but you can't cast Combat Arts

-While under the effect of Inexorable Subjugation, ennemy's attack and movement speed are reduced by 30% (+0.5% per CA level instead of being stunned

sorry for my less than perfect english
