OK, so long as youi don't mind what may be stupid questions.
1) Can a mage in Luna do Area of Effect damage as in Sacred 2, as well as hitting individual monsters with spells?
2) How best to deal with magic regen/speed of spell use?
3) Which race is best for which class?
4) Which attr to increase for which class/skill?
5) Is a warrior better off with 2H weapons for damage, or 1H & shield for defense?
6) Rogue, ranged or melee and why?
There we go, you can't say I don't offer you the chance to dazzle us with your knowledge. Though you do get to show what an ignorant newbie I am.

2) pots, and/or WIS if you are going full support
3) both. Each class has over 100 different possible paths, and both classes will find ways to excell.
4) see number 3. It depends on your job path. Safe is STR for soldiers, DEX for rogues, INT for Mages
5) matter of preference. That's what makes this game so totally great!
6) see number 5. Do you like to snipe from a distance, or get up close and personal? the choice is yours, and choices are always good
As a side note, there are no "stupid" questions. Well there are a few, like "honey, doesn't that dress make you look kind of fat?". But here, there are no stupid questions here, except a question unasked

Obviously our best recruting will be done ingame by getting to know people. But also we will be gettign cold contacts, and visitors that we've never met or only know a little.
What kind of applications should we have? What kinds of questions would you like to see?

Hey all,
We should start brain-storming about how we will organize. Right now we are all equal in terms of ingame level and experience, but pretty soon we will be recruiting newbies, and and bringing in new people that may be higher level.
We also need to come up with some section rules. Who is allowed to create guilds, how do we recruit, rules on PvP, alliances, etc.
We don't need anyting in stone right now, just a bunch of ideas that we can bat around and narrow down.

As for the sub-titles, if everyone is too shy, then I will name them myself, and you will have to live with them for awhile

I will cross post this in the general and the guide forum, because if you are brand new, you don’t want to be hunting through a bunch of sub-forums
This guide will basically get ingame and going without having to spend hours reviewing all the online guides (like I did
) You’ll spend a few hours leveling up and learning the design, layout, and mechanics. And it is difficult to mess up a character badly in the first 10 levels – any little mistakes will be smoothed out. So armed with this, please don’t hesitate to just jump in with both feet and learn as you go along!
1) We are in Eclipse server. If you make your character in Crescent, then you will be all alone. So choose Eclipse. Eclipse. Eclipse
2) When you log into the game, choose your race (human/elf), gender (M/F), class (rogue, mage, soldier), hair, and eyes. There are only subtle differences between Elves and Humans, so don't worry about it too much.
3) The first 10 levels are entirely quest driven. This is designed for the absolute beginner.
4) There is also an interactive tutorial that is woven into the mainline quest. It coves the hot keys and the mouse mechanics and the basic skills. It also gives you experience and rewards, and a lot of ego boosting positive feedback

What to do :
You must go to see Marche, a general goods merchant at the gate of Alker.

Getting rid of Red turtles (kill 7 red turtles near the gate of Alker)
6) Preperations for a trip :

What to do :
Go to Alker Harbor and meet priestess Luna.
7) Collecting the information :

Where to return : Farouk [Magic League] < Alker Harbor >
What to do :
You must meet nearly everyone in Alker Harbor. They will send you on a round robin, and sometimes you’ll talk to the same person 2 or 3 times. Just keep circling town and chat with anyone that has an exclamation sign over them. You will also pick up a few extra quests during this quest, which is perfect and will set you up well for the next guide I will write (level 11-15 guide)
Three other notes.
a) You should not have to buy anything for the first 10 levels, except perhaps a level 5 class weapon (even then your beginning weapon can prolly get you to level 10).
b) Stats -- for now put all in DEX for rogues, all in STR for soldiers, and all in INT for Mages.
c) Skills – pick one active attack skill, and then focus the rest on passives. The skills are self explanatory.
So this will get you to level 10 while you learn a ton about the game. By that time you will know if this game is for you. If it is, then the next guide will focus on specific builds, item storage, and NPC buying/selling!

We need names, and a brief discription of each subforum.
The idea for the names is to be game related and yet reflect the purpose of the subforum. The idea for the disription is to be creative and fun and to give a first time visitor a taste of the game and what the subforums contain.

I had a great day with with friends and family, and even survived the Suns getting kicked from the playoffs. And I get a 3 day weekend due to the US holiday -- it is a great time of year to have a birthday
